We truly enjoyed this very unique experience. The villa + additional house were comfortable for 3 big families and the pool and the views were spectacular. Highly recommend it!

La maison est très bien pour un groupe d'amis! Nous avons passé de merveilleux moment. A savoir, que la maison est située dans les hauteurs donc il fait toujours un peu plus frais que sur la côte! Seul bémol, le chien enfermé dans une cage toute la journée... les aboiements peuvent gêner mais c'est surtout de le savoir enfermé qui nous a embêter. La piscine est très agréable. Chaque chambre à sa petite salle de douche ce qui est très confortable. La vue est incroyable!! La maison se situe dans les vignes, pas de voisinage, vraiment top! Merci!

The pool is the main feature of this home, which has an amazing view and is super clean (they clean it quite regularly and did so even throughout our stay which we really appreciated). It overlooks the vineyards and has an infinity edge! The annexe house is a super cute home to be in. However, the main house is a lot older than it looks in the photos which we weren't expecting. It is a very old home that is quite worn down with old showers, but the view outside and surrounding areas make up for it. There are lots of bugs in the area as you're quite high in mountainous areas (view of Etna is amazing!) so take bug spray! Also, towels are changed weekly so bring your own towels if you stay longer, as we had to keep washing them over for pool use and shower use. Overall, the view is amazing but do bear in mind that the house is old. Also, they require ID checks on day of check in. This was difficult and an annoying thing to do for 17 of us who arrived so make sure you have this ready before the trip.

Wow: Mehr fällt mir einem beim ersten Anblick nicht ein. Die ganze Anlage ist traumhaft schön, der Blick sowohl zum Ätna als auch nach Catania atemberaubend und alles ist sehr schön gepflegt. Mit unserer großen Gruppe aus zwei Familien mit insgesamt sieben Kindern war diese Unterkunft genau richtig. Das absolute Highlight war der gigantische Infinity-Pool, von dem die Kinder noch immer jeden Tag schwärmen. Ideale Ausgangslage für Ausflüge zum Ätna und dem Osten Siziliens - und es gibt einige tolle Weingüter in der Umgebung!

Our family of 12 had a fantastic stay at Eremos Sant Emilia. It was perfect for us. The pool and the garden were a highlight, absolutely stunning with great views of the towns and sea below and Mount Etna above. The house has everything you need, with 4 spacious bedrooms in the main house and 2 in the Annex. There were also plenty of living spaces, which was appreciated with such a big group. The family that run the Villa were great, very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend.

Perfekt opphold Med leiebil så er denne plassen perfekt for hvem som helst. Helt fantastisk fin plass. Bildene lyger ikke. Kort vei med leiebil til 2 flotte små landsbyer (5-10 min). Veldig behjelpelig eier med familie. Anbefales på det sterkeste.

Tolles Anwesen und sehr schöne Lage inmitten der Weinberge. Die Villa selbst hat 5 Schlafzimmer mit jeweils eigenen Bädern, einen Waschraum, Aufenthaltsraum mit Super WIFI, einem schönen Wohn- und Essbereich. Das Highlight ist natürlich der Pool und der gesamte Garten, der viele schöne Ecken zum Verweilen hat. Der Blick auf den Etna hinter dem Haus ist auch top. Durch die Berglage war es oft diesig und wolkig, obwohl das Wetter eigentlich gut angesagt war - kann nicht sagen, ob das immer so ist. Ansonsten alles top, würden immer wieder hier absteigen.

The setting is fantastic. A few updates to kitchen utensils would help. The pool was a little on the cool side but what a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine and a book or just take in the view! The wifi internet was interrupted/damaged by a thunderstorm and on the third day the dishwasher stopped working. The owners were very quick to resolve these issues and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. One small issue ( which is out of the owners' control) is there are a lot dogs on neighbouring properties who tend to bark through the night. Ear plugs took care of this.

Eremo Santa Emilia old monastery is a wonderful place with its own soul and one of the most gorgeous and breathtaking views you can imagine in Sicily. It is spacious, each of the room has a separate bathroom and the door outside; the kitchen is well equipped, there are several places where you can enjoy your meal outside. I recommend ordering the dinner- we had welcome rustical one and also seafood dinner, what with their local wine makes a wonderful evening with stunning view over Catania. Swimmingpool is perfect for kids, it also has a jacuzzi for adults. The outside garden is another great thing- the grass is so perfectly kept so we could play with young kids without worrying that they could hurt themselves. The Trecastani shops and restaurants are within 3-5 min drive. It is also a good localization for trekking at Etna- we did it several times for sunrise. Overall the place is much better than it looks on the photos and we recommend it truly!

This is a superb villa ! The pool is fabulous but really it is the location and whole set up that makes this a magical spot for a holiday! Highly recommended. ????

If you're looking for a stunning location with amazing views and amenities, this is it. I stayed here for a family holiday of 10 people and it fit us just right. I would recommend the local winery Vini Eudes for a tour - it's a ten minute walk from the property. I would also recommend hiring a car if you stay here as there is very little public transport. 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a spacious property for a secluded getaway.

The villa is in such a beautiful location with stunning views of both Mount Etna and the coast. It is quite isolated so a car is a must. That being said, the villa is very well equipped for cooking, laundry etc. so as long as you're well stocked you'll be fine!

This is the best villa I have ever stayed at! The pictures don’t do it justice. The pool is amazing and the grounds have everything you need. We came as a group of 16 and it was more than big enough. We will definitely be coming back.

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche zu elft (11 erwachsene Personen) in diesem Anwesen verbracht. Dadurch, dass jedes Zimmer ein (sehr kleines) Bad hat, war der gemeinsame Aufenthalt sehr entspannt. Wir haben die Ruhe dort sehr genossen. Das Haus ist tatsächlich so, wie auf dem Internet-Auftritt abgebildet. Der Pool ist einfach wunderbar und der Blick aufs Meer fantastisch. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt. Natürlich ist ein Auto erforderlich. Der nächste Ort ist eine ca. 20 Minuten entfernt. Dort gibt es Lebensmittelgeschäfte und einen kleinen Supermarkt. Zu den Sandstränden bei Catania fährt man ca eine Stunde. Man ist aber immer wieder froh, in die Ruhe in den Weinbergen zurückzukehren. Wir werden sicherlich einmal wieder kommen.

We were traveling with two families of 4, plus my mother-in-law. Kids ages were 6, 8, 16 and 18. This villa is the perfect sicily experience. The driveway is a little hard to find. the street number is spray-painted on the wall. also, there are two security gates to get in. Have the phone number for the property manager upon arrival to call to get in. Because it is an active vineyard, there are grounds people daily tending to the area. They are very nice and helpful if needed. We loved walking the grounds to see the vineyard. The roses and flowers among the grounds are very well kept. The views of both Mt. Etna and the city are spectacular. One night we were able to see a lava flow from Mt. etna from a recent eruption. There is even a small cave! (formed from a lava flow years and years ago we are assuming). Utilizing the smaller house as well, we we had more than enough sleeping space and bedrooms. We also ate dinner in the villa every night. The kitchen was clean and functional and we were able to use to heat up food, etc. We usually went into the town and brought back food. None of know how to speak Italian. Everyone in the restaurants, shops, etc. were very nice and we found at least one person in every location that could speak a little english so we could order what we needed to. The eating area inside fit our family. Additionally, there is a large table and eating area one one of the decks. The villa was very clean, keep in mind it is and older home. Some things to consider is the bathrooms (specifically the showers) are kind of small. Coming from the US, were bathrooms and showers are larger, this is something to prepare for. We had a couple larger men (over 6 foot) in our party, and the shower was a little tight. However, there is a bathroom with an open handicap shower area as an option if the shower is too small. Also, the staircases to get up to the roof-deck is very narrow as well. The pool area is very nice, and the grounds-person skims and maintains it daily. There are also bathrooms under the pool which are great as well. We were very happy with our stay here. We have never been to the area before and felt like staying here gave us a local Sicily experience and great quality family time.

We had a lovely stay here. Amazing views from the infinity pool, well kitted out villa. Great cycling with Etna close by. The owner and helpers very friendly too. No hesitation in recommending this for others.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful place with large and nice swimmingpool and all facilities needed for a large family. Good location for several excursions. We were with two families and grandparents and loved the view and quiet place. There were a few things however that didn't suit our expectations: we arrived a day earlier as agreed but could not get any contact with the owner so we had to arrange in the middle of the night a stay over in a nearby hotel. The good thing is that the organisation gave us a refund for the costs we had to make for this night. Furthermore we asked several times to use the bikes but there were no bikes available. And on top of that we were surprised by the arrival every day (!!) during the week of several schoolbuses with young children who made use of the garden for school excursions. We love children and enjoyed their visit during the first day but the coming of those groops every day didn't give us any privacy. While we were staying near the swimmingpool there were at least 30 children and their teachers watching us...

Beautiful, comfortable house, located in a vineyard on a hillside with stunning views and a hudge swimming pool was a great surprise for us. The description does not fully reflect the beauty of the place. Staff extremely helpful and discreet. We were there 14 people and we had the whole property to yourself. We spent the best week of our Sicilian vacation! We strongly recommend

We had a marvellous holiday the villa was ideal , very clean and tidy with beautiful views over the sea and mount Etna . The staff where very helpful and the pool was kept spotlessly clean and just a lovely place to relax enjoy a great time together for al ages.

We spent a week here, as a party of 11 adults, 1 child and 2 babies, and had a lovely time. The villa (which was pretty easy to find using the GPS coordinates and about 40 mins' drive from Catania Airport) was attractive, clean and well-equipped for families (high chairs and cots provided on request; baby changing unit ready and waiting; plastic cutlery and plates available for children; groceries kindly provided for our arrival by the owner, on request). The owner and the gentleman who looks after the property were courteous and helpful, and maintained the pool immaculately. The villa has particularly lovely outdoor terrace, lawn and seating areas and the pool is terrific. In terms of nearby attractions, it is within an hour's drive of several pleasant places for sightseeing (Taormina, Catania, Aci Castello, Siracusa, the Etna cable car...) and there are supermarkets nearby. 3 minor points of information for others who are thinking of coming here: - While all of the rooms in the main house have en-suites, none of them has a bathtub. This was not a problem for us at all (we used the showers) but is something those with very young babies might want to bear in mind. - Over the edge of the infinity pool (and next to the pool-side shower) is a rather steep drop, so even young children who are capable swimmers or wearing armbands should not be left to swim by themselves. - The wifi is OK but not super consistent in coverage or strength. The above are very minor points and did not detract in any way from our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend the villa to others.

This villa has the potential to be 5star The reason I have rated 4 is for the slight niggles we experienced A 'VillaGuide' would have been helpful with information not only of the local area but of the general functioning of the property i.e. the outside lighting. The lack of air conditioning was a massive issue for our stay when temperatures reached over 38c. Sleep was almost impossible. Leaving doors open at night to try and get some cooler air was not useful as cats came in. Plus incessant barking of dogs didn't help. I completely understand that guard dogs are useful but have to say we all found it distressing that the guard dog for this villa was chained up day and night with just a kennel for shade in the searing heat. Guests need to note that there is no dishwasher in the main villa. The dishwasher is located in the Dependence 100m away. There was no maid service during our stay (in itself was no problem) however due to the heat we would have liked a change of bed lined half-way through our week but there was no fresh linen to be found. The provision of just 2-3 tea towels was nowhere near enough. There were only four sunbeds by the pool. A massive negative as we, as a family spent a lot of time by the pool and sitting on an upright plastic chair was not conducive to a relaxed day. Please supply at least another 4 if not 6 sun loungers! POSITIVES: The villa is fabulous. The exclusivity it offers is wonderful. Bedrooms although small were perfectly adequate. Spacious dining room and lounge. We tended to lunch at the outdoor table which again was plenty large enough for 12 of us and situated in a delightful shady area under trees. Super. The outside areas are where this villa really shines. So much outdoor space! Even a large group can find lovely spots for privacy or peace. The pool is magnificent and wonderful for children and adults. The views from the gardens are spectacular. We asked the owner (an absolute gentleman) if a lunch could be provided for us on arrival and they provided a superb feast!. A truly wonderful and memorable Sicilian meal. He also responded immediately to our request for electric fans to try to combat the hot nights which was appreciated, although only air-con would have worked during our heat-wave stay. Management obviously want to please so if our 'niggles' are seen as suggestions and addressed this villa in my view would without doubt be 5-star and we would love to return.

We had wonderful stay at Eremo Saint Emilia on Mt. Etna, a secret jem of beautiful resort property just 30 minutes drive from Catania airport and 40 from Taormina. When we arrived we were away from crowds of town and we thought we were going to see Ulysses and the Cyclopes coming down from the top of the smoking Volcano! Simply overwhelming. We checked in very quickly and, later, the owner dr. Francesco took us for a walk around his Sicilian Villa and his surrounding gardens. The apartment had stunning views of Mount Etna and of the eastern coastlines of that part Sicily. The rooms are very well furnished, with very comfortable beds and linens We had wicked scrumptious meals with very high quality local products cooked by an excellent chef who was there for the whole time of our stay... only for us! The whole staff is very in tuned to high quality customer service. The property is very spread out and has a lot of open space for kids to play and a beautiful pool overlooking the volcano and the sea!! We would highly recommend this resort from property condition, staff, comfort of rooms and food! A truly great, unforgettable experience!
