DON’T SLEEP HERE! It doesn’t look like on bookings photos. Must filled the entire room. Moodiness is everywhere (walls, beds) I couldn’t breathe there so I tried to sleep outside on the hammock but it was ripped. The pigeons are sheeting everywhere, I was afraid of getting dirt during my sleep. There are also bedbugs. The price is definitely to high. I definitely DON’T recommend this place.

Good price
Small and social enough
Very cool owner who was extremely hospitable and friendly
Not enough pots and pans
Volunteer made a mistake after confirming we were booked for two nights, yet being told after the first night we had to leave due to the hostel being booked out. Luckily the owner let us stay after figuring things out abd with a discounted rate.
Location: it is far from everything and a long walk home at night with a lot of stray, and potentially angry dogs, to confront.

The free breakfast every morning was a huge plus! Common area was also really social during our stay and the staff were great. Jorge really makes an effort to get to know everyone who's staying

I had a very comfortable stay in the 4-bed female dorm. It was clean and quiet, the shower had hot water. Location was great, close to the public access for the lake, as well as the ADO terminal. Jorge, the owner, makes sure you had a pleasant stay.

the staff were lovely
The property needs some serious renovations as there is problem with damp and mould and doves living in the roof upstairs which is very unhygienic with dove poo everywhere including in the air con unit coming into the room upstairs.

The lady who checked me in was lovely. The location about a ten minute walk from the bus drop off. They lent me a fan when it was very hot in my room.
The room stunk of dirty unwashed bodies. The toilet didn't work. There was a dim yellow light so I could barely see anything. The two women in my room slammed the door everytime they left to use the washroom (6 times each during the night). I woke up with bites all over my hands and face. But the worst was barking dogs all night long just outside my window. I got no sleep at all. I don't mind rough but I need to be able to sleep. Myself and several others left the next morning to find other accommodations. They don't offer a refund because most folks probably only stay one night. Do not book more than one night. I notified the owner and was told they can't do anything about the problems. I booked another place for slightly more money and have had a room to myself in a wonderful clean place. I didn't take photos...but the place is much smaller than it appears in photos. There is a small kitchen if you can stand the heat.

The staff was friendly and the location was close to the bus station. Free breakfast from 9am that consists of papaya, pineapple and banana, you can have coffee and tea too, a toast with jam, drinking water available
Such a horrible room with no window, no ventilation, there was mold! Not a healthy environment to be in, nor the air to breathe. Stuffy room, dark, hot, the AC was on from 10 pm, but was not making the temperature any lower. The hostel is open all the time, during the night too! Anyone can enter. No keys given, it is not a secure place. Survived one night, but definitely not coming back

Nothing, we didnt stay and just paid for somewhere else instead so now out of pocket.
The only window of the room opened onto a busy communal space where loud dance music was being played. The room smelt very strongly of lighter fluid or acetone or something, it was hard to breathe.

especially the staff was super friendly and helped where they could
