About this villa rental
This Spanish style hacienda has 6000 feet of living space on 4 acres along a gently sloping ridge. Most of the inside is on one level with two steps down to a bath and two to the fourth bedroom.
The outside follows the contour of the ridge with three steps up to the garage and eight steps down to the pools.
We are close to up-scale restaurants and shopping and regional farmer's markets, yet in a private, relaxed setting.
The interior has carved wooden doors, leather and upholstered furniture, concert semi grand piano, original fine art, 3 interior working fireplaces, one is wood-burning, two feature gas logs. Large picture windows showing off stunning views of the Catalina Mountains or the lush pool area.
The well appointed kitchen is in the center of the home, with breakfast nook, library, living and dining room surrounding. The library has a game table and chairs, gas fireplace, and 55" HD TV.
The 3 large master bedrooms each with its own king size bed and bath, are at opposite ends of the house, making them ideal for any grouping of guests. Two of the baths have a jacuzzi tub, the third has a tub/shower combination. An additional small bedroom has twin beds and a full bath with shower. One of the king beds can easily be separated into twins.
There are 2 additional HD TVs, wine cooler, gas cook top, microwave, washer/dryer, whole house drinking water filtration system. Outdoor barbecue, covered seating areas with gas fireplace, tables and chairs for your enjoyment.
The large pool area, with zero edge pool surrounded by mature palm trees is separated from the house by gates and or a door alarm. If requested, the pool can be heated for an additional charge.
Our newest addition is a glorious Hot Spring brand SPA. It accommodates five to six people with lots of jets and three motor speeds to please everyone. You are going to love it. Obviously it is covered for safety with a very easy to open cover. The price of the heated SPA is included in the rent.
There are also two cozy enclosed outdoor courtyards each with table and chairs. A large outdoor ramada with gas log fireplace is a good place to sit by the fire on cool evenings or rainy days.
All this is surrounded by expansive natural vegetation where other desert residents including javelina, coyote, bobcat, rabbits, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and quail can be seen at times.
The nightly tax of 12.05% is not applicable for reservations of 30 nights or more. Please keep that in mind when selecting your dates.
For guest number 7 and 8 there is an additional fee of $75.00 each per night.

This is the most beautiful property and house and Genii and Paul are wonderful hosts. We could not have asked for a better place to have a vacation. The house is so special - it is filled with Genii's beautiful paintings and there is something lovely wherever you look. We all had an absolutely amazing time here.

Conveniently located in the privacy of the Catalina Foothills Estates, the views from both sides of the house are breathtaking with sunrise and sunset over the distant mountains. The house is well appointed and provides every amenity you could hope for, and then some (the kitchen is way better equipped than my own). The furnishings and artwork make it warmer and more personal than most rentals. The design of the house allows for complete privacy between bedrooms. The pool is unique (including a wading pool) and spa are very well maintained. There are varied furnished outdoor spaces both in and out of the sun. We enjoyed the regular visits from the Great Horned Owl!
The host was extremely available and attentive to all our questions. Thanks so much Genii for a fabulous stay and for anticipating our needs.

Perfect stay in Tucson
We’d give 10 stars if we could. Beautiful, immaculate, fully equipped, so spacious, tucked away yet convenient to everything: hiking, shopping, golf, the famous Loop, university and downtown. This house is so beautiful inside and out—photos don’t do it justice. Inside manages to be simultaneously warm and inviting and elegant and luxurious. In the evening, we loved the cozy library/game room with its comfy chairs and big fireplace. Outside we enjoyed mountain views, multiple seating areas including a covered lounging and dining area with an outdoor fireplace, and the beautifully landscaped oasis that is the hot tub/pool area. The hosts, Genii and Paul, have thought of everything (spa robes!) and were super easy to reach and so kind and pleasant to work with. We stayed for 2 weeks and wish we could have stayed for 2 months!

Tucson Paradise
The beautiful photos almost didn't do this wonderful property justice. Genii and Paul were fabulous hosts. We even had a visit one morning from the resident bobcats! A return is definitely in the cards.
Thanks Genii

Wonderful stay
Our family has stayed at over a dozen VRBOs over the past several years. Hands down , this was the best property we have stayed at with wonderful hosts!! The pool and outdoor seating areas were as good, if not better, than 5 star resorts. The pictures on their website do not display the full extent of its beauty. Peaceful, lavish landscaping with plenty of room to relax even with large families. The home layout, which includes a large library seating room, provides for lots of privacy even with 8 people including children. Thanks Genii for your hospitality and allowing our family to reunite and re-energize during this crazy pandemic!!

You won’t be disappointed!
Just spent 2 wonderful weeks at Genii and Paul’s beautiful property. 3 couples in need of a get-a-way from the COVID madness! The property is very private and secluded, which was perfect for us. Loved the outdoor space and the beautiful landscape. Spent a lot of time enjoying the outside space.
Genii and Paul are wonderful hosts, and responded promptly to our needs.
The house is indeed very charming and displayed Genii’s beautiful artwork. There are many unique and interesting aspects to the house.
The 3 main bedrooms are very spacious and all with en-suite bathrooms. A special surprise was cozy bathrobes provided to us.
The kitchen was very well equipped and met all of our cooking needs. We especially loved the separate ice maker! It was great to have a continuous source of ice!
You definitely wont be disappointed staying at this property! Thank you so much Genii and Paul for sharing your home with us!

Perfect place to relax
Genii and Paul were perfect hosts. Welcoming and hospitable but also able to respect privacy.
I cannot say enough about the property. Genii is a professional artist. Everywhere you turn in the house there is something beautiful to look at be it the artwork, the charming house, the view, or the architecture itself. The pictures do not do the space justice.
Can’t wait to return

What a great entertainment home filled with the owner's works of art. Our host Genii & Paul were a stone's throw if we needed anything. The landscape will give you a sense "of your own private resort". Private /lush/lovely, and gorgeous mountain views. Comfy beds and pillows. 5* all the way!

Perfect Place to Enjoy Tucson and the Catalina Foothills!
We had a wonderful time at the house! The hosts were fantastically helpful and very accommodating. Unlike many rental properties, you can tell that there is a lot of pride and love dedicated to the house. We already booked our stay for next year!

We loved this place!! The property is set on a quiet cut-de-sac within the gorgeous Catalina foothills. The setting could not be more beautiful. The owner takes great pride in her garden and deservedly so. The facility is marvelous: lovely, inviting pool/hot tub area. The house has multiple patios both covered and otherwise. Rooms are bright and well appointed. We plan to go back soon.

This property IS an oasis, not an exaggeration. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. The home is extremely livable...a shaded veranda, eating areas, fully accoutred kitchen with high end appliances. In short this home is a wow. It will not disappoint. And the pool...oh my!

Beautiful,Spacious and Relaxing House with WONDERFUL Outdoor Areas
My family (8 adults and an 8-month-old) spent 2 wonderful weeks in February in this gorgeous, architecturally intriguing house located in the Catalina Foothills just north of Tucson. Can't say enough great things about this place - you must experience it for yourself! And the owners, Genii and Paul are very gracious and helpful hosts - it was such a pleasure for us to meet them and find out the history of the house. The house and grounds are gorgeous and beautifully decorated and landscaped. We had a fabulous time, even though the weather kept us indoors several of the days (it rained). The indoor part of the house is very spacious with several private areas for different activities, so we never felt crowded. The library was a wonderful place to work on a jigsaw puzzle on the days when the rain kept us indoors. And there is a lovely covered outdoor area with a gas fireplace that was a perfect place to sit and read while the rain came down. We also enjoyed this patio area in the evenings as we watched the sun set over Tucson (the views from the house are very nice - the mountains from the front; Tucson and far mountains from the back patio).
Finally, my family enjoys cooking and the kitchen is VERY well equipped for preparing meals. Of the 5+ VRBO houses we have stayed in, this kitchen was the best-equipped by far! But if cooking is not your thing, the house is not far from interesting and good restaurants (El Corral; Wild Garlic Grille; Union Public House to name a few) I could go on - the hot tub was wonderful and well-enjoyed by all of us. The pool was beautiful although we did not have it heated so only the adventurous men in my family were taking the plunge into it. And Tucson itself is beautiful with so many things to do and see - lots of hiking options in close proximity to the house; the Botanical Gardens; Saguaro National Park; the Gem Show!
If Tucson is your destination, I highly recommend this lovely house.

Exceptional
We really didn't want to leave after two weeks at this wonderful home. The views and the grounds are stunning, with magnificent mountains and striking desert landscaping to the front, and beautiful gardens around the pool patio in back. The home is private, clean, comfortable, spacious, and filled with original art and fantastic carved wooden doors. There's plenty of room to spread out, and there's a marvelous library, complete with toasty fireplace, that's perfect for a game of Clue. We all slept well in the beds. The house was well-stocked with great linens, kitchen supplies, grill accessories and patio furniture. We soaked in the spa during the lunar eclipse. The sunsets were some of the best we've ever seen, enjoyed from pool-side surrounded by saguaro and palm trees while listening to the soothing melody of the waterfall between the pools. Birds were abundant, we even saw a bobcat walking past the house, and we enjoyed the songs of the coyotes. There are several outdoor areas for relaxing -- a favorite was the comfortable ramada that offered shade on hot days as well as a good place to view morning birds. Genii and Paul were gracious, friendly, and attentive hosts, patiently showing us how everything worked, and they made themselves available throughout our stay. We can't say enough about how wonderful this home is, and we hope to return next year for a longer visit.
