About this house rental
Welcome to our East Pensacola Heights “Flamingo Pad”. A two-bedroom, one-bath cottage that features lots of natural light and original hardwood flooring. Bring along your four-legged friends - they are sure to enjoy the large, fenced backyard while you relax in our patio furniture and enjoy the gas grill! My brother is the gardener. If you enjoy organic veggies, fruits, etc I can arrange a tour of his pride and joy, located directly behind the Flamingo Pad. Just minutes from Downtown Pensacola where we’re known as the “Festival City of the South”, there is always something to do. With easy access to I-110, be sure to head over to Pensacola Beach and Naval Air Station while you’re here!
East Pensacola Heights is a fantastic neighborhood to walk, run, bicycle. People are friendly. We have Apple Market grocery, New Your Deli, Magnolias and Jerry's (southern cooking). Walking distance to Texar Bayou, to view beautiful sunsets.
This is my personal home, with a Doxie in residence. However, we will not be here when you have reserved the home. Complete fenced in back-yard makes us dog friendly! Huge garden "Food Forest" behind home, belongs to my brother. My Home is Your Home!
Contactless check-in. Don't hesitate to contact me, if you need anything. When I am in town, I will be staying in the mom's home directly behind this cottage.
One bedroom is locked off, as it is used for a home office. The rest of the home is all yours, no sharing with anyone else.

My friend and I stayed at the Flamingo Pad for a short weekend sewing retreat. The house had the space we needed for our sewing projects and was overall clean. There were a few small downsides, which are to be expected when renting a private property, that potential renters might want to know about. The hot water ran out quickly and one of the beds was so firm it was very difficult to sleep in. Despite this it was an overall good experience.

Older but very cute beach bungalow. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water. TV in living room only. Hostess provided a nice bottle of wine and advised us that early check in was available. A few blocks from Pensacola Bay. Very happy with my stay.

This was a great place to stay with two dogs that require a ton of exercise. The fenced in yard and friendly dog neighbor was great for my dogs as well as the nearby parks and dog friendly beaches. We had a fantastic time and will come again!

This is a beautiful home. Very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is very nice, and very nice neighbors. We really enjoyed our stay. We will stay again when we come back. I also recommend visiting Cindy's brother's home and touring his organic garden. It was awesome!

What we loved the most about this property was its location. Everyone knows Pensacola has great beaches, but Pensacola has so much more to offer. The beautiful old magnolia, pine and oak trees line the streets. There are beautiful old homes and historic sites.
This property was warm and cozy. It was an easy walk to few great places to eat. The owner provided great communication. We hope to be returning to this property in the not too distant future. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Met our expectations. We were previously Pensacola residence and very familiar with this area. VRBO home was as advertised. Cynthia was 100% on top of communication and assistance. Her brother lives behind the property and was very pleasant to talk to and was especially helpful after I broke the entry door lock key =) . Had a nice backyard to hangout with grill and patio heater, but we didnt get a chance to utilize it. We were able to enjoy the kitchen after shopping at Joe Patti's seafood. Best part was proximity to Agapi restaurant! Would stay here again.

Fast and easy communication with the owner. Cute, cozy cottage that was close to hospital where I had a family member at. In a neighborhood with a church and school so felt safe.

This is a must stay for someone who is not looking to stay in the craziness of the beach hotels or rental houses. Your just minutes from the beach and outer Island. Very close to great restaurants and bars that the locals go to. The neighborhood is very very quite and safe.

Truly enjoyed out stay. It was so nice to be able to take our pups with us. The back yard is perfect for the pups and relaxing. It has a firepit to build a fire and a grill for the steaks. Loved the colors and the theme inside the house. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need to cook with. Everything was clean and comfortable. Communication and ease of check in and check out was a breeze. Will definitely be booking again in the near future. Cynthia, if you ever decide to sell it, let me know. Great getaway place. Thanks so much.

The location of this property is perfect! A nice quaint coffee shop right around the corner and plenty of eateries nearby. We had a couple of small issues, but the owner was fantastic/quick in fixing them and had top notch communication throughout the process. She then offered for us to stay in a nearby property if we wanted to leave while the issues were addressed. I'd definitely recommend this property/owner to any friends or family!

We enjoyed our stay! We wanted a place that was dog friendly (including a fenced-in yard for our 2 pups) and conveniently located to Pensacola Beach and downtown and we got it! Very easy check-in process. Everything we needed. Thank you for a nice stay! We would stay here again.

Perfect quaint location to Downtown. Loved the dog friendly environment and large back yard to convene at the end of a tennis day. Will stay again for the next tournament!

Very close to everything. It is in a very quiet neighborhood. The cottage brought back a lot of good childhood memories of growing up on the beach. Our pup loved going to the dog beach each day. Thank you for sharing your home.

This is the second rental property from Cynthia. We enjoyed both. The flamingo pad was clean and cozy. Beds were comfy. Fenced yard was great for the dogs. It’s nice not having to pack linens and towels, pots and pans. Check in is very smooth and all info needed is provided in a binder. Wish this one had a washer and dryer as we packed very light expecting to be able to do wash. Not a big deal though. Would stay here again. Neighborhood is quiet too.

This house is a charming & cozy bungalow. It is an old house and some things were expected. For example, the bathroom door was a little warped and difficult to close. To us, that was no big deal. However, the door was too short and didn’t reach the top of the frame. It was about 1.5” from the top of the frame. The bathroom sink and tub had been resurfaced at some point. Both were badly scratched. The worst thing was the black mold in the tub area and the window. There was something green growing on the window. The air conditioner is VERY LOUD but worked quite well. We had no trouble sleeping with the noise.. The bottom sheet on the bed had pilled all over. Fortunately there were other sheets available. Plenty of bed linens and towels were available. The owner did state that more would be delivered if needed. The outside was overgrown and in need of attention. The owner does allow pets which is nice. We decided not to bring our puppy. There was plenty of space for a dog in the yard. There was even a leash and dog bell at the home. Overall, our stay wasn’t a bad. The house had everything we needed. The only thing that really bothered us was the condition of the bathroom.

Charming, quiet neighborhood
Nice, charming, clean home. Quiet neighborhood and great location, close to everything.
Only two issues - should have a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide detector since there are gas appliances and a furnace
Also mattresses could be updated as well as the furniture.
But overall a nice place

Great time in Pensacola!
Stay was exactly what we hoped for! Backyard is enclosed, so easy to deal with our small dog. Easy to cook in, tons of space. Great stores and restaurants around! Scenic 90 is great, Apple Market is terrific. Wish the weather would've cooperated more!

We enjoyed our "Flamingo Pad" stay!
This was a comfortable place to stay. Very close to Pensacola Beach, but you will need to get a SunPass transponder or pay toll to get to the beach or you can pay by mail (which will be more expensive). Cynthia was very responsive to all of our needs and was available for any assistance we needed.
Just a heads up for the ladies...there is a hair dryer on the property, but it is really weak. I would suggest that if you are able to, bring your own!
Otherwise, all is good.

Spacious and welcoming!
We really enjoyed our stay! The host was welcoming of our family and pets and very responsive with every communication! We had family staying nearby and our place definitely was better for comfort and entertainment and a more welcoming atmosphere. There was a grill and fire pit, a fenced in yard for the kids to play and multiple tables with space to eat and play card games! Plenty of household items, everything needed in the kitchen, and toiletries. A great home away from home! Conveniently located to the beach, the convention center for my nieces cheer competition, and grocery stores. Can’t wait to return in the future!

Little house
Older house but still good for the price. Bathroom could use some touch up work. Bathroom sink drains slow.

Nice House With Amazing Host!
We had an excellent experience staying at this home. Much more convenient than a hotel room! Dogs loved the fenced in back yard! The beds were VERY comfortable, even the coach provided a comfortable bed. Cynthia is an amazing host. Very friendly and willing to help out in any way. Her brother lives behind the home - we enjoyed talking to him about his garden and Florida flora. We had a 15 minute drive to the beach, but that didn’t really bother us.
Tip: Check out Cafe 90 a block away from the house. Amazing omelette for breakfast! They always gave us take out coffees when we left.

Wonderful stay
Cindy is very responsive, friendly, accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet and close to attractions we were interested in. The highlight for our dog was the great fenced in yard. After so many miles of travel (from Wisconsin) in the backseat it was perfect for exercise.

Flamingo cottage
This is a cozy place in a quiet neighborhood. It was easy to connect to the main road. It had a vintage vibe with a cute flamingo theme. Had the weather been warmer we would have taken advantage of the grill and backyard. Nice place for a small group.
