Pleasantly enjoyed our stay after the Polar Express train ride. Room was comfortable & clean. Speedy check-in & an awesome delicious breakfast in sunroom with holiday decor along with some history shared by innkeeper. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay! The staff was very personable, remembered my kids names, very attentive, had craft time for the kids so we could finish our breakfast, very sweet and we would definitely stay again!

This place is so beautiful inside and out. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The common areas inside were cozy and offered plenty of windows for views of the mountains and grounds. The outside area was well kept with plenty of seating, string lights for evenings, coy pond, and fire pit. My husband and I enjoyed playing coin toss and corn hole. The breakfast was good and the owners/staff were so friendly.

I was impressed by the overall experience. The owner is very personable and attentive. After a good night sleep on a very comfortable bed, we were treated to a delicious home cooked breakfast. I asked for a particular item that was not offered as part of breakfast and in a few minutes he brought it to me(wow) . This is a place that I would absolutely recommend to all with confidence.

This property was spotless! For one day of our visit, my husband went fly fishing and I stayed to enjoy being at the property. Our unit was near the parking lot and it was even so quiet on this day. In the dining area, there is peaceful music playing indoor and outdoor. So nice to have a refrigerator that is large in the room that can hold leftovers from restaurants and also food from your travel cooler. I highly recommend the McKinley Edwards Inn!

Breakfast was wonderful. I realize it is an older historic facility but I guess I was expecting more?

Hotel was very quirky. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Friendly welcome and informtion provided. Maybe not suitable if you are unable to climb stairs as a few of the rooms involve a decent climb!
Would recommend though

We had a great anniversary weekend . The accommodations were beautiful. Beautiful gardens, quaint room, delicious breakfast. great caretakers of a beautiful place. The biggest negative was my room was 3 floors up. I knew this going in and we packed light. The stairs to second level were good but the next level , the third level, the stairs were so narrow and hard to navigate especially with luggage. The bed was not comfortable and my husband and I kept rolling in the middle of the bed. Needs a new mattress.

It’s country flavor, open fire pit, sitting area and convenience to Bryson.

John Mark is very kind and he takes well care of all guests. The breakfast is delicious, home-made prepared. On our trip we stayed in 4 hotels and this one was the best of all at a reasonable price.

We absolutely love this point bed-and-breakfast! Everything about it was fabulous! We will definitely be back every year!

The common areas were clean and cozy. However the room we booked was adequate but it was an add on and not in the inn and was nothing special. The kicker was the shower went cold after a few seconds and never warmed back up! A cold shower is unacceptable! We tried to call the office but they didn't answer. Next morning the lady in the office's response was "talk to him." His explanation was they over inhabited some of the rooms and the water heater couldn't handle it. That didn't help me.
Breakfast was good and lady in the kitchen was friendly and helpful. But I would not book this "inn"'again nor recommend.

I have never received a more warm welcome than when I walked in to check in. The property is a little old and could use minor patchwork here and there, but the entire place emanates the love put in to it. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and decorated nicely.

It’s a very pretty area, the bed is super comfortable. However, if you are going to relax in the morning it’s hard to do it’s very noisy. Also, for elderly or anyone that has slight trouble walking it is very very difficult to walk around. Definitely not handicap accessible!

Think of it as a bed and breakfast, but with guest rooms detached from the main home! While we were only at the Inn for a night, we enjoyed our stay. The grounds, though transitioning due to the end of the fall colors, were nicely manicured with some distinct trees and foliage. Our room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and the host even cooked me scrambled eggs as the hot breakfast entree contained gluten. Finally, this was our first time visiting Bryson City, and if you are looking for a quaint NC town with great little shops and a variety of local restaurants and places to have a cocktail, you need to check this town out! We'll stay here again on our next visit to the area.

We had a great one night stay on Saturday 10/28/23. Check-in was a breeze, and Janice escorted me to the room to make sure it was satisfactory. The firepit and social time was enjoyable, and my 8 year old son loved the koi pond and the black cat who is the resident feline. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We will definitely return, and highly recommend!!

We loved our stay at McKinley Edwards Inn. We stayed in the Hummingbird room, which was up on the third floor overlooking the beautiful yard in back with fire pit and fish pond. We felt very much at home in the very relaxing, cozy, comfortable room with hummingbird decor. The hosts are friendly and accommodating and serve delicious breakfast in the gorgeous dining room. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This was our first trip to Bryson City and our stay at the McKinley Edwards Inn was a wonderful experience. Proprietors John Mark and Janice went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable experience. They went out of their way to accommodate any request we had including an unlimited supply of firewood for an outdoor fire on Saturday night. The decor inside and out is tastefully done and our room was very clean and comfortable. The dining area is surrounded by windows and offers a phenomenal view of the mountains. The breakfast served was well done with many choices. We are planning a 2nd trip to Bryson City next Spring and will certainly be returning to the McKinley Edwards Inn.

This was a really charming place to spend 3 nights. The staff was very friendly, the bed was comfortable, the grounds had been beautifully landscaped and included fountains and a Koi fish pond. There were lots of gathering places including an outside patio for viewing the beautiful smokey mountains and outside games to play. A tasty breakfast was included. All in all, a great place to stay. You do have to take a very short car ride to get downtown.

We stayed here when we had a 5 hour train ride on the GSMR. We loved the property. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean and quiet, just what we were looking for so we could relax and unwind. We also brought our dog and they were very accommodating. Will definitely be back!
