The staff and location were amazing. It was an amazing location and the staff were wonderful.
The AC barely worked so the room was hot. That was the only downside.

Beautiful hotel
Air conditioning was not very cold

Staff were SO lovely: genuine, helpful and friendly.
Location amazing: view from Plaza rooms awesome
Clean, fresh, beautiful rooms
Noise between midnight and 7am was unbelievable: parties, then drunken singing, then very early-morning set up for outdoor eating meant we collectively lost about 20 hours of sleep in one night. Will never, ever stay there again. (Unless they add triple glazing?). It was Friday night/Saturday morning, so perhaps midweek is better?…

I like the extraordinary atmosphere of the square, but the fascinating transformation under the night is the most attractive, I really feel this atmosphere here, and it will be my best choice next time I come back. grateful
The hotel is perfect, the place I want to improve is to come again next time

This hotel is a gem. Great location in the centre of town. Very easy access by car and parking is just a short walk away. The room overlooking the Plaza Mayor was exactly what we had expected. Very well laid out and beautifully but simply decorated.
The staff were all very helpful and always available.
Nothing at all. Would definitely chose this hotel if we were returning to Salamanca.

The room was beaufifully appointed. The best view in the city! Careful design of windows, shutters and blinds resulted in no noise diturbance from the stunning square.
Nothing- I want to be back there now!

The view of the Plaza was perfect. The room was very spacious and the furnishings were very comfortable and tasteful. The room was spotless. The free mini bar (non alcoholic) was a nice touch. The description and photos online of the location right on the square was what sold me. Please read the following section "what you didn't like".
The tiny reception area was a new experience as was having to ask to have your room cleaned. There was no lounge area or anywhere else to go and just sit or lounge or read a book besides your room. We had a plaza view room and were there over a weekend. It was noisy all night long with partying in the plaza even with windows and shutters all closed. The bathroom is totally made of glass with very little privacy. They do not offer a breakfast included option. They do not offer a 24/7 front desk service which made it impossible to pay for our early check out.
We left an email and a note saying we would pay as soon as possible online. We were travelling by bus which offered unstable wifi so we wanted to wait for a secure service to send payment information that same day. The hotel kept sending us emails saying to pay right away. The last email said I beg you to pay before 2:00 pm or else our policy is to call the police. Honestly I felt as if they were accusing me of "doing a runner" and not paying after I had left them all my contact information.
To sum it up this hotel offers a great central location right on the Plaza Mayor. If you want a Plaza view be prepared for noise. If you prefer more amenities and better value for your money such as lounge areas, bathroom privacy, breakfast options, 24/7 front desk service, room cleaning service without having to ask for it...this is not the hotel for you.

We were unfortunate enough to stay during the festival, something it would have been nice to have had advance notice on along with car parking missive etc. Also, nice if on check in we would have been warned that it would be an all-night party and perhaps offered at least ear plugs. We had a room overlooking the rear plaza which is directly above a bar (and on this occasion 3 pop up bars) that stayed open with drunken hoards until 0630hrs to be replaced by the bin lorries emptying the discarded bottles etc. We had a second night booked bit just left and drove to the next town for some peace and quiet. Upon our return home we asked if the management would contribute to the additional cost (Euro 80) as Euro 300 for no sleep seemed a little unfair. They did not even reply to my request until we got booking.com involved. Still nothing as not policy, charming.
I would not recommend staying here regardless of festival, as there are bars under the 2nd floor bedrooms both front and back. The rooms have been refurbished well but you are trapped in them with no lounge or restaurant explore. The room is dark and a bit claustrophobic. Our recommendation is to stay outside of the Plaza, period as there is plenty of options.
I rarely leave such a poor review, but this was an expensive poor choice on our behalf, clearly.

The view of the plaza mayor was stunning. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. A particularly nice gesture was a note thanking us for our stay with a small bottle of champagne!
I have no criticisms.

Hotel receptionist Blanca extended a warm welcome to us and provided us with good information. Property was clean, rooms are large.
We booked 2 rooms facing the square and the market. We barely slept as the music, noise from the bars and cars honking in the street continued till around 6am, followed by noise from the trucks and street cleaners who came in to wash down the roads.

Wonderful helpful staff. Complimentary champagne was a lovely touch.

There is nothing more central than the location of this hotel. I strongly recommend getting a room with a view of the Plaza Mayor and a balcony if you can. It isn't exactly quiet, but in all the best ways you will feel like you are in the center of the city. (Note that not all rooms are on the Plaza Mayor side of the hotel, so choose wisely.)
Honestly, I cannot think of any complaints. This was a really unique property (at least the rooms facing the Plaza Mayor). I suppose that if you hate noise or must go to bed early, this is not necessarily the place for you.

The location is super prime. Nice view. And the staff was thoughtful enough to celebrate my husband’s birthday with a cava and a nice letter.

very nice hotel. we received an upgrade to a larger room with a beautiful bathroom.
Not the hotel's fault, but at 8am there were megaphones blasting in the plaza nonstop - some type of event or marathon and it was so unbelievably loud and non-stop for hours on end. By 10:30 am we couldnt take it anymore and had to leave. We were expecting some noise in the evening due to the activity in the plaza, which was fine, but the noise that started at 8am and didnt stop was unbearable.
