We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband's 40th birthday at this house. It accommodates several guests and has a lot of comforts of home. It's about a 7 minute walk down the bike path to get to the beach. Loved it! Thank you!

The heated pool sealed the deal for this property . Our 3 yr old niece was so surprised when she arrived and could swim in December!
The house was completely clean when we arrived and the starter kit of toilet paper and towels they supplied was more than adequate for our group of 7 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen is fully equipped and i love that the homeowners LABELED every drawer and light switch so we didnt have to guess every single time.
we're already talking about making this a family tradition and hope we can rent this property again in the future!

We have kids that live in CA, VA, SC & NC and we rarely have a whole week when we are together. We had plenty of space to spread out, this kitchen is amazing and the pool was perfect for your grandchildren.

BH3 is a well-appointed home. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook delicious meals- including large seafood pots, plenty of good knives, cutting boards, and serving pieces. ❤️
The teens loved the bunk room. The sun porch was quickly made their domain and they stopped their video games long enough to assemble a puzzle and play rumikub on the game table out there.
We also liked that there was a large recycle bin outside. We were planning on taking our recycles home.
Thanks to the owners for sharing their lovely spot in Kiawah.

Very spacious and accommodating for our family. Nice deck and pool. Parking was a little irritating. Elderly may have problems using the steps to the front door.

Bufflehead 3 was the perfect house for our family vacation. Our two sons and their families and my husband and I loved the spacious house. There was plenty of room for the ten of us. The grandkids loved the pool every day and the beach was a short bike ride from the house. The house has a kitchen that is stocked with everything you can imagine which was great for the meals we decided to stay in and cook. We definitely took advantage of the second refrigerator which was a plus. The only small appliance I would suggest they add is a blender. I missed my daily smoothies!
The house has a beautiful mostly glass sunroom on the first floor with a large TV which was a good babysitter for the "early rising grandkids" to play in until the rest of the family woke up. We also found games, puzzles and books in a cabinet as well as loads of beach toys which the kids enjoyed.
We would definitely stay here again as we all had a great time!

Great house, great location, and well stocked. Only one complaint: during the two weeks we stayed there, four different smoke detectors went off during the middle of several nights. Fortunately there was a step ladder available so that we could take them down and deactivate them. Maintenance came out twice, but perhaps all the detectors should have been replaced, since one more went off after the second maintenance visit.

Vacation
The house accommodated our family beautifully. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The property manager took time out of her Sunday to take care of an issue that was no one's fault!

Perfect stay for our large family
This gorgeous and updated house was great for our big family! We had grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles and the space was perfect with each room having a separate bath. We had the pool warmed, which was such a treat for the kids each day. The stove is gas, and a little finicky, but literally that is the only criticism I have. Such a great location too, walking distance from the beach! The local Vacasa team was so responsive to all of our questions and concerns. Definitely booking through them again!

2nd Time was even better.
We had a house full! We really liked this house and location. The kitchen seems to have everything, since we stay in and everyone cooks & bakes. Had to find a bigger house for next year as our family keeps growing and this trip becomes more popular with everyone, but would pick this house again in a heartbeat if our crowd shrinks in size.

Gorgeous setting and comfortable house
We stayed in this lovely house the first week of January, and the weather was chilly but beautiful. Kiawah Island is such a beautiful place, which we explored on foot and by bike.
The house is large and comfortable - unfortunately, our extended family cancelled due to COVID concerns, so the three of us had the place to ourselves. The bedrooms and bathrooms were ample and had lots of storage for our things.
The kitchen was extremely well-stocked with dishes, cookware and utensils. Bring your own paper napkins and paper towels, as well as plastic wrap and foil. Everything else was there for us!
We recommend the excellent service and sturdy bikes from Island Cycle, and grabbed several convenient lunches at The Market. Had a good sushi dinner at Freshfields and found the Harris Teeter there convenient, but we also had lots of great meals in Charleston, North Charleston and Summerville.
We loved the house and the area and will definitely return, hopefully with family!

This is the first time we stayed at this home, and hope to be able to return. The house is spacious, well-decorated, comfortable and has an amazing array of kitchen tools, which is important to me. The two refrigerators and ice machine were an extra bonus.
There are plenty of rooms for those who want to congregate and for those who need a bit of alone time.
The deck pool was a big hit with our crew, as was the grill. And the beach is fairly close. We had a fabulous time!

Awesome Kiawah Beach Week!
This was a delightful week in a beautiful home. The beds were incredible - we all slept great. Having a crib available was a bonus as our youngest was under one year old. Lots of space
to spread out in from the sun room to to the pool deck and den (very spacious). The kitchen was incredibly stocked with every pot, pan, cooking utensils and included items to bake with. The pool was ideal for afternoons after the beach and we were all comfortable on the large deck. All 12 of us loved this house!!

3 Bufflehead
Outstanding stay. Five bedrooms with individual baths plus a half bath. Very close and convenient to beach. Private pool with outside hot and cold running water for shower after a time at the beach. Many reviewers of this location comment on the kitchen. All the many positive reviews do not come close to truly describing everything available (all clearly marked). Even after a weeks stay, we located new items every time we opened a cabinet or drawer. We had 11 people, including 3, and we prepared every meal in the house except the last night (we picked up pizza). All of our nightly meals were theme nights, and the two refrigerators proved to be essential. Plenty of room to separate or gather. We rented 8 bikes on the Island which everyone used daily. Highly recommend this location.

Family fun in Kiawah
We came as a family to this same property in Kiawah two years ago, and when deciding where to meet up again, we all wanted to go back to Kiawah and in fact, stay in this same house. The house itself is fantastic for a family, with a private small dipping pool that the kids love. The house is great to cook and chill out with a BBQ grill. Unfortunately, the house was NOT cleaned well upon arrival. We were not notified that cleaning was not completed, and I received a text confirming the check-in time was still 4 PM. However, the cleaners did not finish cleaning until 5:30 PM. What we were left with was a dirty house, which is unacceptable, but especially since we were re-assured there were extra cleaning mechanisms in place with COVID19, and this was why we ended up not canceling the stay. My mom was mopping and sweeping the floor on arrival to the property, which is not how I want my mom to start her vacation. Furthermore, the pool was cloudy and unclean. The cleaners came back and cleaned it the day after our arrival, but my father had to ask them to put in phosphorus to clarify the water, after which, it was excellent. When we discussed with management our concerns over the property condition, they initially re-funded the cleaning fee. However, my brother, who is in real estate and property management had to discuss with them our disappointment and frustration with the arrival condition. They ended up refunding some of the price of the house rental, which although appreciated and warranted, still does not alter the arrival that we had. Furthermore, in Kiawah, it seems that the year-round property owners that do not like having rental houses in the area are making it difficult for people who visit. We had bike rentals and we were told that the city ordinance mandates nothing can be seen from the street. We were sent a photo of the bikes on our rental property as someone complained, but the picture had to be taken from a zoom lense and on the property, meaning they had to trespass into the front yard in order to obtain the bike pictures. We checked every night to ensure we were in compliance, and this was just one more headache on the trip. In regards to Kiawah, however, we absolutely love this place. It is a fantastic location, easy to get to the beach, and overall a serene island that has amazing golf and biking paths. We came back because we had a great time on the first trip and we still had a great time round 2.

Communication with Vacasa Didn’t exist UNTIL we found Charlene At the KIAWAH OFFICE
The house was perfect for our family of 11-6 adults, 2 teens, kids 7,6, and 1. Plenty of room, we ALL loved the sun room and the best stocked kitchen we have ever had since we did ALL meals in with the Coronavirus. The pool was one of the best parts, the deck is shaded by mid afternoon so kids could swim and adults could relax. VACASA was very difficult company to work with UNTIL you can finally get with the local people at their KIAWAH ISLAND OFFICE. Charlene and Jyl saved the day AND OUR USE OF VRBO.

The Perfect Family Retreat
What a beautiful home! The property is clean, well-decorated and full of great amenities for large groups. Each spacious bedroom has comfy beds and a private bathroom. The pool deck provides a relaxing outdoor area to socialize. One of our favorite parts of this home was the large kitchen! With 2 refrigerators, an extra ice maker, and enough kitchen utensils to supply a restaurant—we always had the supplies we needed!
This home exceeded our expectations and we definitely hope to return for future stays.

Great kitchen!
The whole house was very nice, but the best part was the kitchen. Everything was nicely labeled, and it was fully stocked for cooking for a larger family. Bedrooms and living spaces were great as well!

Great Property
Communication throughout the process was very effective. The property was as described. To top it off we city dwellers were able to get a close up view of Johnny the alligator who visited and winked at us before slinking back into his habitat. Will definitely do this again.

Well equipped, clean and nicely decorated
Love the two refrigerators to cut down on grocery runs. Very well appointed home. Super clean. Well designed and appreciated the extra trundle beds beneath bunks. Definitely recommend bike rentals and carts to help bring gear to the beach as it’s about 10-15 min by foot. Also appreciate past guests leaving a few toys and gear which we gladly used and left for the next guests. Lovely home and would recommend all around!
