Hotel was spotless, modern. Great hotel.
Unfortunately our 3 night stay was hindered by noise from 3 consecutive weddings over the three days . The wedding parties spilled out into the main hotel bar area despite having their own weeding function room with a large bar. The noise levels from the wedding members was very uncomfortable and spoilt and prevented any chance of having a relaxing/quiet drink in the hotel residents bar area. You really could not hold a conversation due to the loud volume of wedding guests. We certainly wouldn’t book again if a wedding is booked at the same time. The hotel really needs to address this. It’s a real shame as this is a very nice hotel, with great spa & leisure facilities. I felt sorry for any Spa weekend guests as this would not have been relaxing evenings for them.

Excellent hotel with European comfort standard which is not easy to find in the UK
People are too 'artificially' friendly at check in. Asking too many questions to be nice. Just being friendly is more than ok.
Spa resort is not really for the hotel, but seems to be more for the locals. I also would not recommend to eat in the Spa resort. It is far too busy and too noisy. Menu is very ltd. But servants were very friendly.

Staff were amazing. The beds were lovely and comfortable. Stunning hotel and land. Food and breakfast were so tasty I honestly would just come back for the food it was that good!
The price of the rooms, over £200 for a standard double room a night even though the hotel is gorgeous!

It’s just a beautiful hotel
I suppose the only downside is there isn’t a lot to do out of the hotel as this time we stayed for 3 nights and got a little bit of cabin fever

Nice modern hotel, very clean and well maintained. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
It’s quite expensive. The massage in the spa wasn’t the best in comparison to other spa treatments we have experienced at other hotels/spa’s

Excellent facilities, good pool, large gym and choice of 3 restaurants
Walk from hotel to leisure pool no clearly marked in the dark

The hotel itself is lovely. The Boland Suite is stunning & restaurant and bar are very modern looking. But the promo literature oversells the spa experience. There are far better spa hotels in the North West. Solely as a hotel however, it is modern and luxurious. The staff are excellent.
It’s not actually a spa hotel. It’s a hotel with an independent spa a few hundred metres away. When checking in we were told we had access to the spa (excluding treatments). In reality we had access to a small part of the spa building, containing a gym and a pool resembling a local authority pool. It has a small jacuzzi in the corner, that was overcrowded each time we attempted to get in. There aren’t even any beds around the pool to sit on and wait. The areas we couldn’t access because the spa was fully booked, looked lovely through the windows. Overall, not the relaxing luxurious spa weekend we anticipated. Unless you buy the spa packages as part of your booking, it really is just a hotel experience you’re getting, despite being led to believe otherwise.
Not much atmosphere in the bar, restaurant areas.

The staff were exceptional from start to finish, we travelled under not great circumstances, and needed to be near the hospital which was an easy commute. We had an upgraded room on arrival, and we booked an extra night.
The breakfast was incredible, we are not from the area but have decided its the perfect place to have our wedding and is actually perfectly located between my home town and my fiances

Excellent staff/service. Spacious accommodation. Super food quality/choice
Suggest allocating non-wedding guests on opposite side of hotel to function room. Music noise until midnight.
Overkill on the dietary waivers/documents. Have travelled the world and not encountered this practice before. Spoiled the mood.

Lovely hotel, great faulty towers dining experience.
Lovely big room very nice comfy bed, big bathroom, with a bath.
I think 3 pm is quite late check-in, wud be better at 2pm like most place's ive stayed especially wen you need a photo I.d which we didn't have has the booking was made back in Feb ive slept since then so a reminder of this wud be good seeing as we had a reminder of our coming stay just the day before, so by the time we found some I'd we lost 30mins on our stay which made me late at getting to the pool which I didn't realise is not in the actual hotel & we had to meet family at 6.30pm so it was abit stressful for me, after speaking to others we all said photo I'd was a ridiculous waste of our time & I travel all over & never needed it before understandable if I was in another country but was only in Burnley.

Rudolph’s welcome was effusive and typically Lancastrian, but a tiny bit over the top. Facilities are excellent in general.
Couldn’t get rid of the droning fan in the bedroom: we don’t like aircon and kept the window open but we didn’t get a full night’s sleep. One lift was out of order for the whole of our short visit (where were the lift maintenance people?) and the wedding party were very raucous: we might not have stayed if we’d known in advance. The hotel is of high quality but doesn’t wrap itself around you: it’s a corporate and event destination and would score well on that basis.

Too noisy because of the wedding parties every few days

From the moment we were greeted by Rudolph, the Concierge, on arrival, the staff were attentive, professional and welcoming. The rooms were modern, spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. We ate in both Wilfred's and Bertram's restaurants and the food in both was exceptional. We even asked the pastry chef in Bertram's to come to our table to applaud him for the wonderful puddings on Saturday night. The leisure facilities are of a high standard with a decent size swimming pool. We didn't use the spa facilities but they looked very good, especially as the weather was so nice and people were able to be outside. Great location for Pendle Hill and Gawthorpe Hall.
It's a little confusing on arrival to get your bearings about where everything is as the leisure facilities are in a separate building from the hotel. It doesn't take long though to work it out!
