Searenity is a modern holiday home and has been independently assessed and given a 4.5 Star Rating by AAA Tourism. This 3 bedroom holiday home is located in a peaceful area at idyllic Emu Bay on the north coast of Kangaroo Island.
Enjoy sweeping sea views from the living area and deck. Searenity is spacious, elegantly appointed and provides all the facilities and comforts for a relaxing stay for just a couple or up to 8 guests. It offers 2 bathrooms, an additional powder room and a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher.
Other features include FREE Wi-Fi,Flatscreen HD TV, DVD, Foxtel (satellite TV), r/c air conditioning and carport. All bed linen and bath towels are included in the tariff.
Take advantage of the close proximity to the beautiful safe swimming beach or childrens playground nearby. Launch your own boat from boat ramp or fish from either the jetty or beach or perhaps use one of the local fishing charters. Emu Bay is only a 15min drive to the Island's main township of Kingscote and central to the island's natural attractions.

The amenities were first class lacking for nothing in the kitchen and elsewhere.
Herb having been a ranger on KI for some 30 years was able to advise where and when to go during our 4 night stay.

What a fantastic place to stay. Great location in a quiet nook of Kangaroo Island with the most stunning views of the water. The perfect base to see everything Kangaroo Island has to offer. The house was so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. There was thoughtful touches everywhere and your every need seemed to have been thought of by the hosts, even ones we hadn't thought of. The hosts, Herb and Janette, were amazing. When we arrived after dark, Herb met us with a torch to guide us exactly where we needed to go. The house was very welcoming with the lights and heater on. Herb had gone to the trouble of highlighting a map for us and gave us a brief rundown on the island, as well as a few tips and tricks. The house was spotless and so welcoming.
One of the best parts of the day was breakfast on the deck looking over the water. We even had a few friends join us in the form of kangaroos, birds and a koala.
Searenity is truly one of the best properties we have ever stayed. The house, amazing and the hosts, so welcoming and friendly without being in any way intrusive.
We cannot wait to return to Kangaroo Island and we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The property had everything we needed (and more), was very well maintained and provided a great base for two families holidaying together. The nearby kangaroos, beachfront penguins, ever present pelicans, geckos and wallabies just added to the fun. The resident echidna was a huge hit. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

What an amazing place to stay it was absolutely perfect in every way. Accomodation was modern, clean and has absolutely everything you need. Accomodation is in a perfect position to relax after a day out. also close to wildlife, the jetty and beach if you want to fish or just stroll around.
I would not stay in any other place, thanks to Herb and Janette for also being the perfect hosts.

Cannot fault anything! Beautiful house in a fantastic location with amazing views. The house had every amenity you could need and was spotlessly clean and modern. The owners communicated well and on arrival suggested places for us to visit. There were kangaroos and koalas right next to the property. We even had an echidna come into the front garden.
Would definitely recommend this property and the location was great for visiting all of KI’s attractions.

Home away from home
Herb and Janette are fantastic hosts whose property is in a beautiful location and who go beyond the usual to make sure their house is well stocked with those conveniences that you take for granted at home including utensils, crockery, and pantry basics for groups up to 8 people. They even had picnic resources, travel mugs and thermoses for us to take out during our day trips. Their friendliness and local knowledge also made sure we made the most of our short time on KI.

Wonderful holiday home in a wonderful location
Our wonderful hosts Herb and Janette provided the best equipped and most comfortable holiday home we have stayed in.The home has a lovely view to the sea and is in a whisper quiet location. The kitchen and lounge are spacious and well equipped. Location was very close to the jetty, beach, penguins and a koala. The deck was a wonderful highlight at the beginning and end of wonderful day trips around the island. The home was very clean. We had a wonderful holiday.

Luxury Plus!
If you are after luxury and top end finishes, plus friendly and helpful owners then this is definitely the place for you. Great views, kangaroos in the back paddock, a resident echidna and everything you could possibly want for anything from one night to a week or two. Plenty of space, and super friendly hosts to give hints on what to see and where the best places to visit are. Cannot recommend highly enough - if I ever come back to Kangaroo Island this is where I’m staying.

All You Could Want
Our stay at Searenity Home was amazing. Herb and Janette met us at the property and showed us around. It had an amazing view of Emu Bay and was centrally located on the island, reasonably close too all attractions. It was clean, well kept and had everything you could want included. We were visited by some kangaroos most days too which was a bonus.

Everything we needed and more!
Our stay at Searenity exceeded our expectations. Herb and Janette were wonderful hosts, amazed accommodating and full of helpful information that helped us on our trip to KI (Herb used to work in the NP and gave us many great tips).
The home itself was spacious and comfy and literally had everything we needed and more. Including a box of toys, an esky, books, beach towels and picnic set. Herb and Janette have thought of everything! The view from the living room and deck is spectacular.
Emu Bay itself is a beautiful town, perfect if you're looking to stay outside of Kingscote but not too far away.

Superb Property and Location!
Janette and Herb have thought of everything! This beautiful, spotless home has everything you will need for an amazing stay! A beautiful location with sea views, quiet and private and walking distance to beautiful Emu Bay! A short drive to Kingscote and access to the rest of beautiful Kangaroo Bay. The only mistake we made was not staying longer at Searenity!

A beautiful home that had everything we needed and more, including spectacular views from the lounge room. Hosts were lovely and met us on arrival, their knowledge of the island was invaluable. We only had 1 full day on KI and of course wanted to fit in as much as possible!! Herb was able to recommend some of the highlights on the island and our family had a fantastic time creating memories for a lifetime. From the seals (and all their babies) at Admirals Arch to Remrakable Rocks we loved every minute of it. We would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to anyone visiting KI.

"The Serenity of Searenity!"I travelled to Kangaroo Island with my husband, and two other couples early February and we all stayed at Searenity. It was wonderful!! Having stayed in holiday homes before, this one was by far my favourite. The layout of the house was perfect with living areas in the front and bed & bathrooms in the back. It provided a beautiful view of Emu Bay and is only a short walk to the Jetty and the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed (some holiday homes only provided a limited amount of cooking items and utensils but this one left us searching for nothing)! All linens and towells were also provided including towells for the beach and deck chairs. Our hosts were so friendly, greeting us upon arrival and giving us ample information on our area. Herb is a retired park ranger so he was able to give us lots of info about the wildlife. He even came and got us one evening when he discovered a koala in a tree by our house! They are located in the neighbouring house so very handy if there is anything you need during your stay (including a cup of flour, thanks Janette!) The third bedroom in this place is set up with two twin beds and a bunk bed so one couple was in twins but no complaints. The beds were all comfortable. Ideally this place would be perfect for two families of four. We were aware of the bed confirguration prior to our arrival as they have a very accurate description of the holiday home on their web-site. The holiday home is located at Emu Bay which does not have a general store of any kind nor any restaurants. This adds to the serenity of "Searenity". However, it is only a 15 min drive to Kingscote which has all you would need. I would not hesitate to recommend Searenity to others, we enjoyed our stay immensly. Thank you Herb and Janette!

Searenity is very well named. Lots of sea and peace and quiet. The facilities were absolutely top standard with our every need and comfort thought about and provided. Our hosts were warm, friendly and made sure we were settled and happy.
