Spacious house with stunning views, retro beachy style, and good amenities. Loved the game room, beach access, and overall vibe. Would stay here again!

We are three generations gathering from three states. The Pebble at Sunny Cove was a great choice. Great location, quiet neighborhood, lots of space to spread out or gather together. The kids really enjoyed the game room and the boogie boards! Thank you!

The house was perfect for a large family gathering. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of 5 for the accuracy of listing was it could sleep way more than 8! The check in process wasn't hard but it would be very nice to be able to go directly to the home instead of having to go to office to get the keys. Especially when your flight comes in late and all you want to do is get to the house. They were very kind and helpful overall! Would stay here again!!

Overall, we all really enjoyed our stay at this house. Our only comment is there were spider webs inside and outside of the property. Other than that, everything we needed was at our fingertips (ie. plates, silverware, appliances). Close access to a small beach was wonderful! We would love to stay at this property again.

Great stay property exceeded expectation a quick still to the best beach in Santa Cruz

Very comfortable, all the comforts of home with large windows to view the ocean and let in the light. Large rooms to hang out in and play games. Game room with pool table and ping pong table. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was a great place to use for a team creative trip. Right by the ocean, and the house itself is super cool if you are into retro beachy architecture. Would def stay here again.

I loved this 70's beach house, with so much room and tons of beds. The game room with the pool table and the ping pong table were a hit. The 2 separate living spaces upstairs makes it feel like you aren't all on top of one another. The only feedback I would give are that while there are ample supplies, a lot of the kitchen stuff is outdated. Dishwasher is subpar, coffeemaker is small and the toaster is wonky. Small issues that do not ruin the overall charm.

Great place to sleep, cook and eat together before we did our half Iron Man there in Santa Cruz!

Mixed in one!

Weekend at the beach
This place is located in a great area. Across the street you see the ocean and down the street you can hike down to the ocean. The furniture is outdated in the home but is kept good and is really cool to see old furniture like this. The home is set up to separate the kids from the parents which is nice and it provides all the games pool table and ping pong table. We had a wonderful time. I'm definitely would use this house again.

Beach with all boys
We had a wonderful time. Home is very clean & location is great. Beds are a little hard for those of us older folks. Plenty of space. We had myself, husband and our for boys ranging in age 16-24.

Great Location
We had a wonderful vacation! Just steps from the ocean view and the super fun surfers. The furniture is a bit dated and funky, but it has a great relaxed vibe. We walked to the beach, Starbucks, and local market/deli. The kitchen is well stocked with a wonderful oven and everything you need for a covid friendly vacation.

Pictures are not accurate for views
We were expecting ocean view from the great room and were deceived by the very outdated pictures. All the homes surrounding this property have been built up, way up and you can no longer see beach nor reach Blacks Beach without a car as access has been blocked off from this home. You only get a glimmer of water ( not beach) from back deck now. So we felt we paid for view but didn’t get. Also downstairs bedrooms now have a bunk and two twins in each room. So they’re tight but listing still only calls for sleeping 8. Would sleep 8 in two norms downstairs alone. Watch for breaking your baby toe on the bunk ladders. That being said, it’s a great mid century home, which we really loved! It’s equipped as far as kitchen goes better then any I’ve seen! You can see this home has been loved for its whole life! Internet was pretty good. There’s a picnic table upstairs off great room with bbq. No deck chairs anymore as pics show on back deck. Bring your beach chairs if you want them. There were two bikes ( we didn’t use). It’s very quiet and safe neighborhood. During day there’s lots of building on houses behind. Soon, that new home in back will take away any privacy when you want to open up and take advantage of the gorgeous floor to ceiling windows in great room. Houses will be looking straight in to back deck and kitchen/ sitting area. But we loved the home, it was serene and perfectly Capitola ! Kitchen was updated and wonderfully done. Maintains the mid century feel and look!

Large Spacious Home
Kitchen was well-equipped and appliances were excellent. We were disappointed in the back deck outdoor seating, as the chairs were falling apart. The front deck was fine. Ocean views are limited due to construction. Area is lovely and access to beaches is good.

Could be great...BUT LESS THAN GOOD
Could be a great VRBO, excellent location! I am a VRBO owner and want to be very careful not to be only negative with my comments as that is easy to do. This place is in a great location!! It has been well used and its dated with very run down furniture. That could be fine and charming in itself but not what we expected. The space wasn't very clean and we had to wash all of the dishes and utensils before using. The Bar-B-Q was filthy and front deck chairs need repair or replaced. The property management company blamed VRBO for listing that a hair dryer was included when it wasn't. They also blamed the last renters for the dirty dishes. All issues are easy to address and not costly for this owner. $700 per night would be the correct amount to charge if it was clean and updated......As it is now I wouldn't recommend renting to a family....its a better fit for 8-10 young students that want to have a party getaway.

Convenient, spacious, lovely location
We were a group of 7 adults, and this was a great solution for us. The house is indeed spacious! We took advantage of the beach access everyday. And it's very convenient for shopping, going out to eat, etc. The house had everything we could possibly want. We will try to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful home perfect for two families with kids
This was the perfect house for my first trip to California. Such cool, retro and casual style. It checked all of my boxes for sure. The property has lovely flora and gets visited by a lot of avian fauna.
The house faces east-west and has patios at both ends, so you can let the breeze from the ocean blow right through the house, and control the temperature based upon time of day by just cracking the east door a little more or a little less. Watch the sun set on the west patio while you enjoy the view of Santa Cruz’ three beaches, and then come watch the moon rise on the east patio. Santa Cruz in July may be earth’s best weather. Cool mornings and sunny, warm afternoons.
It was the perfect sized house for our two families. The whole first floor was the domain of our kids, who loved the game room.
The kitchen is well-appointed for a beach house. Lots of stuff here. The property manager was generous with the towels and very helpful. The shower has great water pressure. I wish my shower worked that well.
Did I mention how beautiful this property is?
Minor quibbles:
- there could be better lights in some rooms.
- couldn’t figure out the TV
- internet connection is un-great, but there’s a Starbucks w/ google fibre a block away
- my bed was firmer than I prefer. YMMV.
- It would be nice if the property used the lock-box system of key exchange. Driving to the property manager for keys is a minor inconvenience.
