We really enjoyed our stay and the faboulos choice of movies in the "cinema hut". Everything we needed, even the beach, is just a short walk away.

Classic thatched cottage in a great location on the front. It had everything we needed. The outdoor shower and space to dry wetsuits were great. We loved the hand built kitchen and the garden cottage and decking area were a big bonus.
The cottage does have low ceilings and doorways and so if you are tall beware of bumped heads.
The dishwasher rack and cutlery basket could do with being replaced.

Both myself and my son had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Capstan Cottage.
We spent our week section hiking the SWCP which was literally just outside our front door.
The cottage had everything we needed.
I was in the double room. I can’t tell you how much I was soothed to sleep, hearing the sound of the sea. My bed, too, was super comfy, lovely plump, firm pillows….perfect. But waking up to that view, now that was something special ….wow ….:just WOW.
The cottage sort of wraps round you. It’s hard to explain but there was something so calming about it. Standing at the island cooker, with the the top of the barn door open, browning onions while watching the world go by, fishing boats bobbing on the waves and always that sound of the sea. Magical.
My son is on the autistic spectrum and found the cinema cabin facilities superb. He could hook his laptop up to the projector and keep in contact with all his dungeon and dragon groups as well as watch Star Wars sagas in B I G technicolour (ok..so maybe that was me too).
We also visited the Sennen market on Tuesday. I can definitely recommend it. Lots of delicious, good quality, local food, produce and crafts. I bought myself some beautiful handmade silver earrings.
We can also highly recommend the Sennen cove chippy. They were THE best fish and chips we’ve ever eaten. Crispy chips and crunchy battered, fat, fresh, flaky cod. We ended up going back for our last nights supper. I’m drooling just remembering.
Communication was spot on and when I forgot my phone and binoculars Ruth returned them special delivery so both arrived the next day. (I know ….superb, huh!)
Thank you so much, Ruth for a fantastic holiday.
We’ll definitely be back 🥰

Really nice property - the cinema room was far better than expected - bring popcorn! (And any must watch blurays) really great set up - the on.y minus is having to walk back to the cottage kf its started raining and you have not thought to bring a brolly or coat
Kitchen is great, a few hidden drawers which caught us out initially - the cottage is really walm and to be able to listen to the sea at night is great. The local pub is nice and being able to stroll out to hpthe beach or along the coastal path without havjng to any driving is a real bonus

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Capstan Cottage, it was as lovely this time as the last. Real home from home, and on the beach too. Hope to return again soon.

Never stayed in an older property before but think I’m converted . Well appointed kitchen has everything you need ( washing machine in lean- to /porch ) and lovely stable door looking out to harbour . Great quality mattresses/ pillows and linen . We were fortunate that the weather was great bar one stormy day but that’s what you want so you can watch the waves crash over the harbour wall from all the windows to the front . Good excuse to use wood burning stove for extra cosy feeing. Loved the addition of the extra room outside where our son was able to do a bit of studying whilst watching films on the projector. Used the wooden decking area at the top of the garden for a couple of outside meals too . Parking for 2 vehicles including a T5 van . Lovely cottage hopefully will get back next year . Ruth the owner was lovely to deal with too .

What a way to see in the New Year. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the sea. Enjoying the ambience of a quirky well-fitted out cottage; with an abundance of history. A stones throw from the harbour, shop, cafe and pub. We absolutely loved it. The cabin was an added bonus we didn’t expect. Private parking in such a key location was brilliant. The power shower after a winter swim was very much appreciated. We’ll definitely be back in the summer to be able to experience the decked patio and beautiful views (a little too cold for breakfast in December). Thank you so much for an amazing break.
