Exceptional

The owner was very kind to us because we didn't have the car so she picked us up in the evening after the trip by ferry so it was easy and cheap to reach the place! The house was perfect with a complete kitchen where to cook (without a car it is quite difficult to go to the city for dinner, more or less 31 minutes by walking in a street where there are only cars). Everything was perfect during our stay!

Nice home with a beautiful view on Pico and sea Very comfy bed Nice and available host Terrace is incredible

Frogs and roads can be a lillte bit noisy Humid inside with molds that need to be treated ASAP Missing some equipments like wardrobe, good knifes in the kitchen A little bit expensive for the season and the size and location

Beautiful and relaxing place with outstanding views

beautiful place and garden, very clean and cute rooms, peaceful and relaxing wirh a great view to the ocean.

room was rather hot with no air condition or fan. the location is not too far from the center but on a high hill, so taxi, car or good physiques are needed 😄

Disappointed for the price (very noisy because of the main road)

The commodities are good (washing machine, little kitchen) and it is very clean. The room is big and comfortable.

It is very noisy. The accommodation is along a main road of Velas. You can hear cars, trucks, etc... inside and outside. You can also hear your room neighbor. It very expensive for the service.

Superb

We loved staying here! The view is just incredible and the hosts totally went above and beyond to help us out - being super friendly and chatty in the process. The deck has hammocks so you can look out over the Pico volcano at breakfast, and there's a great sun garden too.

Great hosts and place to stay for a few nights. I recommend.

Great location and view. Hosts were very accommodating and responded quickly when we had minor water leaking in the bathroom. Parking was easy. We loved Velas as a town.

A mirror over the built-in alcove in the bedroom would be helpful. More hooks or a coat stand for hanging jackets etc in the entrance would be a good addition. The kitchette was pretty basic with no oven.

Casa dos Lagos was a fantastic stay and exceeded our expectations for view and beauty! The place was cosy, relaxing, and the garden was exceptionally beautiful. The pond, flowers, and view are far more beautiful in person than in the pictures and it was always a joy to eat, sit, and relax outside!

One night stand to repeat endlessly

- didn’t meet the hosts but super nice on the phone and really approachable and chilled - stayed at the tiny studio type and was perfect for 2 - bathroom is perfect, great shower - view over Morro de Velas and the sunset was perfect - also great for the sunrise - kitchen well equipped - bed was huge!!

We had a great stay at this place, despite our super-last-minute-booking, the check-in worked perfectly with a brief introduction and we got a bigger apartment. The apartment was very clean and spacious and had a small but well equipped kitchenette. We slept very well on the comfortable bed. The patio was nice and the garden neat and beautiful with its two ponds. The view from our room on the sea and the Pico was simply stunning and we watched amazing sunsets. The staff was a big help for every question and wish whatsoever and responded quickly.

Fly screens on the windows would be a nice add-on, even though there weren't too many insects around.
