Lovely cottage

Large, comfortable and well-equipped cottage an easy walk to all the amenities of the beautiful town of Franschhoek. Tim is an excellent host, friendly, helpful and responsive. We had a great stay.

A wonderful stay in a spacious , well maintained house

Everything ! The contact with the owners & all instructions clear , the cleanliness , the location , the facilities . Tea, coffee and rusks great , a small milk in the fridge perhaps would be a great starter.

Driveway with hedging very narrow for our cars so a bit of a mission getting in and out . Passengers need to get out first .

Perfect stay in a perfect cottage

A beautiful cottage all to ourselves. 2 outdoor seating areas in the shade which we needed on the hot days! Very spacious lounge, very well fitted kitchen with dining area. And a short walk from everything.

We had a lovey stay. Perfect location especially close of you’re doing the wine tram.

Great location. Nice and spacious. We enjoyed the fireplace as it was a cold and rainy weekend.

The driveway was very narrow and difficult to fit the vehicles. The upstairs room was a bit cold. More blankets and a heater would have been great.

Beautiful house and location, just needs a little bit more thought.

The location is ideal and very central. The beds were the most comfortable we have probably slept in - ever!

Although there is a fireplace - it doesn’t work very well. Smoke bellows out, people sleeping upstairs suffered badly. We didn’t bother making another fire, which was sad as it was the main reason we chose this house (so we could sit, relax and drink wine by the fire). Not enough ‘normal’ drinking glasses. Curtains/Blinds don’t keep the streetlight out which is not so great for a sensitive sleeper.

Villa Ashbourne complemented perfectly the wonderful Literary Festival experience!

Location excellent; accommodation spacious, beautifully clean. An efficient inverter shielded us seamlessly from loadshedding. Tim was helpful, courteous, friendly and ready to assist.

- Tim welcomed us personally, showed us everything in the house and gave us tips concerning things to see and do - the complementary bottle of wine - the house and the garden are lovely - there are electric blankets to pre-heat the bed - wonderful as we were there in August

Everything. We got chocolates and a bottle of wine upon arrival. The shower and waterflow was amazing. The fireplace was already packed and ready to be lit. There was also enough wood for us to use, and it was for free. Ice and water in the fridge... It was ons of my best booking.com stays ever. Thank you Tim.

We had a get together with only girls(mommies) and no kids. It didnt seem as if the tv was working (however, i didnt ask Tim for help at all as we didnt use it really.) This may be an ossue of i had to bring my kids with :). Unless we didnt know how to operate it.
