The location was perfect, the ambiance was nice, and everything looked great!
No wifi in our room (you had to sit outside, 10m further to get reception). No amenities, not even cups. Upon asking the staff for some paper cups, the answer was: no, this is a hotel, not an apartment. Flakey shower. (All things that can easily fixed by investing a little.)

I liked location of the hotel.
It was a terrible experience. In our room there have been running bugs (corcroaches). It was disgusting. For two days time there was only cold water. I was travelling with a baby and I couldn't wash him. I checked out earlier and moved to another hotel, but I did not get a refund.
It was cold at night and I asked for a warmer blanket. I wasn't given any. I had to sleep in my clothes.
By the way: when a receptionist was pouring me a water which was left to disposal of guests he accidentally poured it over a floor. He stopped me and asked me if I have anything to wipe it. I am not a priness, but it felt awkward when a receptionist asks a guest for material for cleaning.

Location close to beach. Food was good
Most people goes by car, hotel has very limited parking space. I may have to find out who is blocking you. There is an empty lot nearby, should be use as parking.

Nothing
False advertisement. Not what is on pictures.

Really nice hotel with great access to the beach and great amenities. The rooms are individual pads that feel like apartments. You have a lot of privacy and the garden is beautiful. A great authentic experience
There was rainy days and there were leaks in the room. It had two tiny cushions as pillows. The bat at my the front door as a little overprice compare with the rest of the area. They take only cash to pay for the room

No, this was the dirty place I haven’t been, need cleaning, i need maintaining, the room is like failing, the staff was nice.

PROS: location. Unbeatable waterfront property, the portion of beach just in front of the hotel is the best of the big beach of las Terrenas. Blu water, some corals, large beach, yellow sand, palm trees. Again, unbeatable, breathtaking. Mind you, you have to cross a very busy street to get to the beach and that is not easy to understand by the pictures or videos. Again for the location: tons of restaurants on the beach with great food (highly recommend URACAN right next door), the cafeteria downstairs is a nice place to have a decent breakfast. The pool is clean and decent sized, a lot of chairs and beds around it, it has a bar but being that we stayed during weekdays it was dead. The outside is well maintained and it has a feeling of a little resort. Every room has a little balcony with a table and two chairs and a rack to hang wet clothes. The rooms are big as they have two floors, spacious and with the right spaces to fit your belongings. Tv and AC are present and working.
A little background to understand where this review is coming from : We are a family of 3 backpacking throughout the country. I am very familiar with the country, and speak fluent Dominican, this to say we are not upscale clients expecting upscale services.
This place left a bittersweet taste in our mouths. We were aware of the hotel/hostel name so didn't expect much, but the videos on their website are very deceiving so the reality hit harder.
CONS: rooms are very worn out and need love. Upstairs- The wooden floor is scratched badly, the little window doesn't have glass therefore there is a huge thermic leak and being under the roof (if you are a tall person you will find it uncomfortable) it gets really hot.
Downstairs - a general fresh up is needed as paint has been layered over and over and now it looks sad. BATHROOMS ! THEY ARE NOT WHAT YOU SEE IN PICTURES! It is what you find in very cheap Dominican hotels: looks dirty when it really isn't because the paint is scratched, the tiniest shower mat I have seen in my life, definitely a big turn off. It wouldn't take much to give it new life and makes it look appealing.
The beds have foam mattresses which are fine if you lay on your back but once you turn on your belly you sink in badly and sleeping is not comfortable. The busy road outside can get very loud with the motorbikes as there is no insulation (bathroom and upstairs room have no glass on windows). And finally the WI-FI works only close to the reception not in the rooms.
To top up this experience which wasn't bad but neither good the receptionist informs us immediately that the verifone is currently down and we have to pay cash. Now I was aware of this because every review states that paying with a credit card is impossible but they just lie straight to your face saying that it is a temporary issue when it is clear that they don't want to charge CC's.

They do not provie towels for the beach, wifi does not work, cable TV also did not work. Do not forget mosquitoes repellenet cause you need it in the room.

I love the place, very well located and nice bar and restaurant. I would like to stay longer next time. The key of the places is the location, just in front of the beach.
The staff is not the best one, special at the front desk. They need to improve the cleanliness of the place, pay more attention on details.

Location, value, the outside bars and restaurants
Rooms need a little care, the bed is really hard and uncomfortable

The garden has different flowers and trees, like botanical garden, really beautiful! Everyone will have their own little house. The inside of the house needs renovation. In front of the building there is also restaurant where you can eat and drink. It’s 10 min walk from the city!
The pool was dirty !

The bar, great drinks! pool area and exterior is very cute cozy. Lots of hot water!!
The interior is run down and dated!! Beds and pillows not comfortable but for 2 nights it was ok we had a blast regardless
