About this house rental
The house was designed by a Swiss architect and completed in 2009. There is a pleasant indoor temperature in summer and winter. The house is heated with natural hot water. The large windows allow an unrestricted view to the fjord and the weather changes. In winter, Northern Lights can be observed without leaving the house.
There are three separate rooms and a bathroom. The main room has a large table and the kitchen. The main sleeping room has a double bed and a sofa with a nice view to the Fjord. The children's room has a bunk bed. The bathroom is in black stone and equipped with a spacious shower. The fully equipped kitchen has all amenities and a large fridge. Enough dinnerware and cutlery is available. WiFi and a computer with internet access is in the room as well.

We enjoyed this property, especially the big window, very much. Would love to stay again next time when visiting the area.

What a beautiful location & nice little place to stay after a long day out exploring.

Beautiful place to stay, the views over the bay are amazing, only a 15 minute drive to downtown akureyri, yet peacefull and quiet in the house.
Owner of the buildings is a great guy, can help you with anything, giving recommendation or just a chat.
Will be visiting again on future iceland trips.

It was an exceptional place and we loved our stay!

This was a highlight of our trip. Views from the place out to the fjord and the mountains are stunning, and everything in the house is new and well-designed and thought out. Kitchen is stocked with quality pans. Thomas provided a book with lots of local tips, including restaurants and hikes, which we made good use of. It's a bit off the beaten track, and for us that is a plus! I would totally recommend this place.

This guesthouse was perfect for our family of four. Unbelievable views of the water, easy access to the City and all of the great northern Iceland destinations!

I am so glad we found this listing. Being right on a fjord was awesome. The first morning there we saw and heard whales.
The property is just far enough from town but not to far. We were able to drive to the tourist sites and not be rushed.
For our first trip to Iceland, this location was perfect.

Great location if you want to get away from it all. Property was clean, kitchen was well apppinted and practical, and the views out the back window and patio were stunning.
Would definitely stay here again.

Beautifully kept cottage close to Akureyri. Lovely views! Able to access much of the northern area for day trips. We had a blast!

The "White's":
Fantastic view on fjord and mountains
Very quiet
Some high quality elements in the house like inox steel working area in kitchen, high quality coffee brewer, good mattresses etc
The "Black's":
We requested in advance the second bedroom to be prepared and only after several reminders we received on day 3 a linen but not an offer to prepare the room for the second half of the stay, so we had to clean it on our own
On the one hand a high quality coffee machine, on the other hand for a four person house only one spoon, fork etc per person, many similar examples could be provided
Cleaning could have been much more thorough, in bathroom, bedrooms etc
For that price I would have expected a bit of salt, pepper and sugar in the house as an absolute minimum so we had to buy that stuff although we already had completed two other stays of cottages on the island before
Etc. Etc.
The owners live far away in Germany/Switzerland, probably have invested a lot of money into the place but now rely on people that do not manage it as it would be their own property and only do the minimum if at all, do not replace/refill things that should obviously be done and we have never got the impression to feel at least a bit at home away from home.
In summary, OK but expensive for a few hours of sleep but not a place you would like to spend a longer time.

This was an excellent place to stay. It is in the most beautiful location, with a bigger town close by. Everything was super clean. Loved it here!

The house and location were fantastic, but we had three people booked in and the house was set up for two. This was remedied the second night.

The price, the view, the heated floor, just everything in general spectacular!

Lovely property right by the Fjord great view. . Good level of darkness to see Northern lights, we went in winter, lots of snow, good winter place, was always warm underfloor heating.
We wanted to be outside of Akureyri for the view. It’s about a 25 minute drive to town. We visited two thermal pools aporox 1.5 hours drive to each. At accommodation it would have been useful to have something to dry clothes on. We had to scatter all wet stuff directly on the floor to dry. Also could have done with having bit more cutlery/ cups etc as bit of waste to run dishwasher half empty. Generally great and would recommend !

We had a lovely stay! Even though we were in the middle of a snow storm for a day the place provided beautiful views with the floor to ceiling windows which made our day enjoyable despite the weather. Everything was clean and as shown in pictures and the Thomas was very communicative. I would stay here again!

This is a lovely cottage for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Iceland. Kitchen is well equipped and space is ample for a family of 3. Expect to drive always to get to the premier hikes but a great place to come home to at the end of the day.

Gorgeous Property
Absolutely beautiful property with stunning views of the fjord. Love the design and openness of the cottage which has everything you will need. We sat around the large table as a family and recounted our memorable activities in Northern Iceland.

Amazing place...Perfect.
I've spend months traveling around Iceland, two summers in a row. This is beyond question my favorite. The view of the fjord is breathtaking, and one can (as I did), spend hours just watching the colors change. The place is sleek and stylish, and comfortable. Aesthetically satisfying, with all the amenities one could ask for. Absolutely recommend!

Stunning views
I hope we get a chance to visit this amazing property again! We were so impressed by the overall design and thoughtful touches like the espresso machine. It was the perfect place to come back to after adventures and our meals on the patio were some of my favorite moments from our trip to Iceland.

Design meets nature
We stayed 4 nights at this beautiful home and it was a highlight of our trip. The house is luxurious and the views are mesmerizing. The location is outside of town but a great base for sightseeing. On our way out of town, we drove the opposite way to find one of the best turf houses and churches only 2km away. Don’t miss that. Thank you for our new found peace. Sitting with coffee in bed looking out over the fjord was reviving.

The farm is welcoming and the view is fantastic. It’s not far from Akureyri for those seeking a tranquil setting rich with scenery. Loved seeing the new lambs too. We would definitely stay here again

Fabulous stay!
Stayed over Christmas, lodge was lovely. Really clean, warm and in a stunning location. We were lucky enough to see Whales in the Fjord on the way into Akureyri! Husavik was not far, we used the toll tunnel but you need to remember to pay within 3 hours, although you can go online and add your car so payment is automatically taken. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing view in adorable town
Great property! Roomy and clean. Great big fridge and kitchen and a wonderful view of the Fjord from inside on a comfy couch to outside on the covered patio. There was a mention of a hottub in the manual, but wasn't available. No biggie. The view can't be beat. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful views across the fjord
This was our second visit to Nollur having stayed in Sulur previously.
We booked Krysuvik a year ago and the arrival instructions we were given then have changed. We weren't informed about the key box but this was quickly resolved with a phone call to Anna-Baura.
Krysuvik is a well appointed house and is in a peaceful location with lovely views over the fjord. We were lucky to see humpback whales and pilot whales from the house.
The property is well placed for exploring the northern area of Iceland, e.g. Husavik, Asbyrgi, Myvatn, Godafoss and Dettifoss.
We loved our stay here.

Breathtaking View!
The view from this location is incredible! I could only imagine what it would be like with the northern lights in winter. Good location, the distances to Akureryi (20min), Myvatn (1hr 20 min), Husavik (1hr 15 min) and Dettifoss (2hr 15min) are all very manageable. On the lesser side, the cleanliness of the dishware was not up to the standards set forth by the property managers themselves. This place literally comes with a ton of rules. The check in process was a bit overkill as well.

Top notch Iceland getaway
This property is situated on one of the most beautiful places in Iceland and only 20mins from town. Everything was as described and the owner provided very detailed instructions along with recommendations.
