The staff were very friendly and efficient. Bar staff pleasant we ate in the bar in the evening and food was good. The breakfast lady was amazing and couldn't do more for you and served a decent breakfast
We didn't get room that was in photo when we booked. We booked a deluxe room with a sea view. The room was tiny, only one bedside cabinet extremely warm window didn't open. Extractor fan in the bathroom doesn't work. Light fitting in room hanging off. No hairdryer which was advertised to have in the room. Cleanliness overall not great. It is an old building and we expected it to be in need of attention. But it's unacceptable to not get the basics right

What did I like...NOTHING
What did i like, NOTHING, no running water in the shower, 3 part used toilet rolls, the bed was so uncomfortable i considered sleeping in the car., the rooms only get made up when the guest leaves, sign on the door saying food served from 12 noon until 10pm, after finishing work at 8pm i was told no meals available.

Staff were friendly, room was clean and great location.
Breakfast started at 8.30am and my ferry was at 8 so was unable to have breakfast. No wifi in the room and the room was very tired. Needs a revamp in my opinion.

Breakfast was simple but nice
The window in the room could not be opened. The bathroom door would not stay closed. Shower had some mould. Extractor not working. No wardrobe

The location, plentiful parking outside, adjoining bar, room size, beds, view from our family room, breakfast and the lady serving breakfast was very helpful and approachable.
Our shower only worked briefly, so by the time I tried to shower there was no water left over! I heard other guests complaining about this at breakfast so hopefully it was an external issue rather than an regular occurrence.

Room wasn't bad.pretty basic for a suite.matress not best
Checked in and things were looking good.went down to the bar for a couple of drinks and a meal but felt the staff were more interested in a blether with each other rather than serving.ended up leaving after 1 drink.
Got up next morning expecting breakfast at 9 am as that was the time slot given at check in.went down at 9am,everything locked up.went down at quarter past 9.breakfast area and bar both locked up.as I had to leave at 10 I had no choice but to head elsewhere for breakfast.not good as I booked looking forward to it.

Ideal location and breakfast was lovely.
The shower screen fell off and hit my friend- scarcely an apology from staff, not offered another room so couldn’t shower in the morning . No bulbs in lamps, no duvet on a bed and 1 rubbish toilet roll for a room with 4 people,

Room was basic but Good comfortable beds. Clean. Couple of room issues reported and dealt with quickly and efficiently by staff. Good choice at breakfast and all very tasty. Nice wee bar with open fire. Close to the Marina where we were going for dinner. Was all as we expected and we were pleased all round.

I needed convenient and reasonably priced accommodation in Troon. The hotel provided this.
The hotel is old. This means it has character but it does not have the appearance/ambience of a Premier Inn (or similar).

It was lovely and clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The breakfast bar could have had a bit more choice. Maybe some cereals.

It's ok, just some old rooms above a pub.
Pretty dated, felt old.

Very dated needs a facelift

The Bar and the food. The location was within walking distance of our cruise check-in.
The room was described as de-luxe double room with sea view, It was shabby and very small for two persons. It had no storage and the bathroom door caught on the bed when opening.

Good breakfast
Size of room
I had to fix the hot water supply and bedroom windows close with a thud too quickly cutting my wife’s thumb.
We should have been informed in advance that kitchen closed at 8pm when in fact website said till 10pm.

Convenient location
Room very poorly maintained. Bed was on a sloping floor so constantly felt like I was about to roll out. Bathroom was dirty.

Location. Breakfast ok.
Hotel a little dated. Needs updating. Plumbing needs sorting. Everytime you flushed toilet it rattled and made noice which went right through the hotel. Beds a little small.

Staff were lovely very friendly and helpful sat in the quirky bar for a few drinks which was lovely had food was delicious hot and fresh as was breakfast in the morning. Bed was comfy and bedding clean.
Room needed a lick of paint walls were marked bedside cabinet in room had lots of large white watermarks on it dusty and cobwebs hanging from ceiling shower needs a good clean too no curtains on the window either people passing can see in

The location was excellent. The bedroom was spacious and had views over to Arran.
The breakfast was worst I have experienced in many years. There was no cereal, no fruit - fresh or tinned, no brown bread. The hot food was tasteless. It was very poor value for the a room costing £115 per night.

We arrived at the check in time only to be told that there was no room. We had rang twice and emailed once before arrival but the calls weren't answered and email. They didn't seem sorry at all and just blamed booking.com
I would not risk staying here as we then had to find somewhere else to stay meaning we missed part of the event that we came to Troon for.

The staff were excellent absolute stars. Very attentive and trying their best to help with everything could not be happier with them. Very accommodating and helpful.
The room was disappointing to say the least. There was dust which isn't good for children with asthma. Had to get the manager to open the windows, I think they were broken because it was just held open with a wooden stand.

Nothing!!!
Not as advertised. Small room with a window we could not close, winter in Scotland. Bathroom vas mouldy and filthy broken tiles, taps on the sink were alien to each other,, needed painting, decorating. Bed was tiny for 2 people., mattress was filthy, final straw so we went elsewhere. Paid 207 pounds for 2 nights and it being new year we paid double that at another hotel luckily they had toom. We are very disappointed with booking. Com. We are frequent users of your site, so perhaps a refund of some sort. We were in the Anchorage for less than 30 minutes and we suggest you remove them soon as possible. We are taking further action.

We had a late check in and was not a problem, our room was big. Our breakfast was good and Diane was superb.
Take the TV out of the right hand corner of the wall, and move the couch away from the radiator.
9.0 / 10.0
The staff are amazing. Kelly, Andrew and Diane to name a few always make sure we have a great stay. Food is fab with good size portions.
The quality of the rooms sadly let the Anchorage down.
