About this apartment rental
The apartment is situated in the heart of the village of La Flotte, which was awarded the title of one of the “Plus Beaux Villages de France”. It is on ground floor in a small complex less than half a mile from shops, services and the médiéval market. It is very light and has tiled flooring throughout.
With two bedrooms it can easily accommodate 4 people, but has the possibility of sleeping up to 6 using the sofa-bed (with a Bultex mattress 140*190) in the living-room.
The open plan living-room, west facing, includes a fully equipped kitchen, with 2 zones induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, multi-function oven , mixer, Nespresso, kettle.
Private terrace (11m2), with hedges and including garden furniture and electrical awning.
Hallway includes cupboards, wardrobes and leads to 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds, east-facing.
Bathroom has both bathtub and shower, electric towel rail, hair dryer.
Separate toilets.
Allocated car-parking space.
Shared, heated swimming pool (from end of April to early October), with sunloungers and parasols.
Free wifi internet access.
Washing machine and tumble dryer available in complex.

We had stayed in this apartment once before with our children a few years ago and now returned as a couple.
It has a good sized parking space, a sunny private terrace and plenty of space inside. There are so many places to eat within a short walk we didn’t bother to cook much though we did need to reserve the earlier in the day or the day before in the evening.
We hired bikes for the week but the weather was so warm we also spent a lot of time by the pool .
Everything was perfect !

Great place to stay, beware transit to & from airport
The apartment was impeccable, very small kitchen, but all as described. Lovely pool, only small gripe was we don’t think it’s cleaned every day and saw something that put us off swimming until the overnight clean had been done one night. That being said, it was very hot and there had been a lot of folk having a lovely time cooling off, so it was probably getting above average use. We cycled far and wide every day and it was lovely to come back and relax by the pool, with other friendly residents (some who own properties there). La Jolie Brise is perfectly positioned, with shops and harbour within a few minutes walking distance. There were only two of us, but the apartment, which stayed wonderfully cool, would have been perfect for 4 people with 2 generous size bedrooms.
Really the only problem was the airport transfer, there are no buses to the island from the airport, except July and August, it is essential to pre-book your taxi to and from the airport when you book your flight (use local taxis otherwise it could cost £150 +) As we asked the owners, we were disappointed that they couldn’t recommend anyone, but we visited the tourist office and found there are 2 taxi companies in La Flotte - we used Beatrice Taxis to get to the airport, but had to get there 4 hours before our flight as they were fully booked later, you may have to use Google translate if you’re not a French speaker, they accept bookings by text, and confirm by text. Bothering to do this as it took us 3 hours to get to La Flotte by taking the bus into La Rochelle and getting the bus for La Flotte at the bus station. The return journey saw us at the airport 4 hours before our flight because all the taxis were fully booked. Hope this will be helpful, it is a fabulous place to go if you enjoy low key relaxing holidays, immersed in nature and beautifully unspoilt villages.

Appartement très agréable, salon lumineux, très bien équipé pour se sentir à son aise dès son arrivée, bien agencé (bonne séparation zone jour / zone nuit), très propre.
Accueil parfait. Je recommande et je garde l’adresse pour un prochain séjour.

très bel appartement, chambres et salle de bain très spacieuses. Très bien situé, proche du port et des commerces. Avoir une piscine et parking privé est un plus. Seul bémol pas très important, le réseau téléphonique ne passe pas bien. C'est l'ile qui veut ça.

Très bon séjour à la Flotte
Appartement fonctionnel et tres bien placé à La Flotte, conforme à l 'annonce du site Abritel.
Le seul bémol concerne les extras en supplément qui sont peu satisfaisant: linge de lit non conforme à la taille de la literie tant pour les draps que les taies d'oreiller. Concernant le ménage, nous avons du vider le congélateur car cela n' avait pas été fait et nous avons dénombré pas mal d'araignées au plafond. Malgré tout, cela n a pas gâché notre séjour sur l'île de Ré. A savoir: le réseau 4G ne passe pas à la Flotte !

A défaut de pouvoir prendre l'avion, nous avons décidé de séjourner sur l'île de Ré et quelle belle découverte.
Tant pour l'île que pour le logement.
Superbe appartement situé dans une belle résidence très bien entretenue.
Il est fonctionnel, moderne, agréable, pratique et proche de toutes commodités. Nous avons énormément apprécié le petite attention des propriétaires à notre arrivée... Propriétaires qui se soucient de ses locataires et de leur bien-être. Merci à vous et à Leslie pour son accueil.

Nice flat in a lovely village
Nice flat situated in the lovely village La Flotte. The flat is close to the village centre (less than 5 min walk/3 min with bike to the main street and the market) and also close to a large supermarket. The pool area was very appreciated by our two children. The apartment is suitable for families or couples. We really enjoyed staying here.

Nice facility - kitchen just a little bit too small
The appartment is located in a small facility. The facitility was well maintained with a nice pool. The appartment is just fitting for four people while the kitchen and the sitting area for breakfast/dining was just a little bit small. But to mention that there is a larger sitting area on the terrace which could be used by warm weather. We found all common supplies like toilet paper, spices etc.. Big plus. Some things in larger numbers some less. Besides the small size the kitchen was well equipped. The City center with Restaurants, Supermarket, bicycle renting and bakery is just a 5 minute walk away. We liked to visit the local daily market which is just a small highlight in La Flotte. The local contact and communication was just friendly and all was handled quickly. In sum we had a nice stay and would come back again.
One remark at the end :The cleaning arrangement is not that good. We found a not well cleaned appartment when we arrived. So we negotiated to clean the appartment at the beginning instead of the end. This should be changed somehow. Raise the daily fees depending on number of nights and get it cleaned professionally. You cannot rely on guests.

Spacious, safe appartment a short walk from charming harbour
Well equipped and roomy appartment with a relaxing pool, a peaceful location after a day's cycling and swimming in the sea before going out to the charming restaurants a short walk away. The owners communicated well and ensured we were best prepared. We hope to return to explore more of the island!

We had a wonderful holiday. The apartment was perfect for our needs and more spacious than we thought when we booked. It is clean and has everything you could need for your stay. The pool area is brilliant and it was wonderful to have a small private terrace area. We would highly recommend and hope to be back next year.

Lovely apartment perfectly situated for a family holiday
Lovely, clean and surprisingly spacious apartment perfectly situated in la flotte. Included is everything you should need for a week's stay and the swimming pool is definitely an added bonus. The whole complex is spotless and well maintained. It was the perfect base for our young family. We will be returning! :-)

Sejour plaisant a la Flotte
Appartement tres agreable, bien equipe, propre.
Piscine fraiche, mais appreciable.
Seul souci rencontre lors de ce sejour : la prestation linge de maison (draps, serviettes de toilette et torchons) avait ete oubliee a notre arrivee. Nous avons du attendre la fin de journee pour avoir les draps et les serviettes. Quant aux torchons, nous les avons eus le 3e jour...
Par ailleurs, les draps fournis ne permettaient pas de faire un lit double avec les 2 lits simples.

Exactly as described and very relaxing
The apartment was exactly as described. Immaculate and well presented with a homely feel.
The patio area was a lovely sun to and also have privacy. The swimming pool was always clean with sun loungers, tables and shades available.
Set in a quiet location you were only 5 minutes walk from the market and restaurants.

Great family holiday
We spent 2 weeks in summer, 2 adults and 2 children.
The ground floor apartment has more than enough space with a lovely area for eating al fresco.
The kitchen is small yet has everything you need - don't be put off by the instructions for the oven - it's quite straightforward!!
The pool is spotless and the complex is well maintained. By far the best method of transport on the island is pedal cycle and the parking area allows plenty space for these.
Martine (the key holder) is lovely and has a great knowledge of the island.
The close proximity of the apartment to shopping, the beach and La Flotte's town centre makes it an ideal location for a fantastic family holiday.

Chambres spacieuses et rangements apprécialbes. La salle de bains, également spacieuse, est bien équipée (baignoire et douche). WC séparé : c'est bien !
Nous avons pu nous arranger avec les propriétaires pour arriver 2 jours plus tôt que prévu à un tarif intéressant.
Petite terrasse agréable, un cadeau de bienvenue sympathique ... c'est certain, nous reviendrons !
