About this apartment rental
4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath newly renovated condominium in a 1860’s cedar sided Victorian house, one block from the beach! There is no better place to unwind and find some Serenity by the Sea — no matter what the time of year. First floor consists of a powder room and a large common area with fully-equipped kitchen featuring quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, a dining room that seats 8, and a comfy and spacious living room complete with an electric fireplace and TV. Second floor bedrooms include a master bedroom with solid wood built in furniture, a king bed, TV, and a gas fire place . The master bedroom also enjoys a private balcony that is perfect for your morning coffee, and a private bath with both a tub and walk-in shower. Also on the second floor, you will find two more well-appointed bedrooms that share a hall bathroom, one with a queen bed and one with two twins. Additional sleeping for 2 is on a twin daybed and trundle in the third floor bedroom that also doubles as another TV sitting area and private get away. The third floor bedroom, which has skylights and views through windows facing three directions, is accessed through the master bedroom. Private front porch area provides cool ocean breezes and a place to unwind at the end of the day. Central A/C. Outdoor shower. 2 private off-street parking spaces make parking a breeze, even at the busiest times of year. Perfectly situated in Cape May — 1 block from the beach and historic Cape May mansions, 1 block from restaurants, 2 blocks from arcade, and 6 blocks from the famous Washington Street Mall.
Rentals are limited to Saturday-Saturday 7 night rentals from Memorial Day through Labor Day. 3 night minimum during the remainder of the year.
Sheets and towels are your responsibility; blankets, pillows, and bedspreads are provided. Sheets and towels can be rented from Linen Ladies or you may bring your own.
No smoking and no pets, sorry.
Finally, summer rental reservations (Memorial Day through Labor Day) are accepted only after September 1 of the previous year (e.g., you can reserve Summer 2022 dates after September 1, 2021). This is to provide preference to return renters, some of whom wish to return during the same weeks each year. If you are a summer renter and wish to reserve the same week for the following year, please message to let us know prior to September 1.

Great place for a family to stay in a very clean and updated place with lots of convenient amenities to be comfortable. Kitchen and living room are great for the family to hang out. Love the outdoor shower, outdoor storage for provided beach equipment, good WiFi and AC. Great communication with owner.we stayed with small kids and it was good for them. Only drawback is the fourth bedroom you must access through the master. Best part is how close it is to the beach!

This was our second trip to Cape May, but our first staying at this property. It was perfect. The location is ideal.One short block to the beach made it an easy walk for short or long visits to the ocean. Plenty of space, and a nice sized kitchen. Also a locked outside storage bin where we could leave our chairs/etc (and where the owner provided a cart and some other materials)>
We were very comfortable, and it was family friendly. Perfect for us (2 families, each with one kid). Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice property. Owner supplied many extras like hand soap, dish soap, tissues, dishwasher pods and more. It felt like we were borrowing someone’s home, rather than just renting a place to sleep. Decorations were homey and overall a great property and location.

We had a wonderful time at this rental property. The location is perfect - just 1 block from the beach - and the house itself had plenty of room for my family and my inlaws. The main level was great for gathering, and everyone had their corner of the house to retreat back to at the end of day. We're looking forward to staying here again.

Family escape
Beautiful unit with great layout for a family. Very very close to the beach and entrypoint which makes for easy access and close enough to stop back to the house during a beach day for bathrooms etc. Beach cart and chairs offered with storage unit making packing much easier. Our second time visiting and would highly recommend !

Great location
We had a wonderful vacation. The condo was clean, comfortable and perfectly located for walking to town and biking everywhere. The beach was just a short stroll down the block from the front porch.
However there are three minor upgrades that would make it a five star property.
1- install a clothesline in the back or side yard for hanging towels and bathing suits or even a retractable line across the shower and tub. There was literally no where to hang anything.
2- ceiling fans in the bedrooms and common room. Wonderful ocean breezes came down Jefferson Ave but without fans we couldn’t circulate that lovely air.
3- room darkening shades for the third floor bonus room skylights. It was a lovely large room but the afternoon sun turned it into a greenhouse and the a/c could not keep up.
With these fixes the house would be practically perfect.
It’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy Cape May.

Close to the heart of Cape May yet still quiet and private. One block to the beach and promenade. Perfect for a family weekend away with the kids and the grandparents. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking to vacation in Cape May.

This was a great choice for a long weekend with the whole family--plenty of room for 5 adults and 3 children. We'd definitely stay here again.

Great weekend getaway
My family (5 and 8 YO) had a great time here. We were off season, but still so much to do. The property owner was helpful with suggestions and very pleasant to communicate with. We had a minor snafu with the check-in process but we were able to work through it and didn't let it delay our good times. Thankfully the boardwalk arcade was still open. It's in a great location even for off-season but I can see if you're there during Beach time, this is the place to be. It's a wonderful neighborhood with proximity torestaurants and just far enough away from the busier downtown where it's an easy walk, but without the noise and traffic. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Property/Great Location
This is a great two-level apartment just one block from the beach and close to the heart of Cape May. 4 adults, one kindergartener and a toddler enjoyed the place very comfortably for a long weekend. Check-in was a breeze, everything was clean on our arrival, and the location can’t be beat — close enough to walk easily to the heart of Cape May, but a little removed for a quiet evening. Highly recommend.

Block from the Beach!
Stayed with my family of 5 (3 YOUNG kids) and my parents for a week. The house is exactly as advertised. Rebecca was a wonderful host even checking in on us after hearing about the remnants of Hurricane Ida hitting New Jersey (but largely avoiding Cape May).
Best part was being one short block from the some of the best beaches in the world. This can't be overstated.

Very clean and spacious (bigger than the pictures show), only a block from beach entry. Quick access to Washington st shopping and restaurants. Easy and clear communications with owner. Loved it and would recommend!

Rebecca is an extremely responsive and helpful owner. The place has ample storage for bikes and beach stuff. Great front porch . Well-designed kitchen. Fantastic kitchen table that seats 8. Comfortable family room with large sectional sofa. Would highly recommend and hope to stay there again in the future.

The property was clean and simply perfect. We had a great time in Cape May for the weekend. This is our 3rd annual visit and we’ve never had any issues. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to relax just a few blocks away from the old town shops and restaurants. We’ll be coming back next year!!

Quiet Surprising
At first glance the home is beautiful and can not beat the location. The home needs some major TLC. All the kitchen cabinets were a mess and filled with food, coffee, old spices etc... The master bathroom and bedroom were very dirty. The bathroom had missing light bulbs and a used bar of soap was left in the shower from visitors before. I informed owner of problems and she gave my cell# to cleaning company without my permission. Owner never checked back with me to see if home was re cleaned. Also the AC is horrible everyone was hot the entire trip. Sorry to say I will never rent here again.

Perfect for a young family!!!
Loved convenience for having a storage u it for stroller and beach supplies. Also outdoor shower that offers privacy made keeping house sand free so easy! We loved this house! Also enjoyed the kid friendly plates and forks that were available. My kids loved this house and we did too! Loved having on site parking and a great spot to store and charge scooter for elderly family members! Absolutely perfect.

We stayed there for a beach weekend in December and the place was perfect for our family. Just a block off the ocean and a few minutes walk to downtown. I definitely recommend this property for a relaxing stay at the beach. We’ll be back for sure!!

Comfortable, Relaxing Beach Retreat
From the moment we stepped into the house, we knew we would have everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Cape May. The renovated kitchen was a pleasure to cook with. Aside from the great location and amenities, all of us enjoyed the upstairs balcony for an afternoon coffee or snooze. Highly recommend!

The property is just lovely; well stocked with cleaning supplies, dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, and appliances, even a nice selection of spices for cooking. Decorated so nicely. Really appreciated the books on Cape May for researching things to do in the area. We had such a wonderful mini vacation. Plus, it is only one block from the beach, and within walking distance of everything (restaurants, shops). Loved sitting out on the porch at night with a cup of coffee; very relaxing.

We loved our stay in Aug at Serenity by the Sea! We were a family of 6, 4 adults and 2 young children. We enjoyed being close to everything. Especially, being close to the beach as it made it possible to bring a tent and a cooler along, plus our children did not get tired walking and could even help carry their sand toys. We are also vivid bikers, and being close to the boradwalk and the mall was important for us. We could ride safely with the kids. Also, this place is a very short drive to the local grocery store and pharmacy. One could walk to the store too.
The place is very clean, comfortable and brite. The beds accomodated us perfectly. Everything is new; the kitchen is well equipped; the open layout downstairs made it great for family meals. Off-street parking was convenient for 2 cars plus more was available on the street. Private locker at the house stored all of our bikes (we had 4 but can fit more), chairs, beach tent, umbrella, toys and could have fit even more. There was also plenty of space on the front porch for all of us to sit; it was great for our a morning coffee, dessert and games in the evening. Outdoor shared shower was very clean, never ran out of hot water and perfect after a hot beach day. There was also a hose which came in handy for the kids to rinse off the sand.
We look forward to staying at Serenity by the Sea again next summer!
