About this cabin rental
Harmony Mountain Retreat is a premier BuffaloRiverLodging log cabin. Literally thousands of guests have made life-long memories over the past 15 years! Most are repeat guests who contact me directly through my 24 hour toll-free guest service line. Many have been staying for over a decade! Availabilty, especially for prime dates, may change quickly due to multiple methods of booking.
Situated at high elevation on large wooded acreage bordering the Ozark National Forest, Harmony Mountain Retreat is a stress-free 4400 sq. ft., eight suite log home that sleeps up to 23 guests. Each suite has its own full bathroom, with several enjoying their own large Jacuzzi bathtub. All suites also provide private access to the cabin's three-level, 1100 sq. ft. deck overlooking the Ozark National Forest.

This property offered a very spacious, rustic, quiet cabin set deep in the woods and perfect for large groups to come together and connect while immersing themselves in nature. Our family gathered here from across the country and enjoyed our time together.

We had a great stay we were on are yearly motorcycle trip this cabin was in a great location in the ozarks. Plenty of room in cabin for all very relaxing after riding all day .i would recommend this cabin very much.

Great convenient location and lodge had beds and baths for all the 8 family groups. Big yard to play in and kitchen stocked with every thing you could need!

The Cabin was big enough for the whole family. There was plenty of space indoors and outdoors for everyone to have their own space. The kids were able to play outside and enjoy the fresh air. The campfire was nice in the evening and the views were beautiful in the morning. There is a Dollar General about 3 miles away if you need supplies. Our family will vacation here again.

I can't say enough positive things about this cabin. The yard was well maintained, the interior is gorgeous, and there is a ton of space indoor and out. My family had a Thanksgiving get together here and couldn’t be happier. There are two full stoves, stocked cabinets with cups and diningware, plenty of counter top space and all kinds of seating. The owner is quick to respond, and clearly cares about the guests. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had our friends and family stay at the cabin for our wedding! It was a perfect set up for a large group with lots of rooms and bathrooms. The living area was plenty big for us all and the back decks are a quiet and beautiful place to hangout. The location is secluded and very private, surrounded by woods. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. We all drove out to Sam's Throne for the ceremony. It was an excellent time. We will be back someday to celebrate our anniversary!

It was great that each room had it's own bathroom. Everyone was impressed with the house and the low cost of the trip. We do a family reunion trip every other year and have stayed in VRBO's in several cities. Sometimes, you get a surprise when you compare the house to the listing on the website, but not this one. It was just as advertised! And the scenery around the Buffalo River is gorgeous!

If you need a place to get away from it all that can sleep lots of people, this is the place! It's very rustic and out of the way, perfect for getting together and reconnecting with family, friends, etc. The owner is extremely responsive and the place was clean and well appointed.

We had an amazing stay with our family. The property was perfect for our large family. We had great evenings around the campfire. Jeff also gave us a really great suggestion for a creek spot and it was amazing! The cabin was spotless and had plenty of room for our large crew! We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful home for relaxing and exploring nature. Will certainly recommend to others. Very comfortable and owner was easy to communicate with. Our family enjoyed staying in this home. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to work in. The kids especially liked the S’mores fixings left for us.

We stayed for three nights in April. The cabin is very large with a deck on each of the three floors. The kitchen is amply stocked with supplies. The grill on the deck looked quite new and worked well. We enjoyed watching the birds while having our morning coffee. To the side of the cabin is a fire ring and picnic table that we used to cook smores and watch the stars. I spotted a wild turkey and a doe while staying here. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.

First time for the family's siblings vacation, we could not have asked for a better place to stay. Plenty of rooms, great dining room to accommodate all of us for a single seating, fire ring for smores, we even had low fly overs from the base up the road. It was a great stay.

We gathered 3 generations of family for a spring break week in a place we had never visited before. The cabin was in a great location for visiting Newton County, Ozark National Forest and Buffalo National River hiking trails. We loved all the caves and waterfalls! The cabin was larger than we needed but we appreciated being able to spread out and give everyone their own space, not to mention their own bathroom. The kids were excited to find a cabinet full of games and books, and we all enjoyed a bonfire with s'mores on the last night. The host was friendly and quickly responsive to our questions. It was a good week.

This cabin was perfect for our group of 14 ladies. We hiked all day and come into a warm, clean cabin to shower and crash. Had plenty of space to spread out. When we ate breakfast and had devotions we had room to all be together also.

Our stay was perfect! Thank you for having us. Jeff has been such an amazing host catering to all our needs. each room had their own a/c and access to to the outside decks. we had plenty of space for our big family. It was close to many of the area's scenic overlooks to watch the sunrise and sunsets and hiking trails. Such a beautiful area! Family is already wanting to come back next year.

We had eleven people and had all the room we wanted. A bathroom for each bedroom was fabulous! The kitchen was so well stocked and the extra stove/oven and refrigerator helped so much.
We cooked, we laughed, we played games, we played music, and had a wonderful weekend.

The only thing I didn't like was another cabin right beside the one we rented. Wasn't a problem but was surprised to see it when we arrived. But overall pretty cool place.

Scouts weekend river trip
Property is perfectly suited for large groups or multi family getaways. It was nice to be able to separate the adults from the kids into their own bedrooms. Property owner was very helpful and accommodating.

Loved the remoteness and deck
It's beautiful, wheelchair accessible, room for plenty. Wish there was one of the good bedrooms downstairs like the nice rooms upstairs I heard about. Quick access to local Jasper and the Buffalo.

Water pressure in shower is terrible. The neighbors dogs howling on the back deck and trying to find garbage to get into at 530 in the morning was annoying. Everything else about the place is fantastic. I would recommend for church groups or family reunion...but get the water pressure fixed for the showers.

House is clean and very well equipped. Kitchen is well stocked. ACs in every room. The house is just as described. I will definitely visit again!!
