Harmonica is a unique modern mountain chic style large 40sqm studio apartment. We have designed Harmonica with comfort and relaxation with a modern mountain feel in mind. As you unwind in this luxury space only a stone's throw from a magical lookout with spectacular sunset views you will discover a new little slice of heaven.

Situated on the spectacular scenic escarpment of Cliff Drive. Less than 100 metres to the stunning Cahill's Lookout and its views overlooking the Megalong Valley and Narrow Neck. Surrounded by numerous bush walking tracks, an abundance of fresh mountain air and tranquillity. Only 8 minutes drive from Katoomba railway station and numerous attractions of the world famous Blue Mountains. Leura, Wentworth Falls, Medlow Bath and Blackheath are all within a short drive. Enjoy all that this UNESCO listed area has to offer including boutique shopping, gourmet dining, beautiful gardens, artisan markets, heritage listed buildings and calendar of events.

Perfect for a romantic couples retreat.

Timber luxury queen sized bed with an assortment of duck down and European sized pillows overlooking the front garden. Fully equipped brand new kitchen with concrete bench tops, feature copper splash back, popular quality branded appliances and induction cooktop. Ideal for simple meals or complex gourmet feasts. LG Smart TV with Netflix and all on-demand TV channels. An assortment of books, magazines & board games to entertain on those rainy days or lazy days. Complimentary WIFI. Reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you warm and toasty during winter or cool in Summer. Outdoor table setting to bask in the westerly sun overlooking the front garden and escarpment.

There is no smoking in the apartment or anywhere in the garden. We live upstairs and don't want the smell of smoke in and around the house. If you are a smoker you may want to consider staying somewhere else.

You have access the apartment from your own off street parking space through the back garden. You are free to enjoy the front garden which leads over to the lookout. The only restricted area is though the black gate next to the apartment front door (about a 5th of the garden)s where our dogs can go outside.

We live upstairs, however, Harmonica has private entry, its your space and you will have privacy, but we are around if you want advice on what to do or were to go.

A car is a must to get to the apartment and around. We are located on the edge of the escarpment 4kms from Katoomba. There is a local bus from 700metre away.

To do have dogs, but there are separated from your access by a fence. They are very rarely left on their own at the house, come to work with us during the day and out walking. If you do meet them they are super friendly, well socialised fox terriers.
We live upstairs, we have sound insulation between the floors which works very well. The apartment is under our bedrooms, so you may hear us moving around in the evening and mornings.

We spent a week at Harmonica in Winter and the place was comfortable and warm. The provisions were incredible with many food staples already provided and Netflix for entertainment. The shower was hot and the towels were soft. Location was perfect - within walking distance of Cahill's Lookout and far enough from the town to be quiet. The only negative for the week was that wooden floors transmitted every bump from upstairs and we were startled a number of times when something was dropped, however this did not detract from a relaxing holiday. Thanks Michael.

Property was a short walk to a beautiful perch in Blue Mountains to watch sunsets. Host was helpful and quick to respond. Place was clean and it had everything we needed. Would recommend staying here. Short drive to sights, trails and restaurants.

The aim for our stay was to go bush walking and this was a great place in the center of some fantastic walks! Place was very clean and cosy to be in with some nice added board games and fast wifi for warm nights in. Loved the stay.

The place was real pleasant and so close to everywhere we needed to be. Michael was a great host and was always so quick to respond. We actually had a family tragedy just a couple of days before our stay, which meant a bit of rescheduling, and Michael was very understanding and quick to accommodate for our needs. The apartment is located just out of town in a quiet area close to several lookouts with magnifcent views and walks such as the Narrow Neck Trail. The apartment was very comfortable, sufficiently spacious for the two of us, and all we needed in the kitchen to self-cater for our 7-night stay. Having the owners living upstairs took a couple of days to get used to, but they were very helpful, friendly and took only minutes to respond to and requests.

Loved the location across from Cahill's Lookout and a couple of k's out of town which is easily walkable. The unit was well equipped, has lovely furnishings and the reverse cycle aircon made it extra comfy. I didn't realise there was another unit next door so there was a bit less privacy than expected and a bit more noise but more so from the dogs upstairs. Not sure where the spa was but wasn't there long enough to bother asking.

Harmonica is a beautifully presented property. Staying on my own for a week, it offered peace and quiet with majestic views right across the road at Cahills Lookout. The studio itself is tastefully decorated and came equipped with everything I needed for my stay. Including herbs and spices and sauces. The bed is very comfortable and the linens and pillows luxurious. I highly recommend Harmonica to fellow travellers. I look forward to staying again. With thanks Julia

We stayed in 'Harmonica' studio apartment for 4 nights. The apartment is lovely. The bed was very comfortable! The kitchen is more than adequate. The bathroom has a nice big (older style) shower, which I loved. The combination key code access on the door was easy to use. The location (a short walk to Cahill's Lookout over the Megalong Valley) is fabulous. Overall, we rate the apartment/location high, but there are a couple of minor inconveniences. Sofa - it's difficult to get comfortable for an evening of Netflix movies! It needs to be replaced with a comfy sofa + 2 small ottomans. Pathway leading from carpark - hopefully, it is going to be fully paved in the future to enable easy access with wheelie luggage cases. One more thing - combination key code access to the sliding door leading out to Cliff Drive would be really handy! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the apartment to our friends. Thanks Michael and Holly!
