Was a great 4 days. Beautiful location. Little remote if planning to spend a lot of time in Paris, though the train system is great. Plan to make a trip to the market to pick up essentials, food, drinks, cooking spices, paper products, etc. Plenty of dishes, (wonderful), would have liked to have more towels. All in all, recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the château. The home and surroundings were just what we needed after making our daytrips into Paris and other surrounding areas. The caretaker, Jerome, was very helpful and the owners were very responsive to questions and requests. The home has everything you need to make your stay a memorable one. Our only recommendation would be to have the Teflon pots & pans replaced with stainless or cast iron, as they are quite scratched. But that was such a small thing compared to everything else that was fantastic. We would and have recommended staying here to other friends and family.

We had a lovely week's holiday in this property despite poor weather - it is exactly as photographed. We all loved the table tennis in the basement, the g/kids also enjoyed playing hide and seek in such a quirky property. The dishwasher was a bonus and as there is a washing machine and tumble dryer, I even went home with clean clothes.
We saw deer and a boar at the feeder near the lake.
Unfortunately, sat nav took us to the wrong place - make sure you go to La Framboisiere not Saucelle. The property is on the N25 between Verneuil-sur-Avre and La Framboisiere - google maps is accurate!
We all took the train from La Loupe to Paris for the day and had a great day - rhe g/kids were delighted to see the eiffel tower. Some of the family also did a day trip to disneyland.
Verneuil-sur-avre is definitely worth a visit - had a lovely meal there too. Bakery in Senonches recommended by Jerome was excellent and the Friday market was worth a visit too.

After the bustle of Paris it was great to relax here in the countryside. Jerome was very accommodating. One bit of advice - if you are going to take the short hike to La Saucelle via the back trail, first find out how to get through the fence gate.

We were so impressed by the property. The pictures are accurate. We had such a wonderful stay. The caretaker, Jerome, was amazing. The grounds were so beautiful and the house incredible. We will definitely stay again!!

This property is exactly what you would expect if you feel you are royalty! The communication with the owners is excellent if you speak any language! The grounds keeper Jerome was wonderful and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful. We were even able to see some deer. This palace is an absolute dream. Thank you for making our family feel special and welcomed. Kind regards...Jorge

Our multi generational family group, ranging from 5 to 85 years old, descended on Chateau Buffalo this summer.
We were blown away by the chateau and grounds, and loved exploring the house, and walking and cycling around our private forest and lake. We spotted kites, deer, frogs and toads! (Beware the wild boar, but we didn't see any.)
The space in the chateau is perfect for large group activities, and we enjoyed lots of party games in the lounge. There was also good WiFi throughout the house.
Our weather was mixed but on sunny days the immense lawn was perfect for frisbee, badminton, volleyball and football. When it was rainy, table tennis in the cellar was a good option.
There are several good sized supermarkets 10-15 minutes away by car, and a selection of restaurants within the same range.
We had a lovely time here and were well looked after by the on-site caretaker Jerome. Being just a 2 hour drive from Dieppe makes this property very accessible from the UK.

This is such a beautiful unique property I can not say enough about how special it is. The property manager Jerome was so kind and helpful, extremely patient with our horrible french. He suggested local attractions and basically made sure we had an amazing stay. The Chateau itself was amazing, so many bedrooms and most of the bathrooms are newly renovated, the ping pong table in the basement helped pass a rainy afternoon. We did lots of hiking on the property grounds seeing foxes, deer and lots of rabbits. I fully intend to stay here again the next time we visit France, hopefully we will speak the language better by then! Thank you Jerome and Luc for sharing this property!

Amazing place well kept with lots of space and well kept with thoughtful touches such as a games cupboard and table tennis table Children loved the fantastic grounds and spotting the wildlife. Chairs could be a little more comfortable but very stylish. Spiral staircase superb but could be a problem for some. Jerome very welcoming and friendly. A great stay and would strongly recommend

Amazing Property and Surroundings 5*
Wow, what a property.
The communication before our arrival was great and the caretaker was always available to answer any questions.
The gardens, main house, facilities and the huge woodland areas were great and the views from the rooms were fantastic too.
We spent much of our time in the kitchen area and in the garden and woods for walks. Dog friendly too but keep them in at night due to the deer and wild boars!
Nice to have table tennis and good internet too.
Great for friends and families or go as a couple to have all of the space :) You have the use 7 bedrooms for up to 14 people.
I would recommend this special property and we hope to come back again one day.
Thanks

Historic and charming chateau - perfect spot for relaxing vacations!
We had a wonderful vacation week in this beautiful castle. The Chateau de Buffalo offers a lot of space not just for a family like us – you can easily enjoy your time with many more people! There are 7 charming bedrooms – many of which even with an en-suite bathroom (and none with a ghost ) – and all of them with amazing views of the calm and beautiful landscape around the castle. The kitchen is well equipped and very spacious. You can find nice details in and around the castle. There are no direct neighbors in sight – we just got regularly visits by deers and rabbits On the whole huge fenced area – including the large forest and a lake – there is just one further inhabited building where Jerome (the keeper of the area and the castle) lives. Even though we couldn’t speak very much French it was easy to communicate – and Jerome was very helpful in case we needed him. With a car you can easily reach many beautiful destinations in the Normandy: we liked especially the beautiful coastline with the capital Rouen, the small coastal cities Honfleur, Trouville and Deauville as well as the awarded wonderful little villages like Lyons-la-Foret. Shops for your supplies or close-by-restaurants you can reach by car within a few minutes – either in Senoches (< 10 min) or in the lovely medieval town of Verneuil d'Avre et d'Iton (15 min – more shops & restaurants). We definitely recommend this very special place!
