About this house rental
Finca Buenavista is a 200 year old restored Canarian farmhouse. It has breathtaking coastal views of the South of Tenerife including Los Christianos and Playa De Las Americas. It is set in a peaceful 4000 metre plot near the pretty Spanish village of Arona with all local amenities including supermarket, chemist, post office bank a few bars and restaurants. Yet it is only 15 minutes drive to the coast with its many beaches as well as bars, restaurants and shops and choice of recreational activities including the famous Siam waterpark.There is a twin and double with shared bathroom on the ground floor and a twin and master bedroom on the first floor with a shared shower room. The house is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden with pool, table tennis table, barbecue area and covered pergola with seating for 8 as well as a fire pit for cooler evenings. The house even has its own cave.

The house location is wonderful. However we had ongoing issues with hot water which was scalding all the time and there was no cold water. This was an issue with previous booking according to manager who didn’t readily attend to sort the problem out and in some cases attended the next day leaving us without facility to shower. This stress ruined our holiday

Beautiful spacious villa offering outdoor heated pool. Completely private in picturesque surroundings. Our family group of teens and adults spent the perfect holiday here. Just the treat we all so deserved. Communications were never too difficult. Jim made every effort to help us settle. The location is stunning. Recommend a confident driver in the party and a car hire or use cabs. Only draw back was it wasn't really walking distance to restaurants but that wasn't a problem for us. Recommend booking, one not to miss, we would definitely return. Thanks Julie the owner and Jim for all the tips and help.

We had a week of fabulous weather and super excursions. The house is as descibed in a super location up in the mountain with a fantastic view and equipped with all necessary amenities. The host Jim is very helpful and super friendly. All in all a superb vacation.

The house is very much as described in the listing. It is spacious inside and out, has all of the facilities you need for a great stay. There is plenty of outside space around the pool and gardens which made it perfect for family BBQs. The location is quite remote and taxis into the resort areas are not cheap. We had a good balance of Tim in the property and trips into town

The house is in a private and very peaceful location but handy for roads leading to the coast and up into the mountains. The gardens are a real delight with all sorts of beautiful plants and there's a stunning view down to the coast from the terrace. We enjoyed watching the lizards popping up around the garden. We made good use of the pool. The beds were comfortable, the house was well-equipped. There's even Netflix on the TV.... Arrival was very smooth, Jim met us at the petrol station in Arona to show us the way. Jim lives locally and is available if there are any problems - which there weren't!
Certainly will come here again.

Beautiful villa in a stunning setting.
Quite remote so do need a car - but perfect for us as could relax at the villa or drive to good choice of beaches within 15- 20 mins drive. Also very close to Siam Park which was amazing.
Pool a little cold but this was expected as middle of winter. But we braved it when sun was shining and wind abated.
Many thanks to Jim, who manages the property. He was amazing meeting us after 11pm; showing us around the villa and explaining all about the best of the island.
Overall a beautiful ‘home from home’ - we will most definitely be back!

What an amazing Finca, as previous reviews have mentioned the views are breathtaking, spacious accommodation, amazing gardens with multiple seating areas to soak up the sun and views. Very comfortable beds and quiet location what more could you ask for?

Lovely spacious place to stay for family of 5 adults all 18+ for peace and quiet with fantastic views. Very well equipped. Lovely location but very high up in the mountains which uncontrollably made the weather misty and cold which was a shame for June/July. Poole adequate for our needs unfortunately not able to use as often as we would of liked as it didn't warm up enough because of the cold weather.
Warm welcome from Jim whom thankfully met us and showed us the way to the villa and had lots of suggestions of place to visit and eat.

There was even a bottle of champagne, toys for the kids. James the manager was an angel and gave us so many great tips for exploring the local area. the only place to stay in south tenerife

Fantastic views and quiet location

One of our top experiences renting a house in general (and we tend to do that every holiday).
The house is spacious and nicely furnished and the views are stunning. Also the place is very well kept, really clean and has a great relaxed ambiance. Lots of info about the house, island, many spots where you can relax.
The pool is nice and has solar panels warming it so it was possible to use it in late November :) The air temperature is usually 3-4 degrees lower that in san cristianos.
The contact with both the owner and the manager easy and quick.
Overall a great experience, would love to visit again!

Great central location with airport, siam park, jungle park, beach and large supermarkets all less than a 25 minute drive away. Excellent bus service that took three adults and 20 minutes down to Los Cristianos for under 5 euros.
There's a great local mountain walk to the top of Rouque de Conde which rewards you with fantastc views of southern Tenerife and starts only 10 minutes away from the property.
We were also grateful to Pauline and Phil, who answered all our questions and were happy to share all their local knowledge.

Wir hatten dieses Jahr einen kleineren Autounfall und die Mietwagenfirma war extrem unkompliziert: "Wollen Sie mit dem Wagen weiterfahren? Dann alles gut- Sie haben doch Vollkasko!" - dies war die einzige Aussage ;-) Wer die Zeit seiner Reise wählen kann, wir waren die ersten beiden Oktoberwochen und -vielleicht auch Glück- es war v a in der ersten Woche, deutlich wärmer und klarer als in der Mitte des Monats. So stand in diesem Jahr auch dem ElTeide nichts im Weg und wir kamen in den Genuss einer Festwoche in Arona mit einem fantastischen Höhenfeuerwerk , dass unterhalb unseren Hauses abgeschossen wurde, so dass wir quasi in der Ersten Reihe saßen.

Lovely villa- spacious with everything you need and fantastic views
We had a great time at the villa- the location worked well for us as we didn't want to be in the really touristy areas yet they were only a short drive away (15mins) when we did fancy a trip to Siam waterpark for example (which is amazing!). Views from the villa are breathtaking and the grounds are beautiful. It is a bit cooler than the coastal resorts but that wasn't such a bad thing and it was worth it for the peace and quiet! Villa has everything you need and arona is just down the road which has restaurants and shops etc. Would thoroughly recommend!

Well equipped home with fabulous views
As an adult family group of 8 we found this property very spacious and well equipped. Lots of places to sit and relax inside and out. Table tennis was great for the guys and sun loungers sufficient for us all (although one or two need some repair and could do with one more dining chair indoors). Welcome pack of provisions was very useful. Garden lizards were interesting and kept any insects away. Didn’t use the pool much as we were a little unlucky with the clouds but when the sun was out it was nice and sheltered. Lots of books and films etc provided. The views were spectacular and a walk to the village providing the legs and lungs a good workout. Coffee and huge cake selectionin the Aroma cafe and the Italian restaurant where we met Phil was good. Phil was a really helpful chap and the owner, Julie, also very helpful beforehand. We hired a minibus from Autoreisen at the airport, only about 250 euros for a week that allowed us to follow the sun when it got cloudy in the mountains and to access the national park. Siam water park was excellent and the horse and pony riding at La Camella nearby was great with the English ladies there rescuing horses and doing treks around the locality. Would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely villa in a great location with amazing views.
Excellent communication in the lead up to our stay. We met the local housekeeper who we then followed up to the house, so that was very easy. Great to have someone show us where everything was, give us some recommendations etc And the welcome pack of food was a pleasant surprise.
Julie also provided useful info beforehand. So car hire was through Autoreisen which was cheaper than normal and easy to use. She also recommended Andy Tomkins who leads guided walks all over Tenerife and who we used twice (Masca Gorge, Anaga area) . Worth looking at his website.
The house was well equipped and to a high standard. The outside space was ideal with the different areas providing shade and seating. And good views too.
A useful location as quick to drive down to the coast ( Siam Park, beaches) but also easy to get up to Teide which should be a must for anyone!
You can buy your food supplies in Arona but we also enjoyed eating out; worth mentioning the Aroma Pastel cafe in Arona and the spit roast restaurant in San Lorenzo.
So overall, I'd definitely recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy Tenerife but who also wants a little peace and downtime away from the busy coastal resorts. You get the best of both worlds here!

Stunning property with stunning views.
We were 2 families staying in the property and it was not only very spacious for us but every room in the house was stylish with beautiful and interesting pieces of art around. Everywhere was immaculately clean. The garden too was equally interesting and the pool an added bonus. The 180 degree views were incredible and took in the towns below too. You ideally need a car if you stay at the property, although we did walk to Arona most mornings for a few provisions. Los Christianos and La Capella are not far to drive . The temperature is a few degrees less than down in the towns which can be very welcome on your return. The house too is cool and airy. I would recommend getting about the island in your car as very interesting. Mount Teide a must and Santa Cruz a great place to visit and shop.

Everything you need in a peaceful location
We wanted peace and quiet, and that's what we got! Very relaxing. The Finca is well equipped and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Unfortunately, due to the cloud cover and the wind, it wasn't as hot and sunny as we had hoped so we didn't use the pool or sit outside much when we were there. We spent a lot of time exploring the island though, so were able to catch the sun in other places!

Wonderful Villa
I have to say the photos of this wonderful villa do not do it justice, it's lovely. We had a fantastic holiday and particularly enjoyed the pool. The drive to the villa is a little bit of a challenge but easy once you know where you are going. I can't recommend enough, hope to see you again soon.
