About this apartment rental

Located on a dead-end QUIET road, this is a 2nd floor (above a 2 car garage) spacious, super clean 2-bed, 1 full bath apartment with a complete kitchen, good sized common area and a private entrance. Lots of big windows and natural sunlight. 20 acres of woods and meadows abundant with wildlife and flowers surround you.
Just a couple of miles from Potawatomi State Park and across the road from Sand Bay.
Ten minutes from western edge of beautiful, vibrant Sturgeon Bay!
One bedroom has a queen bed with memory foam mattress. The second bedroom also has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress. There is also a oull out couch with a new comfortable queen sized memory foam mattress. Quality linens and towels are provided. High speed Starlink internet and a 43-inch flat screen TV with satellite service along with a land line for nationwide outgoing calls provided should you have any difficulty with your cell service.
The apartment also has a completely equipped kitchen with a decent sized refrigerator and freezer, electric range/oven, microwave, toaster, and a drip coffee maker available. Door County coffee packets also provided. All the dishes and cookware you should need. Otherwise, just ask for whatever you're missing.
Outdoor gas grill, picnic table, fire ring with benches, firewood provided. The property is very quiet with an abundance of birds and wildlife. No immediate neighbors with lots of secure off road parking. Garage available if needed to store bicycles or motorcycles. Owners live on the premises and are available when needed.
Base rate is for two people, an additional charge of $10 per day, per person will apply. Maximum occupancy is five persons. No children under 12. No pets.

My friend and I loved Joan and Steven’s place! It was so comfortable, peaceful and quiet. Had everything you would need in a vacation rental. Joan and Steven were amazing hosts - lots of communication, recommendations and help! For example, Joan loaned us towels and folding chairs in case we decided to go to the beach. I’d recommend this place and would return!

The property is so beautiful. The place is clean, cozy, and quiet. I got a chance to meet the owners and they were lovely. I definitely plan to come back and stay with them again. I highly recommend if you want a well rested stay.

My friend and I stayed for a fishing tournament. Great spot for up to two boats. Any more and parking would get tricky. Super nice people on a very nice property.

This VRBO was totally awesome. When we pulled in there were three deer eating apples, and six turkeys eating food under the bird feeders. We also saw several smaller birds on the feeders. Steve showed us up to what would be our home for 4 nights. The place was very clean and we totally loved staying there. We also talked with Joan who let us borrow a Door County map for our stay. Both Steve and Joan were helpful in giving us travel tips and places to eat at. The location of this VRBO was centrally located to the places we wanted to see. A nice quiet place with comfortable beds, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Door County area.

Very Peaceful and very nice. The 2 bedroom separate apartment was very accommodating. Kitchen was well stocked and they had coffee and creamer for us, even though we brought our own. The place is a few miles west of Sturgeon Bay but very easy to get to downtown. We toured Door county and Joan gave us tips as well as brochures on items of interest. We had a great and relaxing stay. Thanks Steve and Joan

Beautiful carriage house. Had all amenities. Hosts were extremely accommodating. Property located about 10 minutes from downtown Sturgeon Bay. Quiet place to stay on beautiful, sprawling property. Outdoor fire pit too. Garage space below the carriage was a plus to store our bikes. Definitely would stay here again.

Rental was clean and inviting! Felt like our home. Hosts Joan and Steve are a pleasure to talk to and provide a great experience. Steve got the fire pit started for us and we had a great night watching the stars. Location easily accessible to Door County venues. We stayed here last year and came to stay again and thoroughly enjoyed the lodging and location.

This was a serene, cozy, perfect little spot to lead us into Door County. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. The hosts thought of everything, answered all of our questions, gave fabulous suggestions, and made sure we were accommodated with anything we may need for the day...umbrellas, market totes, etc. We definitely plan to return!

Fantastic getaway. We loved everything about the place. Just the right size accommodations for us. Super clean and the backyard was very secluded and included an outdoor tent and a place to have a fire. We enjoyed the beautiful flowers and wildlife in the yard. The hosts, Steven and Joan provided all of the information that we needed to enjoy our stay.

This was a perfect place. Very clean and well maintained. Quiet country setting and still close to many different attractions. The owners were so nice and had a lot of helpful suggestions on things to see and do in the area. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Door County. 😊

The perfect place for our family trip. Everything was spotless and the beds were comfortable. There is a private outdoor area for guests with a canopy, picnic table and firepit. Steve was kind enough to start a fire for us. We'll be back!

We had a lovely stay at this property. Our hosts were welcoming and kind. Everything was very clean. The property is in a more isolated area, but it’s a quick drive into Sturgeon Bay and then into more of Door County. Would highly recommend!

We came for the second time as we found this unit exceptionally clean, easy enough to find, quiet and having all the amenities that we need. It is near the aspects of Door County that we wanted to see. Also saw several wildlife on or near the property making it interesting for us city folks. We expect this to be our go to place when we want to travel to the Door.

Joan and Steve were amazing hosts! Joan met us when we arrived and let us into their home.The property is beautiful and quiet. Apartment was very clean, comfortable beds. We quite enjoyed the variety of games that were provided. The water is from a well I assume, and has a very strong odor (eggs?)....that would be our only complaint. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

We had a delightful time. The location was perfect for us. It was very quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy part of the island. We were able to walk a short distance down the road and watch the sunset over the bay. When we arrived back, a fire had just been started for us to sit around and enjoy. Gracious hosts, with helpful information about Door County.

This location is rural but not far from Sturgeon Bay and makes for a good base location for Door County. It’s over an hour drive to the north tip of the county. The rural setting was good for wildlife viewing and star gazing. Steve and Joan were good hosts. Joan prepared a lot of Door County information for us including brochures and maps while Steve prepared a campfire when we returned after a long day of sight-seeing. The accommodations are comfortable and very clean. The hosts were very responsive when we had questions or needed anything. We had a great time.

We all enjoyed our stay with Joan and Steve very much. The apartment is perfect for 4 people. Joan and Steve are the perfect hosts. They are very friendly and it was always nice to chat with them. The property and the surrounding area are beautiful. We loved seeing so many birds, including wild turkeys, and enjoyed meeting other wildlife and being surrounded by so much nature.

A very private, quiet, peaceful, clean, and comfortable two bedroom apartment above the hosts’ garage. It was everything we look for while renting a home. We had trouble getting in upon arrival, but the hosts responded and helped immediately. Steve and Joan are wonderful hosts, making us feel like family with their warm and friendly personalities. It’s a quick and easy drive to downtown Sturgeon Bay.

Very nice “apartment”, beautiful setting, very quiet, saw turkeys on the property one morning. It is rather remote but a good map helped to acclimate us. It is a second story apartment so stairs may/may not be an issue.

Loved our stay! Located in a quiet area of Door County with abundant wildlife around including the 3 turkey and 2 deer in the front lawn when we pulled in. The grounds were immaculate and the unit was super clean, extremely well maintained and tastefully decorated with everything you would need. Steve and Joan were so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

We absolutely loved our stay with Joan and Steve. On the first day, Joan helped us identify places in Door County that would best suit our interests. The apartment was very cozy and we were able to chat with Joan and Steve throughout our stay. We throughly enjoyed this beautiful and peaceful location . We saw turkeys, rabbits, deer and even a juvenile eagle. The unit had everything we needed and super clean. Our hosts are great people and very knowledgeable of the peninsula. Would love to stay again if we’re back in the area.

Our hosts Joan and Steve received us like family, and we enjoyed chatting with them on several occasions during our 4-night stay. They were extremely helpful with suggestions for activities that suit our interests also. The apartment was clean and served our needs perfectly, and the location at the end of a dead-end road out in the country (although easy to find and get to), was perfect at the end of every day of sightseeing. We’d go there again for sure when traveling to Door County!
