1 Bedroom 1 Bathroom pet-friendly apartment which is the lower right side of the home located across from Clymer park and adjacent to Senior Center and Gulfport Library. Newly renovated bathroom. The Gecko Cove sits 2 blocks from downtown and has plenty of parking. It is located three blocks from tennis and basketball courts, and a playground. Property accommodates 2 persons. Amenities included. The house is located in Gulfport. Gulfport is a very quaint, small, friendly beach community very close to downtown St Petersburg and St Pete beach. It is full of parks, piers, culture, and delicious dining. The colorful town is buzzing with activity from Fresh Markets every Tuesday showcasing fresh produce, breads, seafood, and condiments to Art Walks the first Friday and third Saturday of every month featuring musicians, artists, and food vendors.
Gulfport celebrates several annual festivals including Get Rescued supporting pet rescues in February, SpringFest highlighting local artists in March, a 4th of July parade, and a Labor Day street fair called Gecko Fest.

The property was exactly as advertised. Absolutely adorable and everything you need for your visit to Gulfport! This unit is walking distance to all downtown activities and restaurants/bars. One bonus not mentioned previously was the beach chairs in the unit available for your days at the beach! We will definitely book again!

The property was clean, and in a nice neighborhood with easy access to restaurants and the beach. It was also in a good location to visit various areas on the gulf side of Florida. The host was communicative and helpful when needed.

Nice spot next to a park and within a 5-10 minute walk to shops and dog-friendly restaurants in Gulfport. The house is part of a triplex and is clean, comfortable, and has a nice private outdoor deck. It's not the roomiest accommodation, but it is fine for two people with two smaller dogs. The only downside, and this is no fault of the host, is that Gulfport does not allow dogs on the beach (which seems to be common in Florida).

Great stay at this property. The bikes were an excellent addition to the rental. This property is an easy bike ride to Gulfport Beach, restaurants, and shops. The property was extremely clean and had everything we needed for a great weekend trip. Highly recommend this property and I hope to stay here again on our next trip to Gulfport.

The unit is small but just right for 2. The kitchen and bath were well supplied and nicely decorated. The king size bed is what I look for in a property and it was very nice. The view from the front sunroom was enjoyable. We would rent here again.

We had a wonderful time in the Gecko House. Tastefully decorated in a beachy theme. Loved the colors of the unit. Walking distance to Gulfport restaurants and shops. Easy drive to St Pete beach. Everything was perfect!

This jewel nestled in the Historic Waterfront District of Gulfport was absolutely shining! The interior was picture perfect and a delightful place to stay. We will be coming back in late fall and hope to book this wonderful oasis again. The amenities were abundant, the bed most comfortable, and the neighbors quiet. What more could anyone want?

I really loved this little apartment. It was so pretty and very comfortable. The front room was wonderful for yoga, reading and relaxing. I loved watching all the people walking & riding by. The huge live oaks and the park are beautiful. Just a few blocks walk into town and down to the beach. Great restaurants, shopping , bars and music! I loved Gulfperk, A Friend Who Bakes, The Ice Cream Shop,Neptune Grill outside patio, Pia’s, Northend Taphouse and Gulfport Brewery . Would totally recommend Maddy’s Spa, it’s in walking distance . Also really enjoyed Sunset Dolphin Cruise from Salty Pelican Tours in Gulfport.

This wonderful stay in Gulfport’s unique art district will not disappoint! The decor and interior design represent everything there is to love about Gulfport. The property owner provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. The communication and check-in/check-out process was seamless. It’s within walking distance to the shops and restaurants downtown, yet quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be returning!

We loved staying at Robert's Gecko Cottage! The kitchen was nicer than the ones we have at home, with everything we needed for our week-long stay. We walked often to the nearby shops, restaurants, and the water, or across the street to the park. Easy access to The Gulf beaches, Tampa/St. Pete. On the nicer mornings, we enjoyed our coffee on the porch, and on the cooler/wet days, we sat in the bonus sunroom to watch the sun come through the live oaks in the park. Would stay again!

My son and I stayed here the week before he started his sophomore year of college nearby. The Gulfport neighborhood is a great place to stay with lots to do. The unit is very well maintained and feels new even though it is in an older home. It’s very private and has its own parking area which was very convenient. We hope to stay there again next year!

My husband and I enjoyed a weeklong stay in Gulfport to see our daughter. The Gecko House was perfect. Close enough to do daily walks to downtown, but quiet for reading a good book. Parking was a breeze. Never used the bikes- maybe next time.
Our dog enjoyed the short walk to the park across the street and the long walks through the various neighborhoods. The enclosed deck was a nice touch to keep her safe while we relaxed. Our best Vrbo to date!

This charming cottage was fresh and modern and a close walk to the neighborhood’s vibrant restaurants and boutique shops. Our dog had plenty of room to play in the park right outside our door. We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning and felt lucky to soak up some Florida sunshine.

My husband and I are extremely busy and planned a quiet weekend getaway. The home delivered. Everything was as advertised…super clean, charming and very peaceful. We enjoyed being able to walk to the small downtown area…cute shops, restaurants and bars. Water activities were only short drive away. Kitchen was well-stocked and had new appliances if you wanted to prepare your own meal. Our one recommendation would be a smart TV so guests can access their streaming subscriptions if they want to have a movie night. Thanks for the great stay Robert! We hope to plan a return trip soon.

Me and my wife had a blast exploring the coastal towns along the Sun coast, the gecko house was a big part of the experience. Robert is a good host, house was stock with everything you need, coffee, towels, body wash, even toothbrush and paste. Also has a washer and dryer room on property. Me and my wife is looking forward to coming back to Gulfport for a week stay next summer.

Loved the spot. Absolutely perfect for one or two people. Everything was comfortable. It was a lovely surprise to find snacks on the counter and water in the fridge and, even though I didn't need it, toiletries available for the shower. It was perfect location with easy access to eats and shopping. To top it off, wonderful that my senior dog with bad arthritis could get up the outside steps without any problems. Definitely on my list for stay should I come back to that part of the Gulf for vacay.

We knew we were in the right place as soon as we stepped thru the door. The unit was so fresh and clean. The apartment is smartly decorated, very comfortable and has all the amenities you could want. The location was perfect, it was a short walk into the center of Gulfport where we enjoyed the many restaurants and shops. The host was also very accommodating and responsive.
The only small drawback was the size of the living room, it was kind of small. But the weather was so nice and the deck was so peaceful we really didn’t spend much time inside.
We would most definitely choose this property again, if for a week or even a few days. Most definitely!

This little apartment is utterly charming. At the time I rented it (January 2021) the pictures may have been out of date, because the apartment far surpassed our expectations. It is one of the best-designed and best-decorated rental properties I have ever seen.The most striking feature is the quality of the interior design. Everything looked newly painted or newly remodeled, and with high-quality materials. There are two heavy sliding doors that both look great and conserve space. The countertops and cabinetry are wood and a nice, heavy synthetic stone, and are color coordinated. The shower, with its mosaic floor of sea glass pieces, is a delight.The apartment is definitely small, but it has everything you need – as long as you understand that the main dining space is the exterior side porch (which is nicely shaded by a giant live oak.) The toilet area is the only spot that is a bit too tight, so if you are over 6’ tall, you probably won’t be able to sit on the commode (your knees will hit the half-wall of the shower.)The location is also very good. It takes about 5 minutes to walk (3 blocks?) into the busy downtown area, which allows some sight-seeing and protects you from noise. The green park across the street gives nice views from the front room. Very little traffic passes by the house.The amenities that came with the apartment were excellent. Having bikes was a big money saver and a lot of fun; I biked all the way to the St. Petersburg pier using only bike paths (Clam Bayou Trail to Skyway Trail to Pinellas Trail.) We used the laundry facilities. There were even free charcoal briquets for the BBQ grill (each apartment has one.)Bob, the manager, is a handyman, and he seems to live nearby, so any problems were addressed immediately. I requested a second door-mat at the porch, and it immediately appeared.I am grateful for and appreciative of a property and a manager that provided me with such nice housing here in Gulfport.

Wonderful place to stay, super clean, wonderful deck off the kitchen door to enjoy morning coffee . Short walk from downtown Gulfport, wonderful restaurants, the Pier and beach. Know there are multiple units in this building, walls can be thin, but did not cause an issue as everyone seemed respectful. Attention to detail with this rental is fantastic as bicycles , beach chairs and a common laundry were included. Great place to stay maintained by great people!
