This was a perfect space for us to stay! We have family in Salem and typically stay there in a hotel. Since our last trip, we’ve added a border collie to our family. We’re getting him accustomed to road trips and new circumstances, so wanted to try bringing him this time. This was a great space for the 4 of us (2 adults, 1 teen, and our dog). The yard is beautiful, the house was immaculate, and it is located just 2 blocks from a pretty park for walking the dog. This also gave us cause to visit Independence- such a cute little town! Thank you!

Came back to Oregon to have Thanksgiving with family and friends. Needed a place to stay for a family of 3 and 4 last night. It was adorable and cozy. It felt like you were going downhill in living room and there was a tiny bit of ants around even with ant traps set out by owners. Still very nice place.

This cottage looks like it belongs on HGTV! It is very well decorated in a rustic style. There is a chicken coop in the backyard. For us city people it was fun to watch the chickens and as a perk the Hosts gave us fresh eggs every day. There is a small park just two short blocks away from this cottage to walk your dog or kids to, We enjoyed walking our dog around the quaint neighborhood. There is also an enclosed dog park just minutes away in the town of Independence plus a paved walking trail beside the river in town. The town has loads of charm and restaurants.

This tiny house is hands down, one of the coolest places where I've ever stayed! The photos on the Vrbo site accurately reflect this beautiful abode. It is incredibly charming and far better than staying in a hotel. Bill and Liz thought of so many extra details and touches that made my stay perfect! While it was totally private, peaceful and quiet, Bill and Liz made themselves available for anything I needed. Make sure you help yourself to fresh eggs in the morning, courtesy of the chickens and enjoy the pool for an evening swim (if you are there when it's warm!). And if you are a doggie lover, be sure to say hello to Moxie and Oliver...they are the friendliest and SWEETEST doodle dogs! When you are visiting Independence, or the surrounding area, and want cozy and tranquil accommodations, this truly is the place to stay!

A little tight for space but owners have squeezed everything you need into this cute bungalow! Internet, satellite TV, all worked great. Nice little creek right behind home and we watched the deer go by!

Anniversary getaway
Perfect for a small group. Rural feel in a beautiful town. Short drive to the coast and Portland, but the local area were our best days on this vacation.

Perfect little spot!
My Cousin and I were in town for one night for a wedding and wanted someplace simple to freshen up before and rest our heads after. This was 6 min from the venue, and was perfect for what we needed. Instructions for everything were very thorough, the property and rental were clean, owners were friendly and so was the dog 😊 They had the inside decorates very cute and had anything we could possibly need if we had forgotten it. Thank you to the owners for sharing their tiny home!

Small and comfy
The house was well built and cared for. Loved the separate bedroom space. Ample kitchen tools and some spices helped. The chickens were a treat and the owners left us with food so we could feed them.

Perfect stay south of Salem
Cottage feels newly built and is genuinely cozy. Thoughtfully appointed and great location in Independence. Absolutely recommended.

Loud. Not the place for a restful night sleep. Dogs barking until very late at night just outside your door, loud television from the house. Your basically sleeping in someone's back yard and on top of it they have dogs and chickens there too. The chickens are just outside of your door so if you have allergies or respiratory issues this is not the place for you. Icing in the cake is the rooster cawing in your ear at 5AM through 9AM. Fun to try I guess.

Super Cute and all I needed
The cabin is small but perfect for one or two people. It has all you need and is very tastefully decorated. Directions were perfect and access was easy. The town is also very charming and worth exploring (the local bakery is awesome!)

Great experience for my husband, daughter and golden retriever! hope to stay there again. The hosts were easy going and friendly. Their dog was a sweet playmate for our dog.

It was cute but I think better suited for two guests.
We arrived late and left early so didn’t have much time there. We loved the dogs and beautiful chickens!
