About this cottage rental
Cozy 2 BR, 1 BA cottage located on Mayo Beach. Cottage is part of the desirable Wellfleeter Condominium Complex located at the end of Mayo Beach. This quaint cottage has a kitchen/dining area, a living room, two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed the other bedroom has 2 twin beds. The bathroom features a stand-up shower. Amenities in this rental include: Sheets, pillows, blankets, towels (both bath and beach), flat screen TV's with DVD player and Wireless Internet Service. There are 20 cottages located on the Wellfleeter property. There is a staircase on the Wellfleeter property which leads down to a 400-foot private beach area. The cottage is walking distance to the following is about 10 - 15 minutes: center of town, public tennis courts, community playground, local restaurants, live theater and all activities that the Wellfleet Harbor has to offer. It is a 10 min. car ride to Wellfleet's freshwater ponds and spectacular ocean side beaches. This is a non-smoking cottage, unfortunately, as much as I love animals, pets are not allowed.

Overall, the property is in an absolutely fantastic location. It’s on a private beach. Gorgeous. It was very clean. The house is lovely, but a few updates would help. The house feels small because of the overly large furniture and the blinds kept getting tangled. Stove and fridge are dated. Overall very nice place!

The cottage was in a great location! Easy access to our own private slice of Mayo beach and walking distance to the pier. Everything we needed was provided and it was very clean and organized. Communication with the owners was easy. We loved our stay! We’ll be back!

Keep it quiet but September is the best month to visit the Cape. Kids are back in school, most restaurants are still open and the weather is perfect. Cabin was the right size for three adults. can't vouch for the kitchen, too many restaurants. Nice beach for walking or sitting on the bench watching the tide. Centrally located P'town and Orleans are both around 20 minutes driving time. Check in-out were smooth. Worst part was leaving . Looking forward to a return trip.

Well-kept cozy cottage for family of 3 with a great view from kitchen. Location can’t be beat for access to all Wellfleet has to offer. Everything one needs to make a great cup of coffee or tea provided. If you like to watch movies, a huge tv and Netflix, Amazon, etc. Loved our 10 min beach or road walks to Ceraldi for coffee and pastries in the AM or to Mac’s on the Pier for dinner. Shopping at pop-up art market in front of beach fun too. So much to do within walking distance to cottage. Overall great experience and hope to come back to Wellfleeter condo next year. For this beach, a good idea to bring water shoes as many shells and rocks, especially in low tide. Thank you Stacey & Peter!

The location can’t be beat! It’s near restaurants, galleries, tennis & pickle ball courts, and steps from the bay.
Comfortable living room and an efficient kitchen.
Stackable washer/dryer was great to have.
Two twin beds as advertised were comfortable. The ‘queen’ bed is actually a full.

Lovely place!!
An enjoyable stay. Lovely area and right on Mayo beach. The cabin has everything you could want. You may want to bring beach towels though. A great value for the location. We have already booked for next year!

Excellent location and lots of updates!
My husband, my elderly mother, and I stayed at this cottage in June, and it was amazing! Every detail was taken care of, and the cottage was recently updated so everything was clean and functioning very well.
Location was terrific - we had easy access to beaches and P town. I highly recommend this place to stay. Just make sure you are able to share a small space with your trip mates - it is cozy.

Very cute and as advertised.
It was fine for two adults. Peter was very helpful in clearing up a TV snafu caused by previous renters. A strong suggestion would be to prepare a notebook of instructions re all electrical items, as other hosts do where we have rented. This would help to avoid confusion. But - a good cottage!

Our new favorite in wellfleet
We had a great stay yet again at #5 Wellfleeter (year 2 we’ve rented it). The hosts are so great at communicating, check in is a breeze, the place is always clean and updated. It has everything you need from soap towels and linens to tubberware, blenders and Apple TV. Our family has been coming to Wellfleet for over 40 years so we’ve stayed all over the Kendrick Avenue and Mayo Beach area. Wellfleeter #5 hits all our needs and wants. We’ll be back for the cottage next year!

Great location, lovely private beach
As with last summer, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wellfleeter condos village. The amenities and location can't be beat. The beach is great for swimming at high tide, tide-pooling and wading at low tide, and kayaking at any time. We only left the property to pick up meals and ice cream, and once to visit Whitecrest beach. Can't wait to book our next trip!

Great location!
This Wellfleeter cottage is right by the water, so we could have cocktails by the beach, in walking distance to a good restaurant, close to the Cape Cod National Seashore and within driving distance of the shops in Provincetown. It is not right in the center of Wellfleet, which we thought was an added advantage, since there weren't as many people as you would find by staying downtown.
Owners are accessible, responded quickly, and answered all of our questions. Bedrooms are a bit small, so large people might have difficulty negotiating the space, but my sister and I had no problem.
I recommend this as a great place to stay if you are looking for beach time, lots of natural surroundings and a bit of shopping, too.

We love the Wellfleeter!
This cottage was charming, not too big but with everything we needed for a wonderful end of summer getaway. The location made this the most relaxing Cape vacation yet! The private beach out our door, walks and bike rides into town, and even Condo association walkways that became bike and scooter paths for my kids and the other kids around to ride their bikes - it was just a perfect family spot! We were able to launch our kayaks from the beach and kayak to Mac’s for an ice cream ! We will be be back!

We had a great time at this property. It was clean and the breeze off the bay was wonderful. Very convenient to restaurants and shops. Great beach for morning walks and sunsets.

Cute Cottage
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The property was very well maintained and spotless upon our arrival. The owners, Peter and Stacy, were both highly communicative and responsive. First class owners. The location is terrific - very close to the beach and the Bookstore and Pearl Restaurants. There were three issues worth noting with the house itself. First, there is no dishwasher (this was not noted in the listing) and the kitchen sink faucet was stationary, which made washing dishes awkward. We ate out most of the time, so this was not a significant issue for us. Second, the queen bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable, but the bedroom is very small and it is only possible to access the bed from one side. That was very inconvenient. Third, there is no air conditioner or ceiling fan in the second bedroom, so the only way to cool it is to leave the bedroom door open and use the air conditioner in the living room.

The perfect getaway in Wellfleet
We had a wonderful time at the Seaside Cozy Wellfleeter Cottage this summer. We have vacationed in Wellfleet for a few decades all up and down the Mayo Beach area. This house was convenient to town and the harbor, as well as our go-to-spot on the bay. We biked to local ponds and restaurants, walked to and from the peer, and drove quickly to some of our favorite beach spots. The house itself is incredibly clean and very well decorated. We were actually amazed at how well the owners used the small square footage to make it feel as spacious as it did. Everything we could have wanted was there from the kitchen, to the entertainment options (tv, wifi, games, books, etc) to the towels and linens, beach chairs, bike storage and more! Above and beyond really. The Wellfleeter community was so quiet around us as well. The neighbors we met were delightful (some renters & some owners). We often had our little one running around the paths between the homes or playing in the grassy areas before bedtime to burn off some energy. We'll definitely be back!

Great spot for couples
The cottage we stayed at was comfortable for two, would be tight for four, but very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. These cottages are all right on the water, with access to Mayo beach. Our first time staying in Wellfleet, and we loved how easy it is to get to the P-Town and the NPS beaches.

Beautiful, relaxing weekend in Wellfleet
Everything we needed and wanted in a week on the Cape. Mayo Beach is steps from the front door of the cottage. Kitchen is stocked with everything you could need to cook. Air conditioning units keep the cottage cool on hot days and open windows with lovely breeze on cool ones. Grill and beach chairs provided and Wellfleet visitor parking permit gives access to great beaches on the bay and on the ocean. Host was very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Think twice
This place should be given a 4 star rating based on the location. However from start to finish it was not the least bit deserving of more than a 2.
We booked it last minute, 3 or so weeks prior to arrival. It took 3 attempts to get the contract right. Wrong units, then wrong name on contract and finally on the third try they got it right.
We received no welcome info ahead of time so I had to ask what to do when my wife and I arrived. We arrived and someone was parked in our parking spot. Oops they gave us the wrong parking spot number.
We enter the cottage and no info or booklet telling us anything. I had to call for the internet login and password info. That should be in a packet on arrival.
After unpacking we realized that all the smoke detectors had been removed. There were 3 brackets anchored to walls but none had the actual detector installed. This is basic life safety and a requirement for all rentals. I contacted the owner/manager and while they expressed surprise they offered to do nothing about it. Completely unacceptable and I would imagine, illegal.
We also quickly realized that the two lights over the bathroom vanity did not work. One had a burned out bulb and the other had a bulb that spun in the socket and was impossible to remove. And there were no replacement bulbs.
None of the 3 beds were made but had clean folded sheets on top of each. Maybe Covid related so I’ll give it a pass.
As for the cottage itself it is very compact. And made more compact by the ridiculous in room A/C units, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. They were the size of Artoo-Detoo of Star Wars fame. Fortunately it was only 2 of us so my wife slept in one room and I in the other. It was impossible to put 2 people in the master as it was tiny to begin with and made impassable by the AC unit.
The A/C unit in the living room was connected to a wall outlet with a disgusting 50’ power cord that looked like it had done a year of duty on a road paving project. Since it was so long they dumped the balance in a milk crate next to the couch and draped the cord around the top of the sectional.
The kitchen was tiny and old and lacking in some basic kitchen items except it had every imaginable coffee, tea, expresso maker stacked on the microwave. There were no scrub pads to clean pots, nor salad or mixing bowls or salad tongs. The outdoor grill was filthy so we did not use it

Cozy cottage by the sea
What's not to love? Stacey was a superb host. She was easy to reach and took wonderful care of us from the fresh flowers on the dining room table to the luscious Nespresso coffee she supplied. The cottage is small, but perfect for a couple. It's decor is done in seaside blues and greens that go perfectly with the view of the ocean from the dining room table. The beds are very comfortable and the living room seating is spacious and inviting. The kitchen is well equipped and bright and airy. We really enjoyed walking down the path to the beach each morning to sip our coffee and we loved how close some really good restaurants were! It was a perfect getaway!
