About this apartment rental
We have always taken cleanliness very seriously, as you can see in our reviews, and in these times, we take extra precautions. We follow the CDC's recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting after each stay.
The apartment has tranquil energy, with plenty of space to entertain and relax. It has a dining area off the kitchen on the second floor and also a living area. Upstairs you have your entertainment space with 50 inch TV and comfortable lazy boy coach and lazy boy chair. A gas fireplace on the third floor makes this space a cozy urban Oasis.
The house consists of a double, two different apartment with separate entrance, however, if you are inclined to use the washers and dryers all the way in the basement that is shared. If you are a larger group, the whole house is available as one listing, you would then have two apartments under the same roof at your disposal.
The apartment is decorated with art of the renowned artist Manfred Evertz, and this apartment has four bedrooms with queen beds and 1 and 1/2 bath.

The photos and description are very accurate for this property. THe Hose, Brita, was very proactive in communicating with up prior to our stay. In all, this was a very good experience. Loved the little oasis on the 3rd floor!!

We came for a concert which was walking distance from the place. The place is beautiful with plenty of room. We used the patio as the weather was beautiful. The place is within walking distance of several bars and restaurants.

Great stay. One small issue which I corrected with a quick trip to the hardware store. Although I was not expecting a refund, the manager insisted and sent the money right away.

Great weekend away!
I planned a weekend away with my boyfriend and another couple. This very large house was more than we needed but we absolutely loved it! We rented the upper which was great with the large attic area and 2 balconies.. VERY clean and VERY spacious. The decor was fun and artsy. Beds were comfortable. MAKE sure you read the instructions how to open the door. It took us a few minutes to realize we read it wrong then felt like idiots. I had some questions prior to arriving and Brita answered right away. There is parking on the street and we never had a problem finding a close spot. Lots of restaurants and shopping within 5-10 minutes. We ubered in the evening to go out Axe Throwing. We were close to Elmwood Village where we ate at Aguacates Mexican place and shopped at the little shops. It was a great Staycation during this pandemic. Can't leave NY unless we quarantine so we stayed close and discovered some new places. We felt like we were far away. At one point we drove into a protest that did not look peaceful and they blocked the road. I quickly turned my truck around and headed back the way we were coming from. That was scary for a minute. But all in all, it was a great weekend. The only recommendations I have for the house manager is to have a full length mirror. I am a woman and want to see my outfit from head to toe. Haha! There isn't any wash cloths available so bring some or loofas. And I left a note for the house keeper to replace the spatula in the kitchen. The one available was melted and terrible to use for cooking eggs. That being said, there is plenty of pots, pans, cooking appliances etc. One funny thing, there is a toaster oven not an actual toaster. I was thinking, if my daughter stayed here she would be clueless how to work this very old toaster oven. Hahaha! I would suggest tossing it and just getting a regular toaster. I also suggest that you read through the Welcome folder. It's quick and useful information. Some welcome folders have way too much info and the last thing you want to do is spend a half hour reading it. But this is not that way. Quick and informative. Will definitely stay there again in the future!

Great Stay
We only stayed for a night but we were super impressed with the location, house itself but most importantly how responsive our Host was. I wish we could stay longer but I know where to come when I come back with more friends and family.

I was unfortunately unable to go, but Brita was wonderful at communicating and organizing.

This property was bigger than we anticipated, and we had more than enough room for just the 3 of us. It is tastefully decorated and has everything we needed. We arrived on July 4 during COVID, so we didn’t expect fireworks, but we got to see them set off in 4 different locations from the back patio. There’s a grocery store a couple blocks away where we could get food, since we didn’t plan on eating out. We did get contactless delivery pizza from nearby Ricotta’s. (Pizza was great, garlic bread just meh.) And McDonald’s was close for our little one to have a treat after being out in the sun. We visited Niagara Falls (20 min north) and Bennett Beach (20 min south) and otherwise just chilled. Ample street parking, and meals on the patio allowed us to check out the calm neighborhood. WiFi was spotty, but it could have just been our phones. Worked fine for the TVs. Communication was also great with the Owners. We definitely would recommend this place, and if we ever come back, we’d love to stay here again!

Perfect weekend!
Was a great home in a fantastic spot to enjoy everything WNY has to offer. We ate at fantastic restaurants up and down Elmwood Ave all within two miles of the home. We also enjoyed playing the plethora of board games in the evenings. Thanks for the memories!

We arrived a tad early, but the cleaning persons were very nearly done and we were in quite shortly. There was a snafu as the door code was wrong, but Brita on the phone straightened that out immediately. The upstairs unit is quite large, 3 bedrooms and another bed with charming sitting room and 1/2 bath up one floor from that. The weather was a bit cool, but was eventually warm enough to dine out on the front porch patio which was delightful. The two bedrooms in back also open to a sitting area which, had we warmer and drier days, would have been quite nice. The kitchen's microwave was recently out of service, but that did not pose a problem since we had a drip coffee maker and supply of coffee provided. Also, there was a modest supply of spices and ingredients that were at our disposal which was useful for the little cooking we did. For the 6 of us adults the place was quite roomy with a nice large dining room with big table. We were a block and a half from a Tops grocery store which was very handy. The neighborhood is what I would call transitional, the old, not cared for places being taken over and fixed up by apparently new owners. In spite of a few neighborhood eyesores, we felt quite safe walking around our neighborhood. We walked to a new brewery was just a few blocks away that had a rather upscale clientele which was another sign of the direction the area is taking. Our days found us walking a great deal just to see the gorgeous architecture from bygone days, one day walking at least 10 miles. Brita's place is a real classic, beautifully restored, spacious, a little arty and a total delight to visit. We lacked for nothing as far as amenities. I would happily visit again and urge anyone going to Buffalo to stay here.

Could not have been better
Plenty of space, all of the 3 downstairs bedrooms are very nice, clean, the attic/up-up upstairs is a spectacular gathering place. We were in Buffalo to support 4 friends who were running the Buffalo Marathon on May 27. Being from Cleveland, Ohio, we watched Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs, CAVS vs Celtics upstairs. The upstairs has a very large TV, it's own AC, comfortable furniture, a mini-fridge, all in a large space - made for a super place to watch the game!! Upstairs there's also a queen bed, a twin bed and nice half bath. The kitchen has everything you need from international spices, sugar, coffee filters, every appliance you could want including items like a crockpot. The upstairs porch with table, chairs, umbrella and a grill was another great gathering place.

Great Location
This apartment accommodated the group that we had perfectly. It is in a part of town that will get you anywhere in little time. We were in Niagra Falls in about 20 minutes and only a few minutes from downtown Buffalo. The house was very comfortable and the upstairs loft was very cozy. We needed to get in early and the owner was more than willing to allow our request.
