Really enjoyed the cabin, watched Bald Eagles build a nest and the cute otter that came up on the front porch.

There was no 3rd bedroom with bunk beds, only a pull out couch in the living room. And the fire pit deck was 30 yards below the house on a 45 degree slope with no handrails on the steps. On a positive note, the house was very clean on the inside.

Was looking to make our trip to the Dells just a bit more experiential and this was the perfect touch. Easy friendly check in. Scenic winding roads. And greeted at the A-Frame house by a cute boardwalk that leads to the front door. Inside was clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed per the listing description. The bedrooms were especially cozy and comfortable with subtle lighting and cool architectural vaulted ceilings. The views to the gully behind the house were impressive, and there was a nicely situated campfire area. A cute scenic experience that added the perfect amount of wonder and awe for our young family.

The house is in a great location 6 blacks from Wilderness resort, just off the main drag of the Dells. Easy 1 min drive or a 10 min walk.
Things to note about the house: The bedrooms are on the 2nd fl & the only way up is a narrow, steep spiral stairs. Not easily accessible for pets or anyone with leg/hip issues. The main floor couch does pull out into a full sized bed, but no sheets, blankets of pillows were provided (which was odd).
The main floor was cute, but the bathroom had a very large hole in the drywall you could see thru to the basement. Likely where the mice were getting in. Yes, there were clear evidence of mice in the cupboards and drawers. We did not feel comfortable cooking there or eating off the plates.
The outside decks were probably awesome at one time, but it didn’t appear to have been cleaned in a long time (several inches of leaves from the previous autumn.. nearly 9 months ago). The dock was flipped over so we didn’t get a chance to use the kyack (also didn’t see life jackets). The chairs around the fire pit were really dirty as well.
It was fun to see the gopher and family of 6 raccoons that live under the front porch walk on the deck and look in. Our dog enjoyed that quite a lot.
In summary, the house is in a great location, and kinda dog friendly, but not all people friendly. It needs a good deep clean (on a regular )a number of maintenance & extermination (mice, spiders), but if you need a central location this may fit your need.

Everything was great, only issue was the spiral stairs. Our dogs were just afraid, but the pullout couch worked fabulous for all of us to stay on the main level.

This cabin had all the cute, kitschy factors you'd hope for in a getaway cabin. As other reviewers mentioned, this is a bare bones stay and has everything you could need to get by. Important to note that you should pack a dish sponge and paper towels, though not necessary. Place was pretty clean, and check-in process was easy (though you have to pick up and drop keys off at a separate location, about 3 minutes from the cabin). We stayed here in order to do some of the local hikes, and the location was convenient and nice for that purpose. Important to note that the cabin is very closely located to other homes, and isn't remote but is located in a pleasant neighborhood (no sidewalks though). It served our purpose and was a nice weekend away!

We loved our stay at Nord Haus! Our kids are already asking when we can come back. Recommend for kids older than 5 due to the spiral staircase and the steep decline down to the water in the backyard.
Very highly recommend! Views for days, loved the fireplace for cold nights, and so close to all the Wisconsin dells amenities. We will 100% be back!

This property far exceeded my expectations. I stayed on a holiday and was pleasantly surprised that the check in and out was very easy with the being staff extremely helpful and accommodating. The cabin itself was stunning and fantastically decorated. I brought a lot of utensils and needed none. The cabin had absolutely everything everything.I needed. A beautiful property and a 10 out of 10 stay. Thank you!

My wife and I stayed here one week with our four kids and dog. Great place to relax. We barbecued nightly on the large deck. Spent the days hitting the attractions.
I forgot my tablet at the cabin after checkout. When I realized this we were 2 hours away. My wife called and they already had it in there possession, and were happy to send it to us.
We would stay in this cabin again no doubt!

Loved our little cabin in the woods
My family very much enjoyed our stay. We planned our whole trip around our 75 pound golden doodle Walter. It’s not easy to find a place that allows large dogs but we stumbled across this one and it was perfect(he was afraid of the spiral staircase but was fine staying on the 1st floor) The location is excellent you feel like your in the wilderness but can be to town in 2 mins. Walter and I enjoyed a scenic walk every morning before we ventured out for the day. My boys fished off the bank down the back hill from the cabin and we rented a pontoon and jest skis since we were right on Lake Delton and had a blast. Dells water sports is literally across the creek. We managed to find several dog friendly options for our Walter definitely recommend if your are traveling with a pet.

My kids and I had a great stay at Nord Haus.
My kids and I had a great stay at Nord Haus. Fantastic outdoor area, great for cookouts and a campfire. The best part of the trip was paddling from the house up to Mirror Lake. We used the canoe provided with the house, and rented a couple of kayaks from the nearby marina. By "nearby," I mean you can actually see the marina from the end of the Nord Haus dock! No driving necessary. Be prepared to portage over a small dam. Excellent trip!

Great Getaway Spot!
We stayed with our family at this quaint A-frame during the midst of a COVID surge and needed to get away without being around a lot of people. The location is fantastic: private, yet close to many amenities. The people at the property management company were very friendly and helpful. The cabin was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Our kids loved it. We were able to order delivery from a variety of restaurants as well. The only thing I would ask is for some paper towels to help keep things clean with small kids, but otherwise, we had everything we needed!

Quiet and close to Dells attractions.
Had a good time. Super steep slope to backyard and the rowboat on site. Elderly or disabled won't be able to go up the small spiral staircase.
No place is perfect. But Nordhaus is clean, quiet, and a 1 minute drive to the property management office if you want fresh towels every day.
Smart TV will let you stream. Good WiFi.
Really enjoyed it. Would rent again.

Cabin in the woods (and in the middle of everything)
This cabin is such a surprise. It is this adorable little A frame cabin tucked into a wooded area and on on hill above a river. When you sit out on the back porch, you feel like you are in the trees, you are up so high. There is a lovely firepit and with a bit of a walk down the hill, you can get to a canoe which is free to use on your stay to paddle up and down the river. The cabin also has life vests and paddles there for your use but we highly suggest wiping them all down on your own before use. Our son excitedly put one on before we had a chance to wipe it down and got hives everywhere the vest touched. (we did tell management about this so it could be resolved already!) There were eagles nesting in one of the trees near by too. We didn't actually see them but we could hear the calls while we sat outside.
Inside, the cabin is open concept with a small kitchen, dining room, living room and full bath. In the middle of the cabin is a spiral staircase going upstairs to the loft bedrooms. These are not separate rooms but all one space with a queen bed and 2 twin beds. There was plenty of room up there for us to also set up a pack n play for our 1 year old. Due to the spiral staircase and the steep incline down to the river, this cabin is only for the able bodied but our kids (ages 8 and 1) did great with all of it and we had no problems.
What's really crazy about this cabin though is that downtown WI Dells is basically outside your door. The Wilderness resort and Moosejaw pizza are less than 1/2 mile away. For us, this was perfect. It meant that when we wanted to grab food, or when we forgot toothpaste, it took no time to go and get supplies. With a little baby on her first cabin trip, that was a lifesaver. Honestly, this place is the best of both worlds!

We had a great time. House is unique and had everything we needed. They even left us a canoe!
The property was great. It is small but fit 4 of us with no problems. Walk to lake is steep, I don’t recommend the walk down if someone is elderly (and you have to go back up). Patio was beautiful and there really were eagles nesting in the backyard. We were so close to all of the attractions!
The A frame house is unique. Stairs up to loft wouldn’t be good for elderly (small and tight fit). Kids had no problem. Nice picnic table with bench on patio. Awesome!
