About this apartment rental
The ULTIMATE in refinement and elegant living, with views that must surely be second to none!
Directly overlooking St. Mark’s Basilica, St. Mark’s Square and the Campanile towering tall, it’s with barely contained excitement that we welcome Due Leoni…
… A property that made us all gasp in astonishment, to describe it as ‘stunning’ would be an understatement to say the least!
Hosting 6 astute guests in trip-of-a-lifetime surroundings and (almost!) rubbing shoulders with the Torre dell’ Orologio (Clock Tower) next door, the 4 bedroom Due Leoni is as rare as it is ravishing and is bright, uplifting and exceptional throughout.
Classically furnished with grace and panache and on the 4th floor served by lift, the air-conditioned* apartment boasts gorgeous wooden parquet flooring while its walls are adorned with period paintings and prints.
‘Take-your-breath-away-wonderful’ and including Wi-Fi, the accommodation comprises -
- An airy and spacious south-facing sitting / dining room with ample comfortable seating, a beautiful Aubusson-style rug, and an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling glazed doors opening directly onto the long furnished terrace overlooking the Basilica… take a browse through its photo gallery - need we say more!
- A cosy library / relaxation area with sofa to the side where the TV, though just the thing for chilling out during downtime, inevitably ‘plays second fiddle’ to the splendid vista outside
- A streamlined, modern galley-style kitchen - well-equipped and found just to the rear of the sitting room
- A quietly elegant master bedroom to the front of the apartment with a double bed and 3 floor-to-ceiling glazed doors opening onto the terrace enjoying eye-level views towards the Basilica’s famous bronze horses and extending down to the waters of the Bacino beside the Doge’s Palace
- A beautifully presented double bedroom to the rear with double bed and a few steps leading up to an en-suite bathroom with shower
- Two very pretty chintzy single bedrooms to the middle of the apartment (and on opposite sides), one with an en-suite bathroom with shower
- A separate bathroom with bathtub to the very rear of the property, & completing the apartment…
- A laundry room with combined washing machine/dryer, ideal for longer stays
* Present in all main rooms with the exception of the kitchen

OUR COMMENT
100% Chic and entirely unique - one of the most remarkable rental properties in Venice today.
Standing in the iconic beating heart of ‘La Serenissima’ - St. Mark’s Square - where, at night, the orchestras of the world-famous Gran Caffe Quadri and Caffe Florian conjure up a truly magical atmosphere (music is dependent on weather and season!), while the pink and white marble of the Doge’s Palace glows, and the mosaics of the Basilica shimmer in the darkness.
A short stroll to the recently restored Rialto Bridge crossing the Grand Canal, and T Fondaco Dei Tedeschi - Venice’s new lifestyle department store.
Also within easy reach of 2 well-stocked supermarkets for all your self-catering requirements - one at Salizada San Lio and the other at Rialto - and to the vaporetto (water bus) stops at San Zaccaria and Vallaresso for simple and convenient travel around town.
For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organize arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.

This place is all it claims to be, with convenient location and amazing views from the huge (I mean huge) deck overlooking the piazza. We came with 4 kids age 9-16 and everyone loved it. We especially enjoyed sipping coffee and wine on the deck while the kids slept in. Rent this place.

From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in all of the beauty and wonder that is Venice. We were greeted at the water taxi dock by Enrica who took exceptional care of us throughout our entire stay. The apartment is beautifully appointed with colorful decor, comfortable beds & baths and updated kitchen. However, the balcony which overlooks St. Marks Square is just spectacular. We strolled the lovely streets of Venice and then enjoyed a glass of wine enjoying the breathtaking views! I hope to return someday!!!

Location and elegance meet. And the people working at Views on Venice are terrific - they are pleasant and so helpful on everything!

This location surpassed what I would ever believe could be a residence on VRBO. What a fantastic place to stay.

Wonderful place right on St Marks Square. You can hear the orchestras from the balcony and see all the sights. Very clean. Hosts were great.
Only drawback is you are so close to everything you can hear the famous clock tower bells of you are in the front bedroom but it was not too bad. Rest was wonderful.

Apart from the incredible location right at the piazza, the apartment was very spacious and comfortable for my family. Having a lift in the building (although very small and old) was a plus as well.
The view was also incredible - almost unreal!
Located at the center means plenty of noise - different bells from nearby towers ring until midnight and start ringing from very early in the morning, so this may wake you up especially if you sleep in the main masters bedroom.
The noise from tourists enjoying the piazza late at night can also be heard quite well if you are in the livingroom and masters bedroom, so if you are a light sleeper, this may affect your stay.

Great apartment, breakfast and evenings overlooking the action on St Marks. Couldn't be better located or have a better view unless it was on top of the cathedral itself.

Would stay here again. For three generations ranging from 12-69 there was plenty of space. Very clean. Internet about 8 mb down but having come from a cruise, it was great.
Balcony is fantastic. We ate breakfast there. At sunrise one morning there were gnats so we should have had insect repellant.
Hostess arranged for transportation from cruise ship on arrival and on departure to airport. We had everything planned but if not I am sure she would have arranged for more.
Apartment is three blocks from water taxi and we did not need a porter since our luggage had wheels. Be sure to get a price for the porter and other transportation and services. If a group be sure price is for the group and not per person.
Great visit, Thank you.

Perfect location, especially for our grandmother who came. She was able to go take a rest during the day. Views were amazing. Wonderful hosts who helped us navigate our departure which was complex on a holiday. One of the single beds was broken, but we easily fixed it. The Wi-Fi, was good. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Amazing Villa in Venice
If you are looking for an amazing view in the heart of Venice, look no further. This is a large place with plenty of room for 6-8 people. The pictures don’t do it justice as it lies in the center of the most famous square in Venice.
We had absolutely no issues - everything was provided and the host was amazing even coordinating our boat back to the train station at the end of our stay - and then escorting us to the dock to make sure we found the right boat!
If you want to stay at the best place in Venice - stay here - you won’t regret a moment.

Exactly as advertised. In the middle of everything but once the window shutters closed, also very quiet. Whole family loved it.

This property is beautiful. The terrace is everything this place is about. The windows are open so you can wake up to the most beautiful view. We felt like royalty. You get to hear all three bell towers ring throughout the day…and through the night. So bring some earplugs if that bothers you. We had a wonderful stay and it’s close to Cafe Florian and literally on St Mark’s Square!!

Unforgettable
You can't stay in a more beautiful place. The pictures don't do it justice, the views, the cleanliness, and the newness of the apartment. Magical. Wifi not that strong but I brought a hotspot that could pick up 4G so could do zoom. Also they even had a foldable desk so could truly "work from home.".

We stayed a week to celebrate my 50th birthday in Venice. This is our 3rd time visiting the city and I call tell this was the most unique and beautiful of our trips. Due Leoni Terrace is the special place that make you feel the most special people. The staff managing the property is very caring and professional. We had a very rare opportunity to meet with the owners and they were like angels, amazing and kind people. I recommend Due Leoni Terrace to anyone that want to visit Venice and experience the most beautiful and real picture of the most amazing city in the world. The perfection of a decoration that transport you to another place in history.

Hard to beat :-)
We had been to Venice many times in different places and locations. It is hard to imagine that there is place in Venice that would have a cooler location. Besides of the flat itself that is very nice, with a very nicely equipped kitchen (You will be tempted to cook yourself, having that balcony over S. Marco) you are always very near to anything you could think of in Venice. Should You wish to do so, you can always return "home" for a break and be "back on the road" refreshed and rested.
The VoV-staff has been very helpfull troughout the planing, booking and stay.

A flat with a view second to none in Venice! Beautifully done, great amenities!
A fully-equiped, large flat with great common areas and small touches and a view that is second to none in Venice.
I realise the entrance is a public space for all tenants of the building but a bit of effort to make it look less grim could be an idea a simple new coat of paint on the walls could work!
