Slaters Run Winery has opened a beautiful new tasting room and deck at the Upperville winery, AND Upperville Farm and Feed has opened across the street and features fresh, local produce and farm eggs, and will soon source local meats. So much happening in the tiny village of Upperville!

Oh! And if its a full moon, grab a sleeping bag and go down by the creek, or have a fire in the fire pit on any night- its a magical place. Smores made around the bonfire are enormously popular year round.

This house is in horse country. It Is stone and brick - charming as much of its original qualities have been maintained. Kitchen was well stocked.

We are a group of childhood friends who stayed at the Mill House to celebrate our 40th birthdays. Constance was responsive and helpful. She was personable and it felt like she was excited for us and wanted us to have a good time and enjoy our relaxing trip. We were at the Mill House in the summertime and it was well air conditioned and peaceful. I could see how it would be a great place to stay in the fall/winter as well. We'd stay here again!

We had a wonderful long weekend with friends! House was beautiful and clean and has such a fun layout, and a really nice pool and outdoor space. We are already thinking about when we can go back!

This place was as beautiful as the pictures described. So much history in the house and on property. The outdoors area was a family favorite. So many places to relax not to mention a beautiful pool area. Will definitely come back

My wife and I spent the weekend there for our anniversary. The house is beautiful inside and out, but we spent most of our time on the front porch, the patio, and at the pool. They are incredible and the listing pictures don't do them justice! The host is also really nice, gave us great restaurant recommendations, and was super easy to communicate with. 10/10

Can’t think of a more picturesque spot to spend the weekend in Middleburg/Upperville. Constance made the whole experience a joy! We can’t wait to come back.

We stayed at the Mill House to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday. She wanted to unwind and spend the weekend sitting by a fireplace with a glass of wine and a book. This house was perfect for a relaxing weekend with my sisters and our mom. Constance was the perfect hostess and she gave us so many good tips for restaurants and activities in the area. The highlight of our trip was Trivia Night at the Head Tavern. We had a blast and everyone was so welcoming!

Our Philadelphia friends joined us at this lovely and welcoming estate. Special spaces and sights greeted us. The history not only of this home but also of the area is grand. The roads are just what our meditation guides have suggested for calm and peace. Of course the restaurants in the area are splendid. We did not want to leave; we did "float" home though.

The Mill House was a perfect place for our family get away. The house and property have a ton of charm and history, and the location is close to many places of interest and great wineries and restaurants. Constance was a pleasure to deal with and she made the whole stay enjoyable.

We have been coming to the Mill House for 5 years now in the fall. The grandchildren have so many fond memories. The Mill House is so comfortable with the fireplace in the great room, the outdoor fire pit, and the creek for the kids to play in. We also love the proximity to the lovely town of Middleburg.

We stayed at the Mill House to attend a family wedding in Middleburg the same weekend as the Middleburg film festival. We could not have been happier with our choice to stay in Upperville. The home was charming, inviting, and oh-so-comfortable! Constance responded quickly to every inquiry, and went above and beyond in her efforts to be a gracious hostess. We loved the little touches that show she cares about her guests' comfort and enjoyment - fresh flowers placed throughout the house, the lovely welcome basket with treats, a variety of coffees and spices in the kitchen. While there were only 4 of us sharing the home, we found oodles of room to spread out in several sitting areas downstairs, a wood-burning fireplace (with wood and s'more ingredients provided), and a lovely screened-in porch to enjoy the afternoon with a glass of wine. The grounds are absolutely lovely! Constance also provided us with a printout that explained the fascinating history of the Mill House and the Upperville area. The home is nearly 300 years old (built in 1740), and there are reasonably expected small quirks that come with a home so richly steeped in history. For example, we marveled at the irregularity of the original stairs with hundreds of years of wear, softened and smoothed to a shine by generations of residents. These unique features lend additional charm to the experience. We absolutely loved our stay at Mill House, and would be thrilled to stay there again!

Prayer group that raised our kids together and have since moved away to different states … looking to gather in a retreat like setting. This fit the bill perfectly. We enjoyed going into Middleburg checking out shops, riding our bikes but the screened in “house”/porch was one of our most favorite spots to visit, catch up and pray together.

Wonderful location for family wedding in Upperville, enter from the main road but set back from the road on a private, peaceful lush property with a beautiful pool. Two porches and enclosed outdoor kitchen. Inside clean and comfortable.

July- We stayed for 6 days as a home base to check out surrounding areas. As a family of 5, (3 kids ages 14 & two 11 yo’s) space inside & out is a top priority. If you’re looking for the perfect stay with children this hit all our needs- beautiful pool, creek thriving with life, fireflies & space indoors for everyone to have enough room throughout the beautiful historic home. Tons of books for all ages, nice kitchen perfect for cooking meals & outdoor screened in game room that’s set apart from the house. Property is stunning, relaxing & so much space to walk around ! Constance, it was such a pleasure meeting you & can’t thank you enough for opening your home for others to enjoy ! You’re amazing for preserving the history of this historic beautiful home !

We loved our stay at Constance's house! The house itself is charming and historic, which we loved. There was plenty of space for our group to spread out, though we mostly gathered together around the large dining room table or in the screened in pavilion (which we loved!). The pool was a true highlight -- super refreshing and with beautiful views. We've been coming to the area for a while now, but staying in Upperville allowed us to really appreciate it all. We took a great hike at Sky Meadows, and also walked some local gravel roads. Constance was communicative and kind. We will be back!

We had a great time with our family at the Mill House. Constance is a wonderful host and communicated quickly whenever we had questions. The house is old and very interesting. The pool was fun and we spent tons of time with the kids at the stream. Visited breweries, wineries and the local farmers market….a great time was had by all!

My husband, three year old, and I stayed here for a long weekend just before we welcomed our second child. The property is gorgeous and the local towns and farmlands are stunning. We had fun wandering around the property and briefly in the pool (it was cold!). We had to leave a bit early to head to the hospital as I thought I went into labor, but turned out to be a false alarm. Owner was incredibly understanding and kind. Highly recommend.

Cozy and oozing with history. The view from the lawn is spectacular…a stream with horses grazing in the meadow.

It was a relaxing stay, the kids enjoyed playing near the stream and making smores by the campfire. There are a lot of fun day trips nearby and the local farm-to-table tavern was delicious.

This was our second time staying in The Mill House, and it once again exceeded our expectations. Not only is it a lovely, history filled property, but it also in a location that cannot be beat to enjoy Northern VA. Home is well-appointed with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Working with Constance is a dream. Thank you for sharing your fabulous home with our family again!!! If we return to the area, this home is definitely at the top of our list.

Eight members of our three generations of family met for a family get together. The Grounds were interesting to walk around. How fascinating to walk up steps that are over 200 years old.
Home is beautifully appointed and well stocked, has everything you could think of. Even the linens were beautiful
Most of all, the hostess could not have been more gracious and accommodating. She reached out in advance with recommendations for shopping and recommendations. She met us when we arrived and was very helpful
Would definitely recommend to anyone and will book again if our family gathers in the area again.

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations.
Lovely decor/ambiance, comfy beds/great linens, huge, amazing living room fireplace...ready to go! Big/beautiful kitchen/dining area....so spacious we couldn't enjoy some rooms! Contance is a marvelous/attentive owner/host. Highly recommend Mill House.

We LOVE the Mill House! This marks our 4th November trip. The grandchildren look forward to foraging for sticks to start a fire in the fire pit, making s’mores, donning boots to walk/play in the creek, and this year…the discovery of the “bamboo forest.”
The house is just as amazing! So comfy and cozy! The great room has an amazing fireplace and a family table for lots of games and puzzles.
Constance is the perfect host: welcoming and attentive. Plus, a wealth of information about local history.

This house is cozy (but roomy), with a glorious fireplace. The Virginia Piedmont is the most beautiful place in the world in the fall. So many lovely walks close by, as well as delicious places to eat.

It was perfect for our family of 8. We were in town for a wedding and the location was very convenient to all of the places we needed to be. In our down time, we opted to relax here because it was beautiful. Great coffee and breakfast at Blue Water Market just down the street. We would definitely stay here again.
We had to make a change to the reservation and Constance was super helpful and responsive. We also had questions about the wedding bus, etc., and, again, she was great.

This house was absolutely charming. One of the best vacation houses I’ve stayed in. The pictures do not do it justice. I would highly recommend to all my friends and family, and cannot wait to come back!

The house was very comfortable. We appreciated the character of the old home. We found everything we needed to cook and enjoy the evenings. The weather didn't allow us to use the pool or the fire pit. We suggest you get a spatula for the nice frying pans you have. Also, thanks getting the cast iron frying pan for us. It was perfect. We will not hesitate staying at the house if we are in the area again.

Girls weekend with my adult daughters.
The house had plenty of spaces to lounge and laugh. Lovely grounds & worked well for a location for winery visits. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch room! It’s an old home and has all the charm to go with it.

Constance’s house in the country checked all the promised boxes: scenic property and comfortable house with plenty of space to accommodate our family group. A favorite spot was the screened pavilion, with easy couches and chaises as well as toys for the toddler. The pool and creek were also a big hit. Truly an enjoyable stay!
