About this house rental
Rustic, quiet, beautiful, and private. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath guesthouse has charm, comfort and serenity! On our 1 1/2 acre property you will relax, recharge and connect with Mother Earth the moment you step through the gates in your own personal sanctuary.
The guest house shares the grounds with our other vacation rental, Hubbard's Hacienda, the larger house that accommodates larger groups.
Although Jasper and Quill, our Donkeys, no longer reside on the property, their spirit lives on at the Bed and Burro!
The guest house has a wood-burning fireplace, and access to a huge patio with gas grill. There is a private entrance with off street parking and your own washer and dryer.
There is a nice size pool (not heated) and many areas of the grounds that allow you to relax, meditate and reflect and recharge. There is a hammock, a meditation garden swing, and numerous sitting areas around the grounds. The gentle wind chimes will allow you to find your inner peace and become one with the Sonoran Desert.
Convenient to restaurants and shops as well as Sabino Canyon, Mt. Lemmon, and Saguaro National Park East. Tucson is home to Kitt Peak National Observatory, San Xavier Mission, Pima Air and Space Museum, Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, University of Arizona, Tucson Botanical Gardens, and more. Perfect for visitors to the World's Largest Gem and Mineral show, La Fiesta de Los Vaqueros Rodeo, and the UofA Wildcats.

Perfect place for our stay in the Tuscon area. We stayed for one week in the Bed & Burro. Our purpose was to ride bikes and train with friends. This was the perfect set up. We met the group during the day to ride. And in the evenings for dinner. The Burro was a nice quiet place to lay our heads and call home @ night. We did use the pool side area during the afternoons which was clean and inviting.

This guest house is a great little place to stay on the best side of town in Tucson. The property is very clean, easy to get to as well as nice and quiet. The property is close to Mt. Lemmon, Tanque Verde falls, Saguaro park east. All great places for spring time outdoor activities. Only communication I had with William was on the day of check in. Thats because I had no issues at all during my stay. Check in directions were clear and easy. William was nice to chat with on the phone. Will absolutely recommend this place!

Our stay here was nothing short of fantastic. The facility was clean and access was easy. The overall appearance of the house was very nice. Even though we did not use the pool, we could tell it is well maintained. A very relaxing stay. Definitely would stay again.

We felt so lucky to have found this property that is both close to so many outdoor attractions and feels peaceful and 'away from it all'. The quiet, spacious patio space is green and open and removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. All the ameneties needed to prepare a meal, sleep comfortably, etc. We appreciated the basket of pamphlets on local attractions, as well as the shoppers discount cards left out-- what a considerate touch by the hosts.
We would absolutely stay here again.

Great location for hiking in the West Saguaro National Park, Sabino and Bear Canyons, and for a trip up Mt Lemon.
The guest house was very clean. The 2 bedrooms are a good size. The sitting and eating area and the kitchen are small, but the kitchen is very well equipped. Having 2 ensuite bathrooms was great.
Communication with William was excellent. The neighborhood is very quiet.
All in all, my wife and I enjoyed our stay very much, and would definitely stay there again.

The Burro Inn is cozy, comfortable, and very clean. It was equipped with everything we needed. It was in a nice neighborhood, not far from West Saguero N.P. and hiking trails, yet easy access to restaurants and shopping.

Gem in tanque verde
The owners were very responsive in answering any questions. The property is very nice and seems private and quiet. Loved the little house. Everything worked as needed and the beds were very comfortable. Had no problems with the outdoor common areas as our neighbors were very welcoming and fun. Enjoyed it very much.

Very Southwest setting, inside & out
Enjoyed our stay. Happy to be out of the hustle & bustle of Tucson traffic but within less than 10 minutes of any shopping you need. Site is on northeastern edge of Tuscon city limits with a feel of the desert. Unit has internet TV, so get briefed on how to use it.

As we expected from the pictures and description, the house is relatively small. But it has two bedrooms which are of reasonable size and two bathrooms adjoining them. The living room area was small but fine for two people. The kitchen was small but we were able to cook several meals there. The owner was wonderful to work with. We asked for and got a last minute check-in. He also provided us with a couple of extra things that we needed. In particular I had a problem with the chairs around the kitchen table because of my sensitive back (although they were fine for my wife) and he got a kitchen chair that was comfortable for me the next day. The location is near the foothills. It's in the back of a larger house and very quiet. It was very convenient for the Suguaro National Park and Sabino Canyon as well as grocery stores and restaurants.

Feels like home
A beautiful property that feels like home the minute you walk in. The grounds and home are sprawling and comfortable. Plenty of room for large groups, but also nice as a more intimate getaway.

Lovely Place
I stayed at the Bed and Burro for a long weekend with my mom. The place was great! Perfect for two people and loved that each of us had a bathroom. The place is very quiet and in a beautiful location. It is only a 15 minute drive to Saguaro National Park and only about 10 minutes to the foot of Mount Lemmon. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

We had everything we needed for a quiet relaxing trip
What we loved the most about this place was the area it was in. Slightly out of the Tucson city limits, we are able to enjoy the quiet and to hear the coyotes at night. Within walking distance is a conservation area (park) and the streets all around were very walkable. We loved all the birds and the stories of wildlife in the area. It was handy for us to drive to hiking areas and also to find nearby restaurants. We also enjoyed visiting with the people who were renting the bigger house on the property.

Great place!
My wife, my adult son and I go back every year for six weeks. This was our 3rd year. It is a wonderful place. Mike, the local manager takes care of your every need promptly. The location is convenient to shopping and personal care. The shower is outstanding. It is a great place for those, as is my wife, is handicapped.

A most delightful casita!
This was the perfect spot for a co-worker and me to share while we worked at the Tucson Gem Show. We each had our own bedroom and shower, making it easy to get ready in the mornings. The kitchen area, although small, is well-equipped and saved us from having to always eat in restaurants during our stay. The decor is delightful, the beds comfortable, and the surrounding area peaceful and quiet. The grounds could use some attention, but are still oh-so charming. The showers are somewhat small, but adequate for their purpose and there was never a shortage of hot water. There were plenty of soft towels, as well as many personal-care items available.
This sweet casita is so much better than staying in a hotel! I highly recommend staying at The Bed & Burro Inn when visiting Tucson! I know I will be hoping to stay again next year! Thank you, Bill!!

Cozy and comfortable, great mountain views!
Despite a few small glitches, we enjoyed our stay. The casita was on the small side but had everything we needed for a brief stay. Owner was very accommodating and responsive. Very quiet and private, great views.

Always a treat to come back to Bed & Burrow Inn with its lovely desert walks and mountain views!!

Nice little place near hiking
Great place for two. More than that can get somewhat cramped. Has everything you want---close to hiking, golf, etc. I imagine any season except winter is best since there is a really nice pool which allows you to spread out a bit.
Nice beds and baths (no tub, ladies and kids!)
Small kitchen area but has everything you need
Nice host too

Perfect accommodations
Our family stayed in both the main house and the guest house. We found the whole place to be wonderfully inviting and conducive to all sorts of activities and conversations throughout the week. We also loved the location. We were close enough to the wilderness to do several great hikes yet close enough to civilization to sustain our human needs.
Absolutely loved it!

The Inn is cozy and had the basics for a comfortable stay about 20 minutes from downtown Tucson.

Beautiful garden. Abundant area to lounge around outside, kids Loved it!!
We had an amazing time! My wife and 3 kids ( ages 2,5, 7) has so much fun exploring every corner of the garden. We spent the whole week in the pool and took advantage of the built in gas grill for 4th of July. Owner was very welcoming and encouraged us to make ourselves at home. Plenty of privacy from neighbors. Only drawback was when We were surprised when landscapers showed up while we were poolside. Being made aware of their schedule would have been beneficial for us but it didn’t take away from the whole experience.
We will definitely visit again, and perhaps look at a longer stay in the main house next time!

It was warm and wonderful in Arizona; and the wildlife was more than manageable.
We really enjoyed this property, even though we are more accustomed to visiting Tucson in late March. So it averaged about twenty degrees warmer than usual.
The Casita de la Abuela was absolutely perfect for our needs. It was very compact, but who wants to spend time indoors in that beautiful weather. The kitchen was abbreviated but sufficient to prepare fresh fruit snacks and small breakfasts.
We have been traveling to Tucson for years and are familiar with a multitude of local eateries.
The casita was more than adequate for our grandchildren to visit and the pool was wonderful for frolicking in the afternoon sun.
We enjoyed the lizards, the hummingbirds, and the bunnies. We were delighted with the quiet mornings, the ample space, and the uninterrupted privacy.
The only problem was that our vacation was too short.
