The house was very well equipped and very clean. The location was awesome as there is so much to do right in that area. We loved it!

We LOVED our stay at Deer Crossing. Janice is a fabulous host and made our stay so easy. The cabin was even more spacious than I expected and is very well stocked (with several items we didn’t even think about!). The kids loved the bunk bed and were so excited by the s’mores welcome basket she left for us. The cabin was a quiet & comfortable retreat after a long day of adventures. By the end of our stay, the cabin really felt like home. We highly recommend Janice & Deer Crossing.

This was my first time using Vrbo and using an Airbnb. We had an amazing experience. Great location for all the attractions. Quiet and beautiful place to stay. Will definitely use again. And will recommend to anyway wanting to stay in the area. Thanks for the great experience.

This is the perfect little get-away cabin. Easy access to the main roads to go north, south, east,or west to venture around the Springs area.Very quiet, nicely furnished, comfortable to stay in. Everything you need plus more to enjoy your stay. If we go back to this area i will see if it is available to rent again.

We enjoyed the cabin as a quiet place to unwind after busy days at a family reunion and to keep up with working remotely.
The property is clean, welcoming, fully stocked, and the views of the mountainside are lovely.
Thank you for a great stay.

We loved Deer Crossing. The host thought of everything and was very helpful and responsive. The location is secluded but close to all the things to do in the area! Highly recommend.

This was a great place for our family to stay. We loved the games and dvds. Very clean and cozy. There was even a robin’s nest with babies right outside the window. Phone service was definitely an issue. It took us quite a while to get into the rental because I had the key box code in my phone and couldn’t pull it up. I would recommend writing down the code or taking a screenshot before you get to the property!

We loved the cozy little home. Janice was so kind and answered all of questions. We loved the movies and board games for the rainy days and evenings. The kids loved the bunk beds and the queen bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean and well stocked. The air conditioner was out of commission while we were there but it was cool in the evenings so we were able to enjoy the cool mountain air. It was a great location so close to many things we wanted to do. Would definitely recommend to our family and friends!

This cabin was perfect for our Christmas Family vacation! It was a beautiful, clean and cozy cabin that was stocked with everything we needed plus some. The location was in a perfect location for all of the Christmas things we went to. Janice was always available if we needed anything or had any questions, such a wonderful and sweet host. We will definitely be back!

We selected Deer Crossing due to the location and appropriate size for our party of 3. The pictures accurately show the accommodation. The living room and dining room were good size. The bedrooms are a bit tight - true to a prior reviewer, the bunk room is just big enough for the bunk bed and the door won't fully open due to the full sized bed for the lower bunk. That said, our 16-year old son loved it. His own space and he likes to sleep in the complete dark (he pulled out the nightlight). Just note that the beautiful log bed in the main bedroom has a support in the middle of each side that we managed to stub into several times (you'd think we would learn . . .). Also note that there is a decent sized shower, but no tub if that matters for your family.
I was a bit concerned about how close to Hwy24 it is from a noise perspective, but as other reviewers noted, it is quiet and secluded. I was pleasantly surprised.
We were greeted by a herd of mule deer the first evening passing through the neighboring field. And the views out the living room and dining room windows were really nice - looking toward the mountains behind Green Mountain Falls and Cascade.
We were fans of the game cabinet. The three of us played games two nights running.
Overall, it was a nice get-away spot. Tucked away but close to where we needed to be in Green Mountain Falls and Manitou Springs and the host was very responsive to any questions.

Cute, cozy guest house on the adjacent to the owners house. We enjoyed our stay. Postives were lots of windows with pretty views and felt private. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, and a cabinet with books, games, and movies. Negatives were the owners dog that barked nearly everytime we went outside, really dusty fans and yuck under the beds and pull out couch. Not alot of room to unpack so either live out of a suitcase or don't bring much.
Overall, this is a good place for 2 adults or small family. Second bedroom is super tiny but my little people loved it. Owner is responsive and gives you space, privacy, and a cozy place to crash after exploring neighboring mountains.

We loved everything about this property! From the cleanliness of the property, amenities, location, outstanding communication with the owner, it was nothing short of perfect. The house has everything you need to prepare family dinners with a large refrigerator. The living room is comfortable and spacious with plenty of television stations for entertainment. The bathroom is fully stocked with a lot of towels and has a large walk-in shower. Beds are super comfortable. The owners left us a very thoughtful welcome gift, and were quick to answer any questions we had. There is a Walmart and Grocery Store very close by, and you are within quick driving distance of Pikes Peak,Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs! My favorite part was waking up to the view of the mountains and horses outside our window. We highly recommend staying at this property.

This is a lovely spot, up the mountain from Colorado Springs. Big windows to see the mountains, pine trees, and horses next-door.
The living room is exceptionally comfortable.
It had everything we needed, including a large refrigerator, mini games, and DVDs. We didn’t have time to watch any of the DVDs, because there were so many other activities to do in the area.
Very convenient to pike national forest and cripple Creek. Nearby Green Mountain Falls has a great place for breakfast, the pantry.

It was a very comfortable and quiet house. It had lots of items to use for baking and essentials. My children enjoyed it and it was right in the middle of attractions that we could come back and make meals. The owners were always ready to help if you needed. Loved it

We had a great vacation exploring the area. The house is 1 1/2 hours from the royal gorge and white water rafting and 20-30 minutes from everything in Colorado Springs and just 15 minutes from Manitou Springs. The host is right there and answers questions right away and also offers suggestions that were great and leaves little touches in the house that welcome you. The house is stocked with things you might forget and It is clean and cozy. My tall teenage boys were almost too big for the bunk bed in the small second bedroom but the couch worked. All in all a great place to stay and we would stay again if ever in the area.

My family and I loved this cabin! It was exactly like the photos you see. It's located right off the Hwy 24, but was still secluded enough to feel like you're in the mountains. The owner left us a s'mores basket which my boys loved making at the firepit! The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. If you are looking for a place that's secluded but not far from shops and restaurants, THIS IS IT!!!

We traveled in from MN which was a very long drive, especially with two kids. The house was fairly easy to find, right off of a main road, yet tucked away enough to feel secluded. Easy to jump back on the road and find a Walmart close by to pick up groceries. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to make homemade meals, which we did several times to help decrease the stress on our bank account. The beds were comfortable and inviting. Our kids loved the bunk beds! The bathroom was clean and provided lots of soft towels. The shower was fantastic, with even water pressure and lots of hot water. All 4 of us could enjoy a warm shower without delay after a long day of adventure. We loved the addition of a propane fire table down by the sandbox. The s'mores that the host provided were fun to eat while enjoying the stars.
Janice was a fantastic host, answering our questions with full responses that provided lots of information!! We definitely want to thank you for suggesting where to see fireworks on the 4th of July! It was perfect and exactly what we were looking for, as we don't like big city crowds and events. We will definitely be recommending Deer Crossing to our family and friends!! Wishing you many well wishes!

Great cozy property close to all the attractions in the area! The host seriously has thought of anything we might need to make our stay most enjoyable! Great communication, super sweet and very considerate! The kids absolutely loved playing in the sand box, swinging on the rope swing and playing board games each evening! And the s’more gift basket topped it all off! Absolutely loved!

Deer Crossing had everything needed and more for a great stay near Colorado Springs. The kitchen was better stocked than anyplace we've stayed. The owner is friendly and attentive to communication....the welcome basket of fruit and cheese was so sweet!! We had plenty of room for 3 adults. Easy access, usually about 15 minutes, to Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Re

Absolutely loved this location. Gave us a comfortable place to relax between activities and the stocked kitchen allowed us to save a ton of money by allowing us to prepare all our meals. Biggest downside was the size of the spare bedroom. The bed does not allow the door to open all the way and my daughter felt as if she was staying in a closet. Aside from that, would definitely recommend.

We had a fabulous stay. All the must see attractions in the Colorado Springs area is within a 15 minute drive. House was very welcoming and has everything you need from spices to coffee to make your stay perfect. We will be back.

This property was perfect for our family of 3. The location could not have been better. You are just outside of Manitou Springs and Woodland Park. The views of the mountains were amazing. The house has everything you need including lots of board games to keep the kids off of the internet and enjoying family time. I would highly recommend this location and plan to visit again.

We really enjoyed our time at this place. The place is very well stocked and very kid friendly. Our family did not have any problems and the owner was quick to answer any questions. The only thing to keep in mind is it a smaller space, but nice and cozy. We did not feel we lacked anything. Thank you for allowing g our family to relax and get away for a few days.

We had so much fun experiencing everything the Colo. Springs, Cascade, Green Mt. Falls area had to offer. The Broadmoor was incredible and the closer restaurants were fabulous. Garden of the Gods earned its name. Memorable experiences.

This was a cute little place to spend a couple days near North Pole Colorado Santa’s Workshop and Garden of the Gods. I imagine it's even better in cooler weather than the beginning of September, since the one bedroom that had space for three to sleep also didn't have a window and we couldn't get it to cool down. Fortunately we were able to sleep in the living room instead, and it was nice and cool once the night air came in through open windows. The mattress for the pull-out couch wasn't great quality, though. My daughters were charmed by the Christmas decorations, since one of the main reasons we were staying in this spot was to go to North Pole Colorado Santa’s Workshop. If we were staying here for long, it would have felt a bit cramped for a family of six, as the kitchen is small, and the table only fits four, but for two nights we had a good time here. My youngest two enjoyed watching a couple of the DVDs that were available when we were settling in for the night each night. And they enjoyed seeing the nearby horses.

Amazing property that was just right for my little family (2 adults and 2 kids). There was room for probably another 2-3 ppl to be comfortable. We cooked meals almost everyday and had no issues cooking or cleaning (the dishwasher was a huge plus). Our 6 year old loved having a sand box and ride on toys to play with when we got back in the late afternoon. The patio area outside provided adequate relaxation in the mountain air. The furnishings inside (along with kitchenwares) definitely helped to make the cabin feel like a cozy home.

This was a well stocked apartment over a garage. The hostess was the beat. She was quick to answer any questions about the area. Very helpful. The location was perfect for us. It was near all the places we wanted to visit.
