About this cottage rental
Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Suitable for two or three people on business trip, or a family of two parents and two children. Walk to University Avenue with many shops and restaurants. Very close to highway 101.
[The Space]
Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, safe and secure. The house faces San Francisquito Creek (no neighbor across the street). This is a guest house detached from the main house. Please refer to the floor plan picture for details. Private access for the cottage separate from the main house. The cottage is remodeled with contemporary style and expensive material. Concrete tiles and glass mosaic. Industrial woven vinyl floor gives the whole house a clean look. Modern furniture with ample seating. Fully functional and stocked kitchen. Large screen TV with streaming programs to entertain kids. High speed WIFI and two adjustable height work desk are ideal for guests on business. Casper mattresses with all cotton sheets would give you a good night's sleep. Please note the queen bed is in the room with kitchen, sitting area and desk. This means when people from the inside bedroom go to the bathroom, they will be going out of the bedroom and into the living area where the queen bed is.

Only the cottage. No access to the main house or backyard. Parking is shared with the main house on a first come, first serve basis. However, there is plenty of parking space along the street since there is no other house on the other side of the street.

We were so happy here. This lovely accommodation had everything we needed; a kitchen stocked with appliances, dishes, electric tea kettle, blender, etc. , the beds were so comfy, we loved the air conditioning, the neighborhood is peaceful and the decor in the cottage is so pretty. Oh! We loved the electronic desks! So useful!

Location was wonderful and close to Stanford and the restaurants in Palo Alto. Cottage was very clean and well stocked. Host was super easy to communicate with. Would stay here again.

My son and I stayed at the cottage while looking at Santa Clara University, Stanford, and University of San Francisco. The location was perfect for all three. The cottage was tidy and clean, a pleasant place to stay overall. I worked from home while my son went for long runs (he's a distance runner) and found it perfect - great WiFi and working space. Plenty of light and amenities. The home owner was easy to communicate with and responsive. If my son goes to school in the area we will definitely be back!

We were dropping off our son for his first year at Stanford, and so we wanted our last few hectic days together to be perfect. We loved staying here, and hope to do so again when we visit Palo Alto. It is immaculate with very comfy beds and stylish decor. There were places to truly unpack and the bathrooms and kitchen are stocked with everything you would need for a short stay. Tracy was the consummate host: the check-in details and instructions were very clear and she responded to any questions we had quickly and completely. It's in a great location: a converted garage apartment located in a very wealthy neighborhood.

We really enjoyed staying here. The house was just as it is advertised. It was clean and had good light. The kitchen was stocked with all the tools we needed. The bathroom also had many things available that people might forget and need while traveling.
The host was very responsive to my questions at the time of booking and once we arrived. I made a request just prior to checking in that wasn’t part of her normal protocol, but she very kindly accommodated the request.
We will absolutely stay here again when we are in the area.

Really well presented property in super neighbourhood. Lovely touches inside so every need catered for. Very comfortable beds/ nice linens and furnishings. Lots of space for sleeping and living/ relaxing. Nice area to walk around too. Close to many options for food/ shopping and hiking. Would recommend and return for future stays

My husband’s three adult children and grandson stayed in this cottage which is just minutes from our home. The location and convenience worked out to be perfect for a large family gathering at our house.
I will definitely book this property again for out of town guests. I thoroughly recommend it because of its accessibility to Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Stanford.

We had a wonderful stay here over Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving host lived near by and this property could not have been more perfect. Very clean and everything was easy. Great location to downtown and easy to find. Tracy was a great host. We will definitely stay again.

This cottage was the perfect space for our family of 4 (two boys ages 6 and 8). We were able to visit Stanford campus easily, walk to coffee/food down University, and hit the 101 to go to San Jose or San Francisco.
The shower is awesome, too, which is always welcome when you’re away from home.
A little tricky sharing the driveway with the folks staying in the main house, but everyone was friendly.

Very clean cottage; small but nicely appointed kitchen. Keurig coffee provided was a nice touch. Close to restaurants and shops in downtown Palo Alto and a short drive to Stanford Medical. Quiet and safe upscale neighborhood, perfect location!

The cottage is very efficient and quiet -it felt like I was in a nice apartment in Europe - and served as a good work space in addition to being all that was needed for a week's stay by one person. Humble entrance, but nice and big enough space inside! Any house gadgets you’re looking for, i bet there must be in this guest house. Super convenient to stay here. The host Lili was kind and friendly during my stays, with quick response always. Highly recommend!

Great family stay in Palo Alto
My partner and I stayed here with our 4 month old baby and the place had everything we needed. The location was perfect as a base to explore the bay area, and downtown Palo Alto is just nearby. We felt well looked after here and would absolutely stay again.

A gem in a quiet yet close in neighborhood
Love staying at Tracy's place. The place is equipped with all you need for a short stay. Very convenient location with proximity to University Avenue and all the shops / restaurants. We loved walking the neighborhood in the cool morning hours. Definitely plan to book again.

Fabulous cottage in Palo Alto
Great location - within walking distance to downtown Palo Alto and the Caltrain station. The cottage was clean and tidy and very modern - all modern appliances, nice bathroom. Small and functional kitchen with various kitchen appliances (instant pot, toaster oven etc). The neighborhood is really quiet, we didn’t hear a sound from the main house or any neighbors. Overall, a great stay.

This place is excellent! Super clean, modern, and roomy, great neighborhood for walking around, exploring shops, and getting to Stanford. It's a fantastic spot for anything to need to do in Palo Alto. Love the simplicity of the keyless entry, all the amenities in the kitchen, and the super comfy beds. The cottage was perfect for our visit! Tracy anticipated almost every need and was easy to get in touch with when necessary. The neighborhood is quiet and it was easy to get to Stanford as well as various shops and restaurants. We'd definitely stay here again.

Wonderful VRBO near downtown Palo Alto
This cottage is roomier than anticipated. Nice small kitchen, well appointed, comfortable beds, two adjustable desks and a bathroom. Lots of storage and the washer and dryer was a real plus. The neighborhood is quiet, charming, and free parking. Highly recommend!
