Easy communication, clean property and felt that the house was the perfect size. We had quite a few people and it felt like we all had our own space but could still see everyone. Better than the pictures and perfect for a weekend. Would love to come again!

Loved this place. big clean private. The only thing about this place that i didn't like was that one of the bedrooms downstairs only have a single bed, and the extra rooms on the annex do not have a restroom, shower, or a sink. if they make one shower/Bathroom in that area it will be awesome. Overall it was great. enjoyed the stay.

This house is perfect for large groups. Anne is amazing to deal with and very helpful! The new fridge and dishwasher was much needed. There was plenty of everything that you might need. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Our group loved that each of the seven of us had our own bedrooms, and there were plenty of bathrooms. There's a nice spirit of the house. We loved that it is owned by a group of women :) The house is good for people who aren't fussy - the carpet isn't new, the furniture is dated, so one can definitely relax. It would be a good house for people who have kids. We did see a roach in the kitchen. With so much access to the outside, it's probably impossible to keep bugs out but one member of our group was not thrilled to see our little friend immediately upon arrival. The location is great, easy access to Boone. We went to the art of living retreat center to walk and see the sunrises, just .2 miles away (the views from the house are just woodsy so it was nice to see a clear view). They have a vegetarian buffet at the center - it's not great, but if it saved us from cooking one night! There's some maintenance that needs to be addressed. There is a leak under the sink, a toilet was running when we arrived and had to be fussed with to work. (to be fair, we didn't contact the owners about either so I'm not sure if they would have been responsive or not). the check in/out process was very easy and clear. Overall, it was a perfectly fine place for us and would probably work well for any big group that is willing to look past some quirks!

We rented this property for my daughters wedding. We had a large group and used both the house and the annex. The property was perfect for an outdoor wedding and reception. The house more than accommodated all of us without feeling like we were on top of each other. Anne has been a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend this listing!! P. Lewis, Raleigh, NC

This house was perfect for the group of 22 adults. Ample space for gathering.
Check in process was easy and Anne was really good in responding to the queries.
Location is great. Driveway had good gravel, none of the cars had issues getting in or out.
The only suggestion our friends had were to have a bathroom in the basements rooms.
Rest was all good and we had a great time.

First let me say the location was great and the house met our needs. We did a family reunion and engagement announcement we had food out and when everyone came in to eat there were Roaches crawling in the food and we had to throw it all away. Roaches were seen in the bedrooms. I reached out to property manager with no response. The fridge seal was hanging off so nothing would stay cold and still no response from property manager. One of the bedrooms with double beds the box springs were broke on both beds. The grill looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages same with fire pit. Overall the house needs an update on appliances and beds.

Large group
Nice location not far from downtown Boone, grocery stores ect.
Nice set up for multi generational families. Plenty of beds and bathrooms.
No air conditioning so would not be comfortable in the heat of summer.
Needs some good cleaning of kitchen, floors and carpets.

Large Motorcycle Group
The house was large enough for all my motorcycle riders, 14 of us. Very large porch was a nice touch and the fire pit was a good way to relax after a long day of riding local trails.
There were some little problems like no firewood provided, some remote controls from the TV were not working and most of the shower curtains were falling down.
Overall, the group was very happy and we are looking forward to next year already

Better than in the Photos
We loved this stay. The property exceeded our expectations. The hostess was prompt in answering questions or concerns. I would only caution for a group if you are pulling a trailer, back in, or leave the trailer on the road.
This location was perfect for us. I can't think of a way to improve it.
Follow the directions given by hostess, not the GPS.

Great family place!
So many rooms spaced out so noise wasn’t a problem if people went to bed and others stayed up. Anne was very responsive and hospitable. Ceiling fans and box fans in every room was very helpful because there is no A/C. Internet was great and reception for Verizon users was just fine. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future vacations.

Family wedding weekend
We had a wonderful time! The house is very roomy and spacious with lots of room to spread out. Also was exceptionally clean and a well stocked kitchen. We lived on the front porch all weekend! Even without air conditioning in July the house was comfortable. We were unable to use the 4 bedrooms in the annex since there is no bathroom for those rooms and the occupants have to come back to the main house. This is clearly stated in the description but I missed it! My fault! But with the large rooms we were able to sleep 20 without using the annex. Overall a wonderful house and we would definitely stay again. And Anne was wonderful to work with. Very helpful and responsive!

Quirky but cool
The house was great. The quirky decor led to many evening conversations. The house was large and easily accommodated our group. For very large groups, parking will be an issue unless you can park on the street. Close to Boone and Blowing Rock and we visited both. Even walked the trails by the house. Plan on booking for next year as well.

Gathering for memorial event
This was the perfect setup for our large extended family. We were able to offer every family unit its own space. The location was pleasant and had places to get out and walk around. It did not hurt that it was in Watauga County. A good portion of the crew grew up in Boone and our family home was sold years ago. When we needed to gather for our father and grandfather's memorial, a home in the mountains that would hold us all was not easy to find. This particular location seems to have many options but this one worked great for us. It really was a very easy process. We would stay here again.

Roberson
Nice place with lots of space for a big group like we had. Our only issue was hot water ran out quickly lol . Even with neighbors around you still had a feeling of seclusion.

Boone’s Best
A perfect house for a family of various ages. It was ideal for our 3 adult kids and grandmother to have separate areas to retreat during our stay. Loved the all of the details of the house and it encouraged family game nights sans phones. Every kid mentioned during our stay it was our best family vacation ever. Thank you Anne for an amazing time!!

Very Spacious
We stayed at this property with 4 families all together. There were total of 8 adults and 8 children. It is very a very spacious house. We did not have to use the rooms downstairs where another 8 people could sleep. I would highly recommend this place for large gatherings with family and friends.

Felt Right at Home
The house had lots of space, we did not use 5 of the bedrooms that were offered and the 12 of us had lots of room to move about. The decor is very eclectic but yet welcoming. We made lots of memories this weekend at the house. If need a home in Boone again this will be at the top of our list.

Large Accommodations
Very large house with plenty of room and places to breakout if you need a little privacy or having multiple activities going on at once (TV watching, playing games, eating, reading, etc.). Comfy beds, large bedrooms and just the right amount of bathrooms. Regulating the heat was tricky, but once we realized that several windows were slightly left open (the top of several windows were down just enough to let in the cold winter air at check-in) it was comfortable. Plenty of towels, washcloths, and kitchen cloths. What would have been nice is if the kitchen had mixing bowls and storage containers. Dinner plates and bowls, coffee mugs and glasses were fine, but the rest of the kitchen utensils appeared to be a hodgepodge of thrift store items. House is old, but maybe that adds some character. Themed rooms were really nice and the decor made for interesting thoughts of times gone by. Two sitting rooms for viewing TV was a bonus as is the second kitchenette. This was my first time using VRBO for a rental, so not much to compare it to. For the price, I got what I anticipated and have no complaints. Checkin and check couldn't have been easier. I would recommend a dishwasher as the one that is there didn't clean the dishes, even after rinsing them first before putting them in the washer. Oh, and the washer and dryers were awesome - large and fairly new. Lovely stay.

Weekend stay
House as advertised was very spacious. I had 5 different families (17 people) and had plenty of room to spread out. Deck on front is big also. Owner was very responsive anytime I reached out. The one thing I was shocked about and no one put in the reviews was there was no air conditioning in the house so all the windows stayed open and it rained for 2 days straight so everything was damping. Luckily the weather didn't get above 75 during the day. Stores are within 6 miles of the house and makes it convenient. I'd definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

Family Getaway
Cousins and their families representing 4 generations got together to relax and just enjoy each other’s company. We ate, played and danced! We had a great time and the Devi YaYa house was very accommodating. We had plenty of room to sleep and eat at one time. There wasn’t any AC but the weather was beautiful and the continuous Mountain breeze kept us cool. Would definitely go back!
