About this villa rental
The Villa, Casa das Tres Palmeiras is on a gentle sloping hillside with gorgeous views overlooking the Bay of Lagos and Palmares golf course. It is approx 2 miles from Lagos. The villa has 4 double bedrooms - 2 are en-suite,1 further bathroom, sitting/dining room and new kitchen. A terrace surrounds 2 sides of the house part of which is covered. The swimming pool is above the house with lovely views over it to the sea beyond. Mina, the maid prepares the bedrooms with sheets, towels and beach towels, prior to your arrival, and comes in during the week to give a spruce up.

We had a great time at this place. Short walk to the beach, close to grocery store and restaurants. It is dated but for us that did not matter. Management team is great and prompt. We loved it and will be back

Having recently had a heart attack, our holiday dynamics changed dramatically as it became more about rest and relaxation for me. This was just the perfect spot, at the far end of Meia Praia beach, lovely and quiet (apart from the neighbours dogs) with great views of the sea and Lagos town. Jenny and the management company were fantastic, we had a couple of minor issues that were sorted immediately. The pool was fantastic, the family spent lots of time in there, and we even had a few games of table tennis. Ultimately, the best compliment I can pay is that we'd love to come back as soon as we can

We all loved the location, view, veranda and the pool. That being said we all agreed that the mattresses need to be replaced with new ones, along with the dining room chairs which were falling apart. We needed to use the pillows from the couches to sitting in the chairs. We were constantly putting the nobles back on the chairs and some of the spindle off the back of chairs. We also had to have some of the locks replace due to not functioning properly. We reported that one of bathroom light need to be replace but after our three weeks stay it still was not done. One of our group members had a large amount of money stolen. We had secured the front gate and we were all at the pool. The day in question day there were two different pool cleaners and the housekeeping service at the villa so we cannot say when or who took the funds. We reported the incident to the manager, but basically received lip service. We found the owner to be a lovely lady who help us though every step of your booking and check-in. However, the villa management team needs to have a more hands on attitude to ensure the villa is maintained to a high standard. We highly recommended the upgrades be completed soonest and that the maintenance is done on a regular basis rather than only as required. Would we stay there again, yes, if things get replaced with new ones and the maintenance if done on a regular basis.

As many have already said the Villa is in great location with excellent views and all the amenities you would want. Nice to have English TV, limited channels but enough. The Villa is Ideal for an extended family, with lots of open space and very homely.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but it didn't go without a couple of issues and as this is an honest report it's only fair to comment on these.
We arrived and couldn't get access at the correct time as the cleaner was still working. We had to kill a couple of hours. Not the owners fault just the previous occupants being inconsiderate and not leaving on time.
I went up to the pool and noticed quite a lot of surface debris. I'm no expert but I put this down to the water lever being too low. The pumps were working but the two openings at the other end which take away the water for filtering and recycling were a couple of inches above the water line so the floating debris had no where to go. The pool man came on Wed, five days after we had arrived, and had to leave a hose topping up the pool for about six hours.
OK so that was the pool sorted, on Tues we had a toilet block up. We contacted that agent who sent a drain man he said the septic tank was full and the agent would need to contact the council to empty it. Until that was done, a total of 4 days, our entire family was advised just to use the very small en-suit off one of the bedrooms. That's 6 adults and 1 child. Anyone needing the toilet at night had to come through our bedroom, not great.
After the tank was emptied it was still blocked and the drain man had to come back. I do feel that a thing like a septic tank should be serviced on a regular basis to avoid the issue of this inconvenience happening when paying guests are there.
Having had these issues the question is would we go to this Villa again, probably.

The house has a perfect location for access to the beach and walking in the neighborhood. We were there with a dog and it was perfect with her. Also the garden is very nice for the dog (it is fully fenced). The house itself has anything you need. The furniture and facilities are a bit outdated, bathrooms are standard of many decades ago (e.g. separate outlets for warm and cold water) and could need some renovation, but it’s ok. The house has no central heating and no A/C and the isolation is not very good. The only heating options are electric heaters and a fireplace (which is cosy). We were there in January so it was quite cold in the house. It needed „heating management“, especially as the old electricity lines do not tolerate more than two heaters running at the same time. But we managed it quite well so the temperature in the house was ok then. The cleaning worked very well. The communication with the owner was also very good and she was very friendly and helpful. The absolute best thing about the house is the view, which is priceless. You have it from almost everywhere in the house. If you accept that the interior standards are a bit outdated, I can fully recommend this house.

We had a wonderful time with our children and grandchildren in the beautiful villa at Christmas. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms there was sufficient space for everybody. The large living room could easily be heated by the fireplace. The grandchildren loved the pingpong table. The views from the living room, bed rooms and veranda are magnificent. There was always a place around the house or swimming pool to enjoy the sun. A long beautiful beach is at 5 minutes walking distance and Lagos 5 minutes by car.

The villa has a beautiful veranda and the pool stunning views of the beach towards Lagos town. Is not new but has characteriser and shall certainly be back.

Great Villa in a great location
Lovely Villa in a great location. 5 minute walk to the beach and train station, or 25 minute walk to Lagos. The villa has everything you could need for a lovely holiday. All the facilities are there and you have privacy from the terraces and pool. Jenny couldn't be any more helpful and the communication is brilliant right down to the directions which are really good. If you want a relaxing holiday with hustle and bustle not far away this place is for you. 2nd stay and will not be the last!

Great location away from touristy areas
Jenny was an excellent host and property manager - when our gps couldn’t find the location Jenny immediately responded with detailed directions. The kids LOVED the pool and ping ping table. Excellent location if you are looking to enjoy the area and avoid the touristy downtown yet is a short drive from everything. Walking distance to a lovely beach.

The perfect beach house
The house is wonderful, light and airy with views across the bay to Lagos and to the sea. The 3 bedrooms facing the sea allow you to drift off to the sound of waves lapping the shore.
The living room has the most amazing views to the coast through three large windows and gives access to the terrace that runs right around the house.
There are so many parts of the house that you can sit and enjoy the location, not least the large pool area above the house. Something else we loved was how many different kinds of birds are living in the trees just outside the house and happy to come and take any crumbs you’ll offer them.
Overall an amazing house in a wonderful location, fully equipped for a very relaxing holiday. It was a pleasure to deal with everyone connected to managing the house, particularly the warm reception we got from housekeeper, Mina. Suitable for a couple or larger group.

Julies Tour
This is an annual trip by to Casa dasTres Palmeiras, as it is the most relaxing place with stunning views, close to the beach and it's fabulous fish restaurants, it is well-equipped as a holiday house, with the private pool, games, table tennis, music.....and the weather was perfect!.......the closest place to Heaven!

Charming villa with beautiful views
Villa is nicely laid out with plenty of space for our party of four adults and three children. The pool area is lovely and set above the house with wonderful sea views. Ample terraces surrounding the property so it is always possible to find somewhere either in or out of the sun. We stayed in February, so not much open nearby; but we expected this. In season there are restaurants and beach bars within a short walk. Beautiful long and sandy beach just a few minutes walk from the villa. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. Plenty of help and advice from the owners and their agent both before and during our short stay. Heartily recommended.

It was a great place to stay - easy to walk down to the beach restaurants for fabulous fish and vinho verde....and 45 minutes to walk along the beach to the Marina. We will certainly go again!

The best position on the Algarve!
3 weeks of wall to wall sunshine, table tennis, swimming, barbeques - easy walk down to the beach bars to enjoy prawns, squid and draught Vinho Verde......what could be nicer!

Perfect location, Perfect Villa, Lovely beach
We have been to the property a couple of times, and always had a lovely holiday. The villa has everything you need including a well-equipped kitchen plus a washing machine. We had a toddler, so it was great that there was travel cot, and a high-chair was ordered for us. The property is in a good location to get to the beach, and there is good selection of places to eat. We are planning to go there again in the future!

Paradise in Lagos
This is a lovely, well-appointed home. We had an incredible visit and having the Villa to come back to after a long day of touring made our experience very pleasant. We enjoyed many hours at the pool, soaking in the lovely view. We did not need the fans most nights, only 2. The owner is a gracious hostess and answered all of our questions. She made traveling to the Villa very easy. We enjoyed dining at all three of the local restaurants (2 on the beach and 1 at the round-about. The villa is located up the hill from the beach, approximately 1/2 mile. We walked the beach into Lagos and found it easy to cross the river using the new water taxi. The views from the villa are breathtaking! We had 8 adults in this home and never felt crowded. The beds were very comfortable. The villa is located in a very private and quiet area, which made for great sleeping! There is a mini mart on the beach with limited supplies. I recommend walking to town, going to the market and taking a taxi home for more extensive shopping.
If we are ever fortunate to visit Portugal again, I wouldn't hesitate to book this same property!

Private and well organised villa
Our group of friends found this villa the ideal balance. Private pool, plenty of games, music, DVDs and books for those who wanted to relax. The villa is cool, airy and very clean. The verandah was the ideal spot for having meals or a BBQ, and to watch the world go by. The location is perfect for those who wanted a swim at the beach which is literally down the road. Mini market and local beach bars/restaurants nearby. Access to Lagos town is easy and has lots on offer: restaurants, shopping, nightlife and history. There is a local train that only takes 4 minutes and taxis are cheap to get back.We even walked along the beach one evening, which is just lovely. Villa management and owner were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

A lovely comfortable villa in outstanding location
This is a beautiful, comfortable villa designed to make the most of the fabulous 180 degree sea views. The villa is well-equipped and spacious and with excellent access to the town of Lagos. It is walking distance to the beach. We think this is one of the best locations in the Algarve and we recommend it highly. This is our third visit.

Everything you could wish for
A well equipped, spacious and homely villa with great views to the sea and over golf course. Lovely swimming pool to laze by and partially covered terraces to sit in shade or sun. Ideally situated within easy walk to fabulous beach and local restaurants. Lagos town and marina are easily accessible providing a bustling atmosphere with plenty of restaurants and bars.
The owner of the villa was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and provided answers to all our questions promptly, also giving tips for car hire and restaurants.
I would definitely return and recommend to friends.

We had a fantastic time at the villa this year. It was in a perfect location for the beach and restaurants in the town. The villa was spacious and clean and had a lovely homely feel. The pool was great and helped that it was on a different level to the living space for the children. Great for golf too.

Casa days Tres Palmeiras
Having holidayed in Lagos for the last 30 years we are very familiar with the Meia Praia area and we were delighted to discover this little gem. Home from home, superb views and lovely quiet area, which is just what we like. Lagos town with all the facilities you need is only 5 minutes by car. Meia Praia is still by far the best beach in the Algarve. Would highly recommend this villa. Clean, comfortable and well equipped and the owner, Jenny, was extremely helpful with our booking - can't thank her enough. Will definitely return.

Fabulous villa with amazing sea views
We have just returned from a two week holiday in this villa and we loved it so much we are going back next year! The location is fantastic, in a quiet area only a 10 minutes stroll to the beach, with amazing views of the sea, Lagos and the golf course from the terrace and the pool. Jenny, the owner, was really helpful and always replied promptly to my enquiries. The villa was clean, spacious, comfortable and well maintained by a maid, gardener and pool guy several times during our stay. Three of the bedrooms and the living room had doors leading onto the terrace, where we spent lots of time admiring the view. There were a few beach bars and restaurants within walking distance, but the town of Lagos was only a short drive away and had plenty of restaurants to choose from in it's pretty cobbled streets and in the marina. This is one of the best villas we have ever rented and I would highly recommend it. We can't wait to return next year!

lovely villa, great location and views!
We rented the villa with another family and between us we have 3 small boys aged 4 and 5. We all LOVED it! The pool was ideal for them to let off steam and is very private with lovely views over the villa to the sea and plenty of sun loungers to relax in! Local beach and beach bars were fantastic. We flew to Lisbon and drove down very easily in 3 hours and the children slept for most of it after a very early start! Really comfortable villa with great kitchen and a perfect, quiet location and only a few minutes from the beach and the town. Ideal villa for families or groups of friends and plenty of nightlife in town for families with teenagers too!

Great Villa, Perfect location
We've just returned from our third stay in this lovely villa, it's so relaxing and the weather was fantastic. The brand new kitchen is great. We will definitely return again in the future and can highly recommend this villa for families or groups. The location is spot on. Just a couple of minutes walk to the beautiful beach and a short car/bus/train ride into Lagos and the marina and Lagos town.
