Exceptional

Wonderful place to stay. Clean, well equiped apartement with nice view. Owner was really friendly and kind. He was taking care of us all the time. He recommends us local restaurant and organize trip to Ile aux Cerf for us. I highly recommend to opt for this apartement. Service and atmosphere was just perfect. Village Deux Freres is place where you can meet locals and taste local quisine. Hope to return soon.

Very good

Very nice place located in a small remote village. The host, Rajesh, was very friendly and helpful. He helped us with a rental car as well as a local sim card from the day we arrived. The highlight of our stay was having authentic mauritian dinner at the little restaurant of Rajesh's friend a few minutes away.

-A bit noisy early in the morning from the nearby temple at prayer time -Breakfast was quite scarce for our taste -Also, a coffee machine would be great

Home stay near the river

Rajesh is an optimal host! He was very welcoming and helped where he could. He helped us book a boat tour to the falls and to Ile aux Cerfs with lunch which was very good. One of the nicest beaches is about 18min drive (in Trou d'eau Douce). The apartment was spacious and clean, we had all the equipment we needed and if we needed anything else Rajesh or his wife were there to help. It's set in a beautiful environment near the river with lots of greenery. There's running hot water, comfy beds, a nice and huge terrace and a lively bird life to watch from the terrace. The aircon is new and working quietly and effectively (in the bedroom). I think a big advantage Rajesh is offering is free pickup/dropoff from/to the airport + he has a car rental company to offer cars at a reasonable price.

The property is relatively far from points of interest but if you have a car you can reach everything within 15-30 minutes. Price wise hard to beat though ;) Since the property is near a river, get ready to frog concertos during the night. Same goes for dog barking. This is not the property's fault, therefore for me it's still a 10 out of 10. Rajesh and his wife were just fantastic!

Great owner, also is possible for very good price rent a car with compliment pick up and delivery service. You can get very practical informations and recommendation about locality, where to go shopping and have a dinner. Thanks!

They brought us breakfast every morning. According to our wishes, they also arranged trips for us with a driver, who also helped us as a guide. We spent Christmas in a place that we fell in love with at first sight and felt at home there. AC and wifi were functional. After a busy day, full of interesting trips, we could relax on the terrace, from which there is a beautiful view. We took away many experiences and beautiful memories. Thank you very much.

Rajesh and his wife gave a very warm welcome! The apartment is a home away from home. Clean and spacious with a fully equipped kitchen. For breakfast Rajesh brought us fresh bread every morning while fruits, different cereal, jam, coffee, tea etc. where already in the kitchen. The balcony, has a nice view to the river and plenty of space to relax. You can also ask Rajesh to help you with booking a boat for Ile aux cerfs at a fair price, the boats leave directly from there which is super convenient.

Highly recommend Rajesh and his services - room and car rental

Rajesh is just the perfect host, very helpful for us with everything even before landing in Mauritius for the first time and during all our stay, even if we booked one of his apartment only for the last days! The room and facilities were just perfect. The view over the river is really lovely. Even if the location is not very near to a beach, there are options at small driving distance. I highly recommend Rajesh and his apartments!! Last but not least, I highly recommend his car renting services! We had one of his 5 cars, a Toyota in very good condition, for all our stay in Mauritius. Very good price and excellent service!

Friendly owners, everything functional, clean, large terrace, nice view. There is no beach in the town, but if you have a car, everything is close. We were satisfied here, I recommend the accommodation.

Loved it!

Rajesh and his family were very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable and nice. Rajesh helped us organizing trips, rented us a great car and was always there for any of our questions. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast could been improved in terms of quantity. The water temperature in the shower was challenging to adjust.

Rajesh who owns the property, met us at the airport in the car we were hiring from him. He was helpful with our luggage and of great assistance on arrival to the property. Food and drink was there and fresh bread. Trips could be arranged through him and his friend had a restaurant not far from where we were staying. The view of the river was excellent and the apartment was like home from home with large rooms and verandah. We would definately rebook with Rajesh and his wife again. Car hire was good and in good working order.

Rajesh is a very passionated host und does everything to make his guests feel good. We felt welcomed and comfortable from the first second. Whenever we asked for something, Rajesh reacted very quickly and found a solution. He gave us breakfast even though we didnt book one. The apartment was very cozy, clean and well equipped. We didnt miss anything. We'd recommend the accomodation to everyone.

Very good

Super friendly hosts and a very spacious apartment that was well equipped. Balcony was really big and nice, and breakfast was a nice addition to the stay. I liked how the hosts asked for feedback face to face before we left, so we could mention anything we missed with the room (we we're really happy with it though).

We only got cold water from the shower, but this has apparently been fixed :)

Holidays in paradise

The service, facility and the price were very good. Location is perfect. The apartment is right at the Grand River shore. Rajesh and his wife are fantastic hosts, always checking if guests needed anything. The apartment is fully equipped (functioning kitchen, washing machine etc). The owner also has a car rental company and the cars are for the fraction of what you would have to pay at the airport. Breakfasts were simple but delicious. Rajesh also helps with organising trips/tours/fishing etc. Highly recommended.

Great value for money, Wonderful hosts!

The apartment was more spacious than anticipated. It was very clean and easy to reach from the airport. It had every amenity that one can think of, to make one’s stay comfortable. This was the first stop of our trip and the most amazing local experience and Mauritian welcome, due to the FANTASTIC service we received from Rajesh and Madvi. They were wonderful hosts and made it an unforgettable experience!

Rajesh and his family are very very kind and we felt very welcome. We also rented a car from Rajesh. The car was very nice and everything worked out perfectly. Rajesh was even so kind to pick up the car at mahebourg! We can totally recommend a stay at his place!

We were delighted by the approach of Rajesh and his amazing wife! We both enjoyed our stay very much and if we should ever come back to Mauritius, we would stay there again. Rajesh organized a trip for us for a fair price, helped to arrange a car rental, and was available all the time. The flat is very modern, clean and well equipped, we didn't have any problems during our short stay. Also breakfast was very nice and tasty.

I can't say anything negative. Only that Rajesh should exchange the can opener :) But that's more of a joke.

Rajesh and his family are perfect hosts. It was our first accommodation in Mauritius and a very easy start. Rajesh came to pick us up from the airport and helped us organize a sim card and took us to the next supermarket. We got a continental breakfast with fresh fruit on our own terrace with a nice view over the river. Even when you are cooking your own meal you can see the river from the kitchen. The apartment is tidy, clean and very thought through - has everything you need. It's a good location to explore the island and Rajesh is always reachable if you have any questions or need advice. E.g. he organized a boat tour to Isle aux Cerf with BBQ for us and the boat startet just below the house.

Definitely nothing to complain about! You should rent a car if you want to explore the island from here. Rajesh rents his cars even if you're not staying in one of his apartments for a reasonable prize and delivers it to the airport! Make sure to organize transport in advance. And the neighborhood dogs might bark at night but there is nothing you can do about it ;)

Your home on the east

Perfect location for exploring eastern part of the island. The apartament has everything one should require. Fully equipped kitchen, air conditioned room with comfortable bed, very good internet connection, big terrace with a view, surround system tv (but we did not use it)... Rajesh and his family are very nice, really helpful and can arrange a number of things, from cheap car rental to traditional dinner.

If you think you are spoiled - go to a resort, if not - stay here. :-)

Good accomodation with everything you need in the village Deux freres. If you plan a day trip to Ile aux cerfs the Riverside Holiday Home is the right adress ! Rajesh and his wife (owners and hosts) care a lot about their guests and make sure you have everything you need.

Excellent value for money

The apartment is very spacious and equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The terrace is big and has nice view over the river. Mavdi and Rajesh are very hospitable and great hosts. The also organized us a boat trip to waterfall and the magnificent Ille aux Cerf for a very competitive price.

The bed could have been a little softer. We didn't mind the fact there is air-conditioning only in the bedroom and not in the living room as we didn't spend time inside during the day, but it could be a problem during cyclone when you have to stay in the apartment.

Very pleasant stay with super attentive hosts

The owners went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Particularly noteworthy are their efforts to ensure the apartment was ready for us despite our very early arrival. Incredibly customer focused, we had a great stay at an excellent value for money.

it’s not about the property as such, but about the location: options to dine out within walking distance are extremely limited.

Great stay for families with kids

We were traveling with a ten months old baby. The place was perfect for it - it was sparkling clean, safe for children and with a fully equipped kitchen. We were able to check in early as well. Rajesh and his family even provided us with a high chair for the baby and they were supportive and helpful in any way. We also rented a car from Rajesh - a nice car with air conditioning, good rates and he even picked us up from the airport for free. Rajesh and his family are very lovely people. We felt very welcome from the first second. We really enjoyed our stay and we can highly recommend this lovely place.

It was so perfect! The hosts are really friendly and helpful. Apartment is very well equipped. Breakfast is sufficient and they have the best bananas on the island! You can rent a car (I recommend)

The accomodaition is great. Hosts Madvi and Rajesh are friendly and polite and help with every need. We travel with our son 6 years old,he made friends with their daughters and they were playing together all days long. We stayed over a Christmas time-and there was a proper Christmas Tree and our son received from them Teddy Bear as a gift, which he likes a lot. Madvi organize Ile aux Cerfs trip for very good price. They also have cars for rent for the best price with free delivery and pickup at the airport-if you want to explore Mauritius-it's the best place to rent (recommend to book in advance -Rajesh will reserve it for you). Without any doubt i recommend to stay at Riverside Holiday Home if you want to feel like home.
