We absolutely loved our stay at the Krangle Cottage. It had everything we needed, and more! A mid-week check in from Holly was answered with “It’s so great!”. Zero complaints. We loved going to the beach at Porpoise Bay Park, as well as evening dips in the ocean at the beach a few minutes from the place. The many outdoor sitting areas were so nice, particularly the covered deck, and we loved all the character the home had to offer. The shutter windows from the main down to the living space made our girls think of the movie, Mama Mia, so that song was hummed throughout the week! Such a great week. Thank you!

This was the perfect place for our little family and Grandchild to have a relaxing beach vacation. It was great for kids and adults. A very short walk to a nice pebble beach, quiet neighbours and lots of games provided. The house itself is even more amazing than the photos and had so many sitting areas inside and out. I would go again for sure.

Loved this place. Such a great house, minutes away from the beach, super nice community around in Robert’s creek. We stayed with a 5 yr old and a 2.5 yr old. The kids loved the garden and koi pond. The house has so many cosy touches. Blankets, sodas wherever you look, a big open living and kitchen space, thoughtful decorations. Really lovely family vacation spot.

Our family had a good time staying at the Krangle Cottage. Holly is incredibly easy to communicate with. The home is very well equipped and we felt a little guilty using the barbecue and some of the pots and pans as they were brand new. Tons of room for everyone.
The water is really only a block and half away and the views from there are spectacular. But, don't forget sandals or water shoes. It's a very rocky beach (like just about every beach on the Sunshine Coast).
The neighbourhood isn't quite as quiet as some reviews have said. Think more suburban than rural. Barking dogs, power tool use, and a fairly noisy home to one side. Nothing to complain about but just think more of an outlying suburb level of noise then remote wilderness.
The home does have a lot of trees around it, which are beautiful but because of that, you will encounter a fair number of spiders. Nothing overwhelming but I imagine it's a constant battle against the spiders that sneak in and the webs they leave behind. So don't be too surprised if you find a few webs during your stay.
Overall, this is a great home in a very good location. Very easy to travel to Gibsons in one direction and to Sechelt and beyond in the other. We would have no reservations recommending this home to everyone.

Had a wonderful time staying at the Krangle’s’ property. We have a baby and a toddler and the proximity to the beach was excellent. We did have to move a few ornaments out of the reach of small hands! Fish tank in the house and fish pond outside were both a hit!

We had such a wonderful week at the cottage. It felt like home, with everything we could need. On a quiet cul de sac, there was no through traffic and just a 2 minute walk to a popular family beach. The owner was also very accommodating with our schedule. I would highly recommend Holly’s place !

We have rented Krangle Kottage for the last 3 years and can honestly say that you won't find more accommodating hosts, in Holly and Barry. We fell in love with their beautiful home the first time we walked into it and feel it's a privilege that they have opted to share it with us, and our 4 legged friend. In response to the pet hair review, I have to say that it's always been well posted that it's a pet friendly accommodation - that's how we found it in the first place. However the home is always spotless when we arrive and I can't possible imagine if I was super allergic to anything (pets, dust, trees, etc.) that I wouldn't have taken responsibility to inquire ahead of booking, that the accommodations were suitable. It irks me to read something like that when in fact it's an absolutely charming, well-equipped, centrally located, and perfectly clean home that you'd be lucky to get to spend a week in the summer in! We'll be heading off to Krangle Kottage in a few days, sadly without our 4 legged friend this year, but can hardly wait to settle in, have a glass on wine on the cozy front deck and do like the locals do...chill!

Holly was a pleasure to deal with and one of the more accommodating hosts I've dealt with. House was in immaculate condition when we arrived. Very open concept which was great for a family trip - there are spots to get away from the kids for a few minutes and relax while still feeling connected to everyone (loft for the TV room). Kitchen has beautiful patio off it that opens right up with some outdoor benches to relax on. Private yard and about a 3min drive to "downtown" Roberts Creek. Nice size aquarium as well our kid (and me!) loved. Will definitely be back.

My family and I stayed at this place for a week, and it was overall a great experience. The beach is a short walk away, it's a bit of a hike to restaurants and groceries but you should be OK if you have a car. Roberts Creek "central plaza" is easy to reach by bike. There you can eat at the Gumboot restaurant or have coffee at a little cafe. Aside from that you can go Gibsons which is a 15 to 20 minute drive, which is also where the ferry is. It's close to natural beauty, lots of hiking and biking around.
Though my partner is allergic to cats she had no problems in the house at all.
The house is fully stocked with fresh towels, great cooking supplies and games for rainy days! I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a BC nature getaway!
