Parking entrance problems

Overall is very good, the facilities & owner is very nice and helpful.

1. The main door is too hard to open 2. this is not about the homestay, it is about the parking. The parking entrance is too narrow im sure everyone who lives there knows what I'm talking about. And yes the result is bump the wall while rounding to the parking lot. Thanks to the owner who helped me find the car workshop on Sunday if not, I'm gonna stay for another day at Ipoh.

Comfortable stay with a few short comings

The location of Octagon is excellent and makes most sites to visit easy to reach on foot or by Grab taxis. The privacy is appreciated and there are a large number of dining facilities available in the immediate surroundings. The apartment was overall well equipped and we found most technical installations to be in working order. The communication with the contact person was excellent and all instructions received are complete and well organized.

This apartment, while spacious and ample, really is in need of some TLC and personal attention. The main entrance door was dirty and has not been cleaned in a while. Fixtures in both bathrooms were coming of the wall, corroded or broken. Curtains in the bedroom were drooping because of missing hooks and while painted over, the humidity stains in the walls are very apparent. The sliding door to the main bedroom was also dirty and showing signs of wear and tear. For a more welcoming impression, some new and clean keyholders are also suggested.

Great location, but room needs some maintenance.

The location is great, within walking distance from many good restaurants and shops. The room itself is nicely designed and spacious.

There is a problem with damp in the walls and the paint was flaking off onto the one mattress. We had an issue with the WiFi, which we mentioned to the staff, he tried to restart but throughout our stay we didn't have WiFi, even after constant notification.

decent place for friends/group vacation.

location is practically near to everything you might need. The space is spacious, wifi is in good condition, easy access to the pool & gym, the tv works properly, air-cond is in good condition, check-in instruction is clear.

only 1 parking available. for other visitor might use the t&g parking charge RM6/day. I entered at 3.41pm and exit at 12pm the next day. I was charged RM12 . I'm not really happy with the fare. Other than that, the access door to parking is quite confusing. One of the bathrooms is clogged pretty badly. the water pressure & water heater need improvement.

Good value flat in a good location

Location was good for restaurants. Easy to walk to the old town. Spacious flat with a good sized lounge/ communal area. Beds were comfy.

The bathrooms could have been improved. The drains smelled of damp and the larger en-suite smelled of cigarette smoke at night which was strange.

Good Location And Spacious Apartment

Location near eateries. Apartment is very spacious.

All the remote controls in the apartment cannot be used, we bought batteries to replace some of them. There isn't any space or shelf in the showering area for us to put our own toiletries. No bottled drinking water was provided.

Everything is perfect except the mold.

The stay meet my expectation.

The property is located in the middle of Ipoh city, also very close to food outlet frequent by tourist.

Property management should check the functionality of facility. The wash basin in the bathroom almost clog.. water flow very slowly.

Squeaky clean property

Great location, walking distance to convenient store and eateries. Squeaky clean property you definitely get what you see in the photos. Love everything, clean floor, comfy bed

We love everything, just one improvement needed, it would be better to chg to a anti theft security door to make guests feel more secure at night.

Very good

Very good location. Walking distance to well known places and F&B shops. Clean and big living room and dining area.

Don’t expect complete toiletries provided like hotel as there is no toothbrush or shower cap. Floor mat a little old, small and hopefully clean. If using outside sofa bed to sleep, best bring a bedsheet along to place over it before using as the sofa bed and other sofa is made of fabric where the covers may not be washed frequently.

Passable

The location was amazing, so central and the host was very responsive. There was a leak in one of the bathrooms and he very quickly responded to let us know how to stop it. We also had trouble opening the door on the first attempt but he came within 3 minutes and opened the door for us. He is a very good host.

There appears to be a damp problem in the apartment that has caused mould on one of the bedroom doors, paint to flake from the walls and a persistent damp smell. If these issues were addressed, it would be a perfect.
