About this cottage rental
Box Tree Cottage has a delightfully comfortable private annexe suitable for one or two adults. It is light, bright and decorated in a simple fresh style with every consideration for your comfort yet retaining the character of the cottage. It has been refurbished to a high standard and offering non smoking accommodation for the comfort of my guests. It is self contained and entirely private adjacent to the owners house.
I continue to follow VRBO guidance and safety updates in regard to Covid infection. This allows sufficient time for ventilation and increased time for cleaning which has always been to a very high standard. Most guests have rated it as sparkling clean or indeed spotless. I use Ecover cleaning products combined with the recommended disinfectant.
You will find tea, coffee - both instant and ground, herbal teas and condiments for your convenience. I will be in touch with my contact details and code to the key safe shortly prior to your arrival.
The inviting living room is well furnished with a comfortable sofa with a 24 inch TV/DVD.
The kitchenette has a dining table with two chairs There is a combination grill, microwave and oven with an electric two ring ceramic hob. You will find a good size fridge, kettle and toaster and all crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment and utensils of good quality.
At the end of the living room you will find a french door opening onto a secluded courtyard with patio table and two chairs which catches the morning sun and is a pleasant spot for breakfast.
Upstairs the galleried bedroom has a delightful oak double bedstead which leads onto a tastefully appointed en-suite shower room. The duvet and pillows are the specialist anti allergy range from John Lewis. There is a good sized chest of drawers which allows for generous storage and ample hanging space.
The annexe is cosy and warm from the efficient and effective electric heating which are on preset timers.
Upstairs, both bedside tables have reading lights as well as relaxing wall lights on dimmer switches. In the en-suite shower room there is a razor socket, heated towel rail and Mira electric sport shower. There are full instructions on how to use all the electrical items in the annexe.
On arrival you will find a designated safe parking area on the drive at the front of the cottage with easy access to your private entrance. A key safe allows you to arrive at your convenience.
The annexe is adjacent to my home and I have my entrance on the opposite side and at the back of the cottage. Guests will be given my numbers or can just knock on my door. Please do not hesitate to ask, I am there to help out if needed. We may meet on the drive there but be assured that you will be left quietly to enjoy your time away.
Everton village is is a quiet and ideal location to explore the New Forest National Park with its picturesque villages such as Brockenhurst. The sailing town of Lymington provides wonderful walks around its sea wall, great restaurants cafes and a large variety of shops and designer boutiques.
Within walking distance, you will find Milford on Sea with its promenade, clean beaches, restaurants, traditional pubs and cafes.
There are numerous opportunities for walking, cycling, picnics in the beautiful scenery of the New Forest with its natural harbours such as Keyhaven, Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard. I am happy to give personal recommendations of restaurants, cafes or places to visit.
And last but certainly not least, the friendly Everton village store is just at the end of the lane offering a wide range of groceries, fresh bread, fruit and vegetables and an excellent selection of wines, beers and spirits. The Post Office counter provides easy banking facilities.
At the other end of the lane, barely a a five minute walk is The Crown Pub.
It is the most ideal to arrive by car as the bus services are limited. The nearest mainline station is Brockenhurst with direct trains to London and all other railway networks. Trains go to Southampton and Bournemouth both of which have large shopping centres, for example, West Quay in Southampton or a day out on the train from Brockenhurst to Weymouth where you will find the journey interesting and Weymouth has a wonderful beach, sea front and harbour pubs.

What a great cottage. Location is really good, close to pub and shop, but a pretty long walk to the sea. Some great restaurants and pubs in the surrounding area.
The place itself is lovely. Spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need. Linda, the owner, lives next door and is super helpful, but also respected our privacy.
We would definitely consider a return visit. Thanks!!

What an absolute find! Just perfect for our visit to the New Forest. So very welcoming, small but perfectly formed. Everything you’d need for a home from home experience.
We would most definitely recommend to anyone looking for the perfect bolt hole and relaxing space to return “home” to after a day exploring the New Forest, fabulous location just a couple of miles from the coast in one direction and beautiful villages in the other.
Linda was a wonderful host and provided lots of information and places of interest for our stay. Plus a wonderful chocolate cake. Thank you Linda :-)

A lovely little apartment spotlessly clean and with everything you need for a short visit. The owner was lovely and accommodating nothing was too much trouble. However the car park was difficult to negotiate with a large car from the narrow lane.

Couples will love this small cottage annex in Everton. It is beautifully clean and freshly decorated. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, it even has a little garden at the back to enjoy the outside. Everton is very picturesque and there is a very convenient grocery store at the end of the lane. Linda is very kind and accommodating and made us feel very welcome indeed. We have a lot of praise for Box Tree Cottage, and would like to return again.
Many thanks, Linda.

A lovely place to stay off and away from the main roads, immaculately clean, not cluttered allowing plenty of room to settle down quickly on arrival. It is cosy and you will love the shower among everything there is to enjoy. It has been carefully and lovingly planned out, to ensure you feel comfortable.
A short drive to many locations in and around the New Forest as well as the coast which I believe is about 4 to 5 miles and a really nice walk if you chose to ramble.
The host Linda, goes out of her way to be helpful and to offer advice

Lovely base for exploring the New Forest
Just what we needed for the two of us. We appreciated it that the cottage was extremely clean. Enjoyed waking up to the birds singing and seeing the roses outside the bedroom window. Linda gave great suggestions on eating out.

Great cosy cottage for two
This is our second stay at Linda's cottage, thank you Linda :) We love the area, set in beautiful surroundings and with a handy village store at the bottom of the road. The cottage is very pretty and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. There is lots to see and do in Hampshire, and Milford-on-Sea is only a short drive or bus journey away.

Adorable Cottage for Couples
A very comfortable stay in the beautiful village of Everton. Everything inside the cottage was brilliantly designed, the decor light and airy, and everything we needed. Linda had left us the most delicious chocolate cake, which was so thoughtful.
There is a handy food store just a couple of minutes' walk up the lane which has amazing local produce as well as all the essentials.
We will definitely be booking again, and we cannot thank Linda enough for a wonderful stay.

Very hot & short stay
Arriving at the property was easy, however parking my SUV on the driveway was a task in the dark, there is a fence just opposite the drive so makes pulling on and off very tight. To locate the key you needed a torch, luckily our smartphones have this ability.
Upon opening the door to the property we found it to be extremely hot, we had to open windows and turn off radiators as it was stifling when unloading the car. The property was still very hot overnight and very uncomfortable & unfortunately there seemed to be a perfume kind of smell that was a tad too strong for me. The bed was quite firm & not what we are used to.
The shower was not powerful at all, we felt like we hadn't even had a shower after using.
We decided that 1 night of our 2 night stay was enough and left early in the morning.
The property is very small, I would not recommend a long stay here unless you are alone. Unfortunately didn't feel that the cost of the stay was reflected, especially with the high cleaning & service fee added on for such a small space & the fact you have to take your own towels, apparently due to covid, but we had stayed in multiple places over the previous week without the requirement for our own towels.
Was not the end to a honeymoon & 30th birthday we wanted.

Gorgeous property in a good location.
We had a lovely few days at Box Tree Cottage. Linda obviously takes great pride in her cottage and everything was very clean and welcoming. It was really handy with a post office/general store just down the lane and a pub an equal distance in the opposite direction. Will definitely stay again when down in that area.

Pleasant Annexe
We thought this was a well furnished clean comfortable venue. It is small and therefore we were happy having a mini break. The home was well equipped - beware the narrow lane and parking on drive! We would recommend for a short stay.

Perfectly located for exploring both The New Forest and nearby coast. We received a warm friendly welcome from the owner Linda and the small, cosy annexe was spotless and had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this property.

Spotlessly clean a little on the small side annexe.
A spotlessly clean annexe. Has everything you need but a little on the small side and the entrance is tricky with a larger car. Pub a few minutes walk one way down the lane and the other way a very well stocked shop . Property within easy reach of Lymington and Milford on Sea. Linda the host is very pleasant and helpful with local knowledge.

Just what we needed!
The annex is delightful, very small but expertly laid out, looking just like something from a magazine. The local shop is fabulous and about a minute's walk away, and the village was charming

Box Cottage stay
We were absolutely delighted with our stay. The flat was immaculate and comfortable with modern fixtures, and our hostess was helpful but not intrusive. A very well stocked general store was only a minute walk away, and a delightful pub with great food was a 5 minute walk away. We loved stay here.

Stay in Everton
Easy to find and easy to check in. Linda did chcek with us a couple of times that everything was ok.
The property was clean and everything that we wanted was there.
There was a lovely little shop at the end of the road about 10 yards away which was perfect.
At the other end of the road was the pub which was lovely.
Great setting for visiting Bealieu motor museum and Bucklers Hard. Lymington Old Quay was interesting

An absolute gem
We have previously stayed at South Lawn hotel due to its proximity to our son and daughter in laws. If we are not staying at their house we stay there. This time they were fully booked over the middle of the dates we wanted to stay and that’s when I found Box Tree Cottage. What a find! The Cottage is one ( with en Suite shower room) and up one
down and is an absolute gem. Beautifully furnished and kitted out with a wonderful host, thank you Linda. Thick Christie towels, super comfy bed, your own private patio and a cake on arrival. We loved our stay here and will definitely return soon. Of course I will recommend Linda and Box tree cottage. Thank you Linda.
