We had a nice stay at this cabin. There was good communication with the owners, the home was comfortable, and the view/river access was amazing! Very close to fun shops and restaurants. We will definitely return!

Loved the stay. You guys were professional and considerate. We will be back.

We loved our stay… cozy cabin with everything we needed. We are A Frame enthusiasts! We brought our own water for cooking and coffee just as a preference for purified water. We hope to come back during the fall when all the colored leaves will be at their peak. Loved the quaint village of Stockholm.

We enjoyed our stay in Stockholm at the cottage! It was so peaceful and cozy with amazing views of Lake Pepin. It had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend getaway. We look forward to next time!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this well appointed A-Frame. Surroundings are picturesque and wonderfully quiet. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals at home - while music was playing on the speakers and the fireplace going… We loved playing the board games available and had a lovely bonfire on the beach. We all slept really well! To update some prior reviews - there is a bathroom mirror and we found the water to be fine for drinking.

We enjoyed our stay at this lakeside cottage with great views.

The cottage is in a fantastic location, quiet and serene, right on the beachs of Lake Pepin. It is a beach house where you can relax and enjoy yourself. The pictures do not give justice to how amazing the views are inside and out. The kitchen had everything and more to cook meals, the entire place was well outfitted. We also took the time to explore the surrounding communities, great food, and treasure hunting all around. I cannot think of one negative thing about the stay overall.

This place is sweet! Love it! Love it! Love it!
A great time with my sister and brother. Wish we stayed longer. We spent 95% of our time on the beautiful deck looking at the Beautiful Lake Pepin.

I got to enjoy this delightful cabin with my family. We fit comfortably in the cabin and had a beautiful area outside for the kids to play. I loved watching the birds in the morning. It was a relaxing stay.

My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend on the Mississippi river in this delightful A-Frame home right on the water. The property has a big deck overlooking the river where we could sit and watch the boats and barges go by and listen to the birds. The property is a short drive to Stockholm town center and Pepin. While it was too cold to go swimming, we did wade into the water and spent time on the sandy beach.
The property owner was friendly and obliging and we had no trouble accessing the house.

Another great stay and year at Stockholm. Always the perfect location for a vacation that’s equal parts busy and relaxing. Love the family friendly and pet friendly location. We will be back!

This cabin had everything we needed for a long weekend away! The location is great, the views (particularly the sunsets) were beautiful and the hospitality was exceptional. Highly recommend a stay!

We loved our stay at this cabin in Stockholm! Fall is a beautiful time to enjoy this area! The cabin was clean and cozy with lovely views of the lake. There is minimal closet or storage space and no mirrors for us ladies but that didn’t distract much from our weekend! We adapted!

We spent 2 nights at this cozy, comfortable cabin. The views out the huge front windows of the lake were fantastic. A beautiful deck front and back. We were in the off season so it was quiet in the towns. Perfect for fall hiking and viewing the colors. Stockholm Pie had some of the best pies I’ve ever eaten. Restaurants are mainly in Pepin- Homemade Cafe for breakfast, Captain’s Legacy and Pickle Factory for good comfort food. We enjoyed the cozy electric fireplace and sound system while the wind howled outside. Hope to return sometime when the weather is nicer to enjoy sitting outside on the deck and watching the eagles and other wildlife.

Wow. What a fantastic and peaceful getaway. Right on a beautiful beach on Lake Pepin. My wife and I (and our golden retriever) loved the getaway. We worked remotely on our trip during the day and relaxed on the beach and the deck at night. The WIFI was plenty strong to enable both of us to work off the deck--and the view was incredible. The place was clean and roomy and well-equipped. Sunsets off the deck were perfect. A short walk to "town" was a great way to start or end the day. Terry was a warm and welcoming host. The neighbors (and their dogs) were quite friendly. Totally recommend staying here!

A bit tricky to get to when u arrive in town (can’t go by GPS, but Terry the owner will walk you through) but wow! Such a nice hidden gem of a spot! Very private (and even more so being there off season) This was our very first time staying in the area and it was scenic and beautiful. It was nice not having he crowd, however lots of things were either closed for season or only opened on weekends/limited hours so that was a bit of a disappointment. The 2 nights we were there we couldn’t find many restaurants open for lunch or dinner. One night we just ended up picking up cheese and sweet corn to make grilled cheese sandwiches at the cabin lol (the corn was the best I’ve had all season!)
You may to need to bring your own drinking water and/or ice (they do have trays to make ice if need be too) because the tap water is not drinkable (stinky well water), your own soap, and shampoo/conditioner, but other than that everything was great…lots of condiments, etc for use. The private walk out to beach is awesome…. could view sunset directly out large back windows/deck. My favorite part was all the birds I was able to watch/take pictures of right out the back door. Nuthatches, Woodpeckers, Hummingbirds, and a Baltimore Oriole passing thru (thanks to the neighbors feeders 😊) not to mention the Seagulls, Geese, Ducks, Herons, and Pelicans in/by the lake. There is also a nature preserve as you drive in on the property that we saw a bunch of Eagles and other birds. Would definitely come back!

The house is great, fittingly decorated and stocked. Perfect for a small family. The deck and outside area are very nice and the views of the lake from inside the cottage are great too!
It was so nice to be able to bring our dog, he enjoyed himself as well.
The only downfall was we were hoping the beach would be less rocky and more swimmable for our younger kids. We were very happy we had water sandals per reviews, was almost impossible to walk without. Also were disappointed that others on the beach/living in the area didn’t pick up their dog’s messes, we had to scan the beach before running down to the water or playing in the sand! But none of that is something that Terry can control, he has an amazing place on a beautiful lake!
Both Stockholm and Pepin are great to explore, great people and food, fun shops, wonderful area!

We absolutely loved our stay in Stockholm! The town is adorable! But this wonderful cabin! Wow is all I have to say. Off the beaten path, but not far from town. Huge windows to watch the storm roll in. Solid and updated cabin that we could tell have been well maintained and cared for. Friendly neighbors, clean inside and out, plenty of seating and it amazed us how every inch was thoughtfully utilized in this tall A frame! Will certainly be coming back!! Thank you so much!!

Had a great time. Cabin was perfect. Lot of may flies the time we went but that's not the owner's fault. Brought my own boat and a dock would have been nice to tie up to but we managed through it using anchors.

A little slice of heaven
We loved it here. The house was perfect, walks out to a beach. It is so quiet and like staying on a nature reserve. It was amazing to see bald eagles fly over head and our last morning, watching one eat a fish on the beach. It was hard to leave and go back to the city.

We adored this place! The owner was very easy to communicate with and the property was as advertised. The beach was great for the kids and I was glad I read reviews to bring water shoes, they were a must for all. Overall, we can't wait to visit again.
