No relaxing and worry-free getaway, but pleasant enough to make it work for a few days

The apartment we got in the end was pleasant and had mostly what we needed. People should be aware though, that the pictures shown on the ad are just from one apartment alone. There are actually 5 apartments / rooms in this house. And there lies the first problem. Even though we specifically asked for an apartment with a seperate bedroom and a washing machine (which was confirmed by the host before we arrived), we got shown an „apartment“ (more like a hotel room), which had just a bed, something you can barely call a kitchen and a bathroom without a washing machine. When we addressed the issue, we got shown another hotel room style „apartment“. At that point we were kinda annoyed about the situation. The issue got solved when they showed us the actual apartment, which was more expensive. Fair enough, but it could have been communicated clearer from the start. We didn’t understand why the host showed us the first two rooms, knowing that that was not what we wanted. That kind of false advertisement was very unprofessional in our opinion. Location was good though, quiet neighbourhood, parking.

The house rules were very misleading, saying we can’t use the stove. After asking the daughter (which checked us in btw), she didn’t know what that was about and told us, that we can use it. English is clearly an issue here, texts from the host were unclear and caused lots of avoidable problems. Things that were advertised like Netflix, an electric kettle where not to be found. The TV in the bedroom didn’t work at all. Wifi worked, was sometimes a bit patchy and slow though, especially with two different Wifis working better in different rooms. Two days into our stay, we got accused of using the washing machine non-stop, which was not true at all. We are travelling in our roof top tent and naturally we don’t have a washing machine in the car. We asked for the machine at the time of booking, which seemed like it was not a problem. It shouldn’t have been a surprise that we actually use it. We ran one machine a day, allowing the clothes to dry. On said day, the hot water stopped working and someone came to fix it straight away (which was good). The hot water situation is not great in general. There is barely enough water for two people to have a 3 minute shower after each other, so we had cold showers sometimes. The washing machine situation lead to hours of arguing through text messages, telling us that the apartment is not a laundry room. Also telling us that the apartment is actually 50€ per night, which we thought was a bit unnecessary to tell us, cause after all she gave us the apartment for that price and that was all the information we got out of it. It’s not our fault that it was actually more expensive. Advertise your rooms and apartments better and it wouldn’t have been a problem. If you confirm an apartment with a seperate bedroom and washing machine for a specific price, stand by it and don’t make us feel guilty for it in the end. From that time on we felt like the rest of the privacy was gone.

The Best place to stay ! super clean and even luxury

House owner was so welcoming and kind to us, we were late for check in like 00:30 and they waited for us, everything was super clean like my grandmom house, bathroom was really nice, great decorated house

When we were leaving and I paid for the accommodation, the owner asked me: give us 10/10 on Booking. Under normal circumstances, this would correspond to reality, but we chose the accommodation because the apartment had a charging station listed on Booking. But in reality it was not possible to recharge the car here. Please delete this falsehood. We had to recharge 1200 meters away, which was not very comfortable (the car was overnight in the parking lot at the water park + and I spent an extra 30 minutes on the way). Otherwise, the apartment was nice, with air conditioning, sufficient for a short stay. We got plums (thanks!). Trebinje is beautiful.

Helpful Host + Amazing Views + Peaceful Surrounds

1. The host (Irena) was helpful with tips - restaurants, things to see, etc. and responsive to questions. 2. Amazing view from bedroom balcony overlooking the beautiful colours of Autumn, mountains, river, etc. 3. Very spacious apartment (according to their profile, it was 70m2). Apartment is more spacious than the photos in the profile. 4. Comfortable bed. 5. The central heating kept the apartment comfortable when we were there (Nov - Autumn). 6. Quiet and peaceful. 7. Walking distance to Tvrdos Monastery and Sun City (Aqua Park, Etno Selo restaurant). 8. Nice walking path for peaceful walk around the neighbourhood. River and mountain views. 9. Kitchen has microwave oven, oven, electric kettle, pots and pans, etc. 10. Some complimentary fruits, coffee sachet, etc. at the apartment.

Nothing I dislike. Only a small note for those who don't have a car: it is a 4.5 km walk to Trebinje city centre (e.g. large supermarket). No walking path along the road to the city. A taxi ride will cost about 6-7 KM (Bosnian currency).

Perfect place to stay and enjoy

All was perfect. Located in a green area near Trebinje, perfectly clean and very functional. Has everything you need. Beds extreamely comfortable. Staff was perfect. If we visit Trebinje again, we will go there for sure.

New and big apartment! :)

The apartment is very new and clean. It has everything you need to cook and eat at home. The host is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed homegrown cherries and a cold beer on our first day of arrival. The city of Trebinje is just a few minutes away by car. There you will find everything you may need (restaurants, cafés, little old town, pharmacies etc.) In case you enjoy waterparks, the "Grad Sunca - Aqua and Dino Park" is just down the road.
