About this house rental
The Hermitage is the oldest house in Rayol, built in 1910 in what was still only the maritime side of the gigantic Forêt des Maures.
Its gardens then extended to the sea where the current beach is located.
Its exceptional location between sea and mountains but close to the Village makes it a dream family destination.
Unforgettable panorama on the Levant and Port Cros Islands as well as on the Gardens of the Mediterranean.
Located under the main road, the House has a direct pedestrian access to the sea which goes through the large landscaped stairs bordered by palm trees, which offers complete safety for children. Absolute calm.
The secure access leads to a large Private Parking that can accommodate 4 cars.
A staircase descends to the main entrance of the House, and continues on the left through the Tropical Garden to the Infinity Pool.
On the right, an Independent Cabanon opens onto the Boules Ground. Above, a vast Solarium enjoys an incomparable view of the Islands.
The House itself is spread over three levels.
The ground floor, main floor, has a large fully equipped kitchen, the dining room, a living room, a large entrance hall and a Suite opening onto a large terrace. The Dining Room also overlooks another Large Terrace allowing dining outside.
On the First Floor, a Large Master Suite with bath, a Boudoir, a Library, a second Suite with balcony.
On the garden level, the first Suite opens directly onto the swimming pool, separated from another Suite by the small Winter Lounge which houses the Home Cinema.
Behind the utility room then the cellars and technical installations.
In total, the Main House offers five Suites equipped with a 160 cm bed and a Private Bathroom. An additional sleeping place is at the Boudoir.
Le Cabanon Indépendant has a Suite with a large 160 cm bed, a bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen.
For family walks, the old railway line of the little train from Hyères to Saint-Raphaël has been transformed into a magnificent cycle track which allows you to reach Lavandou or Saint-Tropez safely. (Access is only 200m from the House.)
Hikers will be delighted with countless walks along the coastal paths or through the forests of the Massif des Maures which can easily be reached by the Col du Canadel and its Crest roads which offer extraordinary panoramas of the Iles d 'Gold.
Finally, the village center is only a 5-minute walk away with a bakery, grocery store, tobacco and caterer on hand ...

Wonderful villa with amazing seaview
Wonderfully modernised old villa in a superb location. Great interior design and breathtaking views across the Mediterranean from nearly all places. Good infrastructure with both a supermarket, a bakery, a bank and a recommendable restaurant within walking distance. Nice local market every Friday just across the street. Rayol itself is only a short distance to Le Lavandou (great beach) and Saint-Tropez (wonderful shopping, glitzy nightlife and fashionable bars and restaurants).

Merci

We really loved our stay in the villa which is perfectly renovated, fully equipped and her location is just perfect - nice walk to the beach, amazing view and close to the bakery, which is in France very important:) We wish to come back!

Beautiful villa
This is a beautifully renovated villa, very clean and bright, in a very privileged position looking out to the islands of Le Levant and Porquerolles in the Mediterranean. The house has all the latest modern equipment you could possibly need, is very practical and spacious with lovely floors, bathrooms and an interesting staircase a bit like the funnel of a ship, leading to the upper floors. There is also a wonderful granite infinity swimming pool. Proximity to the local shops made getting provisions very easy. There is safe,(i.e. not much traffic) picturesque access to the beach down terraces and steps through lovely vegetation. We particularly enjoyed walks along the old railway line and in the hills above the village and also playing "boules" on the designated area beside the house. There are plenty of good restaurants round and about and it is only a few kilometers from the town of Cavalaire which has lots of shops, a market and quite a large port. Definitely a rental opportunity I would recommend to friends.
