When we arrived, the apartment was easy to find and not too far from the car park. You can arrange a car Park permit for the week when you arrive. We parked in the first car park you come to as you come into Mevagissey. It cost us £40 for the whole week. We always had a parking space when we needed one. The apartment was modern spacious and well decorated. The wet room had underfloor heating and was beautifully designed. There was a sofa bed in the the lounge which was very comfortable. There was an air conditioning unit the lounge which was really useful in the heat. The main bedroom was very comfortable and the bed was made very welcoming. The kitchen was lovely with literally everything you needed. There isn't a freezer but it does have a good sized fridge. There was clear and precise instructions for everything in a well presented folder. Overall the apartment was a brilliant find and we thoroughly enjoy staying there and would definitely return for another holiday. The only frustration we found was the traffic that goes past the frontage. There is a porch which we found useful.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
Dave, Jayde and Harry.

Family break cut short
The property itself is lovely, well appointed, clean, with everything you wanted.
The downside with the apartment is that you can hear every step taken upstairs in the apartment above. At times it felt like we were staying under the stage at a riverdance performance or a heard of wildebeest running past on safari. Conveyed the noise issue to the owner but wasn't interested.
My main criticism of the apartment is that it's not really big enough for 4 people to sleep in. The living room has 2 sofa beds, the instruction is to use the larger one, which when out leaves little or no room, as my partner found out to her expense. The furniture was arranged as instructed and as she got out of bed she tripped over the table banging her foot on the metal framework on the sofa bed. The result was a broken ankle in 2 places. So if you use the sofa bed be careful.

Fantastic stay! Thank you!
We have had a lovely stay at the Old Shop Apartment. It was our first stay in Mevagissey although not our first visit. We loved being just 200 yards from the harbour and being able to wander down with a coffee and sit admiring the view.
The apartment was immaculate and had been decorated with flair in a lovely soft palette of duck egg greens and violet. The walls appeared freshly painted and the kitchen was very well equipped.
Parking in the Willow Lane car park was 3 mins walk away and very easy to arrange a weekly pass.
From our base in Mevagissey we enjoyed Pentewan Sands with our 13 year old son who tried Paddle Boarding, Heligan is a sub tropical paradise and St Mawes just 30 mins drive away on the lovely Roseland.
The north coast is also easily accessible.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

Quite trouble free getaway
The apartment was clean and fresh. Everything we needed was provided. A warm welcome was waiting for us as usual - flowers and cream tea.
Both beds are comfortable. The bed settee is easy to operate - pulling out and putting away.
Car parking is convenient with a sensible price, all arranged for us.
The harbor is a short walking distance with plenty of shops and restaurants. We love sitting up on the hill and looking down on the village.

Beautifully presented apartment in an excellent location.
The Old Shop is a great place for a couple to stay. Being located a short walk from the centre of the village, harbour etc is most convenient. A bonus is being able to park literally a few seconds walk away from the car park, available at very reasonable cost.
The apartment was perfectly clean, very well equipped and feels like it would also be a cosy bolt-hole out of main season. Overall, highly recommended.

what a super apartment.everything you need is here. John and Kate have thought of it all. A real home from home feel. Car park right on your doorstep, shops and harbour less than five minute walk and some of the most friendliest folk ever to meet. Mevagissey is a lovely working harbour with plenty of places to eat, drink and relax. Plenty of lovely walks to marvel at spectacular views, easy access to other places. Overall 10 out of 10.

Location Location Location
This is a lovely little apartment equipped with everything you will need for your holiday. Was spotlessly clean and modern throughout. The location of this apartment is key being a 5 minute stroll to the lovely harbour at Mevagissey and less to shops , pubs and restaurants...try Salamander and Roovray for great food...also great for days out to the wonderful beaches on the Roseland and other lovely coves and gardens Cornwall has to offer

Lovely Old Shop Apartment
A special place to stay in Mevagissey. Apartment was fitted out with care and with attention to detail. The owners Kate and John made us feel very welcome, leaving flowers, milk, tea and coffee. They arranged car parking for the week (car park was literally a stone's throw away). They also kept us informed with everything we needed to know before we arrived and were only too happy to help if we required any assistance. Only a few hundred yards from the harbour, museum of Mevagissey, shops, chemist, cafés and restaurants. We had a quiet relaxing week and we are going back in November as we loved it that much!

Idyllic apartment in prime spot
Thoroughly happy with our wonderful break away. The apartment had lovely character, with all the modern conveniences needed and was thoroughly clean. There were 4 of us and we had enough space not to be in each other's way. Although we didn't need them, as we were out every day, there were lots of DVDs and games in case the weather had taken a turn for the worst. It was so easy to get parked with week's pass and we were an incredibly short walk from all the wonderful shops, restaurants and from the harbour itself. I suppose the only thing we may have missed is a personal outside area to sit in the sun, but we answered that by either opening the front doors and sitting looking out, or we took a short walk to the top of the cliff/hill. One minor suggestion I may make is a small freezer of sorts so that you could have ice in your cider bought from Healey's, but then again, you could just pop to up the road to pub instead. We felt so very welcomed by John and Kate and would happily stay again. Thank you both so very much.
