Good accommodation for a 1-night stay in Hanoi. The host is friendly and welcoming, and the room is calm and far from the busy street. The price was also very reasonable.
Although we slept well, it's good to note that the mattress was very hard.
There was also no running water in the bathroom in the morning, and the bathroom itself was not super clean.
4.5
The host is quite nice and polite, the room is spacious.
The toilettes is not so convenient and the way to the hostel in the alley, not so convenient. Comparing to the price, that is okay.

What really amazed me is how the owner was so kind, extremely polite, soft spoken, and I guess his love language is "act of service" 🤣🫶
Mineral water, coffee, tea, and even milk is available downstairs. He even gave me his permission to eat his instant noodle and egg!!!
Overall the room was perfect, AC, hot water, hairdryer were functioned properly.
The place is a bit hidden and hard to find, internet was not really good and there's no window so if you prefer room with window, I'm not suggesting you to stay here.

I had an amazing time staying at Nam Dong House. Nam is a fantastic person who not only provided excellent accommodation but also entertained me with delicious Vietnamese food. Moreover, he generously offered me the use of his bicycle for free.
On another note, I wanted to mention that I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation, Alex. It was a pleasure talking to you, and I wish you the best of luck.
Overall, I highly recommend Nam Dong House for a memorable experience.

It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The owner was very kind.
The volunteer staff there was not very welcoming. Also, the place is a bit hard to find, because the address of the alley was different than on Booking.com

Super friendly host
We arrived from the nightbus in the middle of the night and the host let us rest in his living room
A little far from the old quarter but everything you need is close by
Room even has a private bathroom (not mentioned in description)

It was an awesome stay. It's around 3-4 km from the Hanoi old quarter, so quite peaceful. The room was very clean, well maintained and the host was super nice.
Also, since it is a homestay, the host conveyed us not to make loud noises during the night to disturb others.
Nothing.

I had the freedom to use living space and kitchen area. The owner is kind and he offered fruits to me. He helped me about location and other travel related information. There was drinking water facility (hot and cold). No time boundaries for in and out.
It was little challenging to find the house as I reached there in the night but uncle guided me about this.

Very nice room for a very cheap price. The owner is a very kind person who always ready to help. The kitchen has everything you need. Would recommend for either short or long term stay.
Sometimes wifi can be laggy. But nothing too serious.

I personally loved it because Homestay is down an alley in a district with very few tourists. Room was fine, big as was Shower/toilet area. The owner is SO NICE, speaks English as well as couple of other languages. He communicated quickly and left fruit to eat downstairs. Kitchen area to use as well as TV. I would go back for sure.
Only thing for me was that I was carrying a lot of luggage and taxi can only take you to entrance of alley..but it was ok.

The homestay was super clean and the owner was pretty helpful with everything. Tucked in a narrow lane, the place felt comfortable and safe.

We really liked staying here, the owners are very friendly and helpful. We accidentally booked 2 rooms instead of 1 but it wasn't a problem. Also, there was a lot of space for all our luggage, a desk and chair and also a hairdryer. And you have a very good public bus connection to the city Centre from the place. Recommended!
The bathroom was not very clean and also pretty cold.

Very enthusiastic host. He told me about good restaurants nearby and drove me himself to one of them. Very clean and quiet homestay in an alleyway of an authentic neighbourhood. Very good value for yodr money. Absolutely recommend!

It was with a heavy heart leaving this place. Me and my toddler had enjoyed our stay. The owner really made sure that his guests are staying comfortably. Breakfast like rice, fruits and yoghurt for my toddler. The owner greets his guests with tea or vietnamese snacks.

it feels like home. very quiet and my little boy is very happy. it is very comfortable. the owner speaks English well. And he takes care of his guests. there are fruits on the table, coffee, or rice. As cooking is allowed, it is easier for me to do cooking for my son. no need to go out or food delivery.
location. this is the farthest dong da that i know. when we take grab bike was a bit costly.
3.5
The room was clean and had a bathroom inside the room.
Clean towels.
The man let us to leave our bags in the homestay until the afteroon.
Tha mattress was hard.
Difficult to find.
Far from Old Quartier, but you have a bus stop on the street in front of the hostel.
