About this apartment rental
SMOKE-FREE & ANIMAL ALLERGEN FREE HOME
This is a spacious furnished apartment connected to my home. Large bedroom with queen sized bed, living room, dinning nook, kitchenette and bathroom. As well as a private 2 car driveway and private direct entrance into the apartment. Queen sized air mattress fits comfortable in the common area or in the main bedroom.
The apartment is less than 5 miles from Dover Downs & DSU, less than 3 miles from Wesley College, and only minutes from the Dover AFB. Located just off of the Route 1 exits as well.
ABSOLUTELY NO PETS OR ANIMALS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED IN THE UNIT - Unfortunately, I can not host reservations with animals. I have severe allergies and the ventilation between the home and the apartment is shared as well as all outdoor spaces on the property. My physical health is a priority . Requests with animals will be declined. Reservations who show with an animal will be immediately cancelled without refund, a claim for the $150 security deposit as well as an additional $350 fee for deep cleaning and duct cleaning to remove all traces of allergens.

My home is backed by a very wooded area. So there is a potential for the occasional woodland bug (water bugs, spiders, rollie polies) and animals (moles, deer, rabbits and birds). Bug spray is provided.

Screened porch area and shed located in the backyard is off limits.
The apartment has a private entrance located on the right side of the home.

This place had everything we needed. My wife,
son, and I loved the coziness. We were very comfortable and Nikki made sure of it. She checked in with us at least twice a day to make sure everything was good and that there wasn’t anything else we need. We had one small issue and Nikki took care of it immediately. There is great access to key routes as well. We will be back if we our back in the area for lacrosse again.

Communication with Nikki was excellent; place was tidy and well-stocked with snacks, water, towels and bath amenities (great touch); for location/neighborhood I gave it 4 as the location in southern Dover was convenient, but the neighborhood is a bit sketchy.

This is a great location! The community is a nice little cul-de-sac that is like a home away feom home. Location for me was important, close to Dover AFB! Easy to find.
Property owner kept in constant contact and provided a "guidebook" that laid out the rules, expectations, and even local menus!!!
Bed was comfortable and the kitchen area is mint to make some quick meals!
Super clean and there was a snack basket that was full of great options!!!

We have had to travel to DE several times for my son’s lacrosse tournaments. We have stayed here almost every time. It’s convenient, small but perfect for two people, clean, safe and Nikki is a very conscientious host. Thank you for everything!

We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and it was a great distance away from the DE turf fields. It was nice and clean and well appointed with little snacks for our use. No complaints here! Thank you for the stay. We will check back at the next tournament.

I stayed at Edi’s Suite for 2 nights to do birdwatching at Bombay Hook NWR and nearby sites such as Port Mahon Road and Little Creek WMA. The location of the suite provides easy access to all these areas. The suite met all my expectations and more. Everything shown in the photos of the suite was there, so I knew what I needed to bring, i.e., a toaster for my morning bagel. Nikki, the host, was very nice and even took a break from her work to come by and show me how to use the streaming services she provides (Netflix and Amazon) because I’m an oldster who only has cable and didn’t know that all I had to do was press the Netflix button on the remote! I recommend Edi’s suite to anyone who wants something more than a hotel room and wants to do some visiting or traveling in the area.

I was visiting my son at the AF base, Nikki’s home is close and everything she described. This property is clean and you won’t find a more accommodating host. She is very attentive, you can tell she wants her guests to feel at home. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Stayed 2 nights while traveling through the area. Very nice little place, perfect for our needs and super clean. There was an issue with the door not locking, but the owner was very responsive and helped us resolve the issue. Had a lot of thoughtful extras like individually wrapped toiletries, bottled water, snacks, etc. The owner is really sweet and made us feel very welcome. An upgraded mattress would be great, and am sure that's in the works as this host clearly cares about her guests. If traveling on a budget and need to stay in the area, it's a good option.

Nikki is a fantastic host! She’s thoughtful, friendly, kind, and understanding. We were in Dover for a lacrosse tournament at the DE Turf sports complex and our final game ran late and the traffic back was heavy. Nikki allowed us to overstay our welcome while making us feel relieved about it. She also had cold waters in the fridge and snacks on the table upon our arrival. You can’t go wrong staying at Nikki’s apartment.

Great stopover on our way back to MA. We got in late and had no trouble figuring out anything for check-in/settling in since Nikki was very communicative. Our little one was happy to find some snacks in the morning :) Thank you!

Lovely home
The space was exactly how it was explained in the listing. It was perfect for what we needed for our trip. I loved the little snacks that were provided and the different coffee creamers. Nikki was wonderful checking in everyday making sure we were OK! Would come back again!

The apartment had everything we needed. It was very clean and cosy. A perfect stay for 1 or 2 people. Delaware beaches and stores with driving distance.

Convenient & Cute!
This property was not only convenient to everything that we needed but it was super clean and cute! Nikki, the host, was amazing! She thought of every detail: (which were very much appreciated after a day of airplane delays!) toiletries, snacks, fluffy towels, creamers for coffee and waters cooling in the fridge. She was considerate, kind, and truly just a wonderful host. She checked in on us and made sure everything was exactly what we needed. Thank you for everything Nikki. We will be back!

Excellent Place to stop over in Dover
We were driving from MA to the Oiter Banks, NC, and stopped over in Dover DE as the halfway point. We were running late and got a little confused in the neighborhood (Google maps misdirected us! Grrrrr!) but everything worked out fine. We had a good night's rest and continued on the next day. I chatted with Nikki, whi was maintaining the outside property when we left, and she was very friendly and personable. Altogether a great place to stay and I highly recommend it. Watch out for Google maps sending you to the same house number on a different street!

I was in town to visit with my son in the Air Force. This place is literally like five minutes from base. Close to shopping mall and huge variety of restaurants as well. There is a small kitchen to use too but I opted to eat out. Great communication with owner. Would be honored to stay there again and for sure recommend staying there.

This VBRO is comfortable and close to Dover Downs. Our host went out of her to way to find local restaurants to meet our dining preferances. The bed was comfortable after a long day at a conference and check in and check out were easy.

This was close to the location of the event we were attending. The property is clean, comfortable and Nikki is great to deal with. She made sure we had everything we needed and the snacks and bottled water on our arrival were an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

Exactly What I needed!!!
When I arrived I felt just like I was at home. All my basic needs we're met and even when I opened the fridge there was water and I was so glad because I had forgotten to stop on my way in. Nikki was awesome and was in constant communication with me the entire time and was extremely pleasant with every interaction. I've already told her that I will be coming back to her property whenever I am in the Dover area.
