Nice and cozy with beach view

The location. The beach just in front and Palmar Beach within walking distance. Boats to Il Aux Cerfs just literally around the corner. Quite good choices of supermarkets, restaurants and takeaway shops.
The owners were especially nice. Very pleasant and professional. I was allowed to remain until after checkout time as my return flight was in the evening.
Good privacy.
Good facilities. Can cook, has a microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and an iron and ironing board. Clothes line to hang out your washed clothes. Lovely dining area.
Some locals & staff may ask questions to the point that it gets uncomfortable and become quite inquisitive.

I loved the location, view onto sea from my room and the simple stylish contemporary design. The staff were so friendly going the extra mile to make my stay so relaxing and pleasant after hiking across the country.
There was some scaffolding around the side of the building but this is not peak season so it’s understandable and it’s temporary.

The location is right in front the beach.
I was quite deceived for my short stay there. I had four guests and when I booked through Booking. com I was proposed the Garden View bungalow with 3 rooms. My checkin time was noon on a Sunday but I was a bit late so they left the keys on a table. I called the mob I was given but no one picked up nor returned my call. Earlier the guy told me that he would be in a completion and won't ne available but I thought at least someone would be there at the reception but no. Reaching there was not easy. Google map doesn't help to reach to the right bungalow among the various ones. The bungalow itself is quite small with only 2 rooms and small luving room. One of my guests had to return back given the lack of space.

I recently stayed at the self-catering holiday apartment and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. The apartment was very well situated, right on the beach, and it offered stunning views of the ocean.
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with how clean and well-maintained the apartment was. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they made sure that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The apartment itself was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities that I needed, including a fully-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a spacious living area What really set this apartment apart for me was the location. Being right on the beach meant that I had easy access to the water and could spend my days lounging in the sun, swimming in the sea, or taking long walks along the shore.
It was the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and natural beauty, and I would definitely stay here again in the future. If you're looking for a relaxing, beachfront getaway, then this apartment is the perfect choice!

We also liked the cleanliness and fresh bedsheets n towels.
Some noises at night, people near the beach with their music and cars with loud music passing by..

It's a beautiful beach house located at the beach. Rooms were neat and clean, barbeque facility was also available in the property . Really enjoyed our stay.

Good location, everything in the apartment you need.

Good value for the money. Nice people and sea view. Good location for excursions to the Ile aux Cerfs.
A basic but fair breakfast can be arranged for approx. 5 euro.
Parking available inside the location (although a very limited number of spaces).
Although the property is right on a picturesque local beach, the water is not very clear / clean.
The windows cannot be fully closed.
The bed is not very comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay here, situated in the heart of Trou d'Eau Douce, a small town. At Collibri, we stayed in the red house - which contains 4 studios all looking onto the sea. (There are other Collibri apartments behind. I cannot comment on them).
Our apartment was simple, and wonderful. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the boat activity, and the gorgeous sea. The kitchen was small but adequate and fairly well equipped.
It's not always quiet there - motor boats, dogs barking, locals cheerfully playing soccer some late afternoons on the nearby public beach. Having said that, these sounds occur sometimes, and actually, they are part of the charm of the place.
The staff at Collibri are all delightful, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
We swam in front of the villa, and took long walks along the beach everyday.
This area is typical of the old Mauritius - not with modern, large shopping centres, or fancy restaurants. Rather it has lots of small restaurants and shops where the locals go - a wonderful atmosphere. (There are, by the way, very good restaurants, with a high standard, for example Chez Tino and Green Island - reasonably priced. Across the road from Collibri, is Joe Snacks, a small restaurant. They serve good portions for very reasonable prices. We got take aways a few times from them. Very sweet lady there).
Collibri is also within short walking distance of Robin de Mer, which does fun boat trips to Ile aux Cerf. Tourists drive all the way across the main island to go to Ile aux Cerfs. NB its worth doing the full package, including going to the waterfalls.
Collibri is close to the bus stop: We chose not to hire a car, and used public buses - very cheap, great fun, giving insight into how the locals live. You can hire cars and scooters in the town if you like.

it’s located directly on the beach. we stayed in the beach front house with a lovely view over the ocean. it rained the whole day which was sad so we couldn’t really use any of that but I imagine it to be a nice place if the sun is out. the apartment is clean and looks pretty good.
we didn’t like the whole village. from
all of the places we stayed in Mauritius this one has a different vibe, which we didn’t like so much. it’s also not easy to eat outside a lot. you have few options, we always eat local, but if you want to eat In real good restaurants, there are not many. we stayed for one night because we wanted to go to the island, I wouldn’t stay for much longer, but for the night it was absolutely good

We had a nice stay at Colibri Beach Villa. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The location is great. It is directly at the beach only a few steps and you are there. They offered us a late checkout as our flight back home departed in the early evening. Thank you very much

For me it was best location in Mauritius. Stayed there for one week, basecamp for cycling and discovering surroundings. It was so quiet and relaxing.

The apartment was enormous in size. Patricia is a great and was extremely helpful. Parking was available on site. The garden was well maintained and the beach in front of the apartment was awesome (best one around) with possibility to go directly from there to Ille de Cerf.
The equipment of the apartment shows its age and some parts should be already refurbished, although this fact is reflected in low price per night.
