About this cabin rental
FIREFLY looks like a little mountain farmhouse – rustic outside and charmingly decorated with handcrafted mountain furniture inside.
In the living area, a casual leather sofa faces the large stone fireplace as well as the TV, which has premium channels.
The kitchen is well-equipped and there are two dining tables – inside and outside. The back patio has a charcoal grill, perfect for preparing the "catch of the day." The bedroom on the main floor has a queen-sized bed and a bath with claw-foot tub/shower.
The second floor has a half-bath and 2 bedrooms – one with king-sized bed, and one with a queen-sized bed. We pride ourselves on soft linens and comfortable mattresses for a restful sleep.
Use the air-conditioning we provide, or the ceiling fans and the naturally cool mountain air – your choice.
After an active day and lot's of good vacation food, the perfect spot to relax is our romantic hot tub. You'll enjoy lots of privacy back above the cabin - tucked away in the rhododendron and open to the stars. You might even see a real firefly or two.
We request that the guest who books the reservation be respectfully 18 or older. Pets are allowed though we do ask guests pay pet rent of $80 for their first dog, with an additional $40 for each additional dog, to help cover the additional time it takes our staff to prepare the property for our next guests, please bring a crate if you intend to leave the dog at the property unattended and we reserve the right to decline puppies, large breeds over a certain weight, etc.

The cabin didn’t appear to be very clean. No closets to hang clothes in. Bath tub was small, had curtain around it for showering. We had very hard time showering. Not handicapped friendly. Had to carry our luggage up step’s just to get into cabin. They had one old Chester drawer down stairs for clothes had foul smell, bottom partially missing in bottom drawer. The property manager said to hang clothes on deer horns. The screen on front screen door holes all through, couldn’t leave front door open cause the screen wouldn’t keep the bugs out. Sit in leather chair in den and you almost went down to the floor. Felt like the bottom of seat was busted out. TV in den was very fuzzy couldn’t see it very good,TV up stairs didn’t work. There was no night stands by bed down stairs to put CPAP on. Wife can’t do stairs. The cabin was smaller than what pictures showed it to be. Didn’t have room for suitcases down stairs it was really small not very user friendly. No dishwasher. No shelves or counter tops in bathroom to put our lotion/things on for normal everyday use. Cabin had roads on two sides not private at all. Steps W/O handrails to get up to hot tub, which wasn’t very easy for us, water green, we didn’t use. Only one window downstairs felt closed in. Would lose our money if went somewhere else. Wasn’t happy with cabin at all.

My Mom, two sisiters and myself rented this cabin. Cabin is smaller than it looks in photos. The kitchen is very small, small stove and refrigerator, which is ok, but needs to be made clear in description. There is only a love seat and one chair in the living room, not enough room for a family of 4 to sit together. The furniture also needs to be updated. No tv's in bedrooms, except one bedroom upstairs, and we could never get it to power on. For the most part it was clean, except for the toilet upstairs and the kitchen floor. Overall, we had a good stay here, this place just needs some TLC

Weekend family vacation
Quaint little cabin. Road into the cabin was straight up a very step hill, cabin felt smaller than the pictures made it out to be.

Loved it!
We found the cabin to be warm, cozy, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots & pans. The dining area inside was slightly cramped BUT the outdoor dining area was perfect with a nice view. The hot tub was very clean and ready when we arrived. The check in and out process was VERY easy and the host responded right away to any questions we had. We will be booking this cabin again in the future!

Very pretty
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, my only recommendations is a dryer to dry our hot tub stuff and a railing up to the hot tub/on the outside of the hot tub! 😂😂 We had a great time and saw a shooting star while in the hot tub one night, and Ed was super responsive and nice. We genuinely appreciated his care!

Great weekend get away
The cabin was a great little place for just the wife and I to stay for a weekend. We didn't get a much time in the cabin as we would have liked by the end of the weekend but the time we were there we enjoyed.
I would definitely recommend a vehicle that's a little higher to the ground. We took my jeep and had no issues but I could definitely see other vehicles not doing well on the roads leading up to.

Best Family Getaway
We had a great time from the drive up the mountain to the stroll down to the lakeside park. The jacuzzi was fabulous, the house was nice and clean ,the out side front and back porch has rocking chairs and a table for an outdoor meal with the family. The fire place was nice but also had heaters and air. Beds were comfortable and plush. The house had everything you needed from coffee and cream to pots and pans, towels cleaning supplies, they have it all. We really enjoyed the entire atmosphere even my 17 yr old daughter was impressed (which is HARD to do, cause shes seen it ALL lol) and the host we cant say enough. He was so hospitable and was avaliable for the least thing but was never overbearing. We will definitely visit Again without the kids lol.

Cozy, efficient, and convenient.
There were five adults in our family group, and the small but efficient Firefly cabin accommodated our group perfectly. It was close to Bryson City so stores, restaurants and attractions were very accessible, but at the same time the cabin was remote enough to provided us a true taste of what it must be like to live among the beautiful Smoky Mountains. The owner was also super nice and responsive to any questions or requests. Many thanks to Eduardo. We had a wonderful time.

Great place for a couples getaway!
This cabin would be great for a couples getaway. We had a family of 5 and it was definitely doable but could not all eat at the dining room table. The location is right down the road from Bryson City which was super convenient. I was also able to put my 20ft pontoon in the driveway which was a huge bonus.. Little things could be improved (like more paper towels, trash bags, etc.) but overall it was a quiet and cozy cabin.

loved the location didnt want the vaca to end!! Needs an extra step to the hot tub& washer/dryer.
Wonderful experience, very easy to book, pretty location, semi easy to find but steep terrain definitely suggest a 4×4 in the winter months. Needs a washer/dryer that would be an awesome addition for families with kids and an extra step to the hot tub would make it a little easier to get into. We didnt want the vacation to end overall an amazing time and a breathtaking place to stay. WE WILL BE BACK!!

Will stay here again.
Place was very clean and had everything we needed to cook. Starz, Showtime and HBO on Direct TV. Stairs going up to hot tub needs a handrail and steps to get in and out of hot tub. We plan to stay there again. Owner was great.
