My extended family and I all gathered her for a bit of family reunion. It is a great space we enjoyed both the inside and the outside areas. There was lots of space to spread out, but also able to gather all in one space too. The basement of the home was musty smelling and a few updates could be made, but overall we had a wonderful time. The host was great at communicated and the home was all set up and ready for us upon arrival. I was concerned about the temperature with just the window AC units, but they worked really well and the temperature was good.

Our team came up for a fishing tournament on the St.Lawrence river. There was plenty of room for parking, places for our boats to plug in! The house was big and has lots of room to space out, we loved the pool and ping pong table! We also fished the little river going around the property and caught some fish! Overall we had a great stay and had a fun time!

It was private and great

Our family takes an annual holiday with our children and grandchildren. The house was clearly a stunner in its heyday, but its fading. No central air, just units in a few rooms. The hot tub was broken, so no joy there. It is very spacious

This is the second time we rented this property. What truly brings my family back is the large house with plenty of space to spread out AND all the 4 wheeling trails. We have to drive a bit to go 4 wheeling in Baltimore County, Maryland...so being able to go 4 wheeling in your own back yard is sweet. We spent our days ripping down the trails and our evening talking by the fire pit. My group consisted of 4 kids (ages 6-13) and 9 adults. The bugs are outrageous so bring plenty of big spray, foggers for the yard, and bug zappers. The house is beautiful but needs a little work. The downstairs bathroom needs updating. The master bathroom sink faucet is loose. And a kitchen cabinet door was falling down. The furniture, fixtures, and antiques are very unique. The game room was our hang out once the bugs were too much to handle in the evening. Bring fans because there is no central air conditioning. The window units work just fine, but the game room doesn't have any air conditioning. The patio is perfect until the bugs come out. Tyler, the property manager, was absolutely amazing. He was easy to get a hold of and checked in on my group a few times. He made us feel welcomed. He got a new air conditioning unit when one stopped working and brought us more propane for the grill. I suggest doing most of your cooking on the grill to keep the house cooler. Honestly, I will be back next year and probably the year after that too.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very nice and plentiful. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of silverware, cooking items, spices, etc. were available. The game room was nice but needed air conditioning, especially with the windows and sun. The horses out back were cool to see each evening. The trails would have been better if we had a four-wheeler. The few we had were not easy to walk on. The air-conditioning is window units for the rooms only. They aren't shown in the pictures. The dining room has a floor unit that is loud and has trouble keeping up with the dining room, kitchen and living room. One of the upstairs bedrooms did not have an air conditioner. I assume it was getting replaced. The owner was quick to answer questions and helpful. The pictures on the site do not match the current state of the property. There is no trampoline or swing set in the back. There is a broken hot tub next to the garage and a broken hot tub on the patio. The fields are overgrown and the landscaping around the house is not well kept up. Our main problem was the advertised water view, on a river and on the waterfront. The property does have a gorgeous river running through it, but it is not viewable near the house. The picture on the website of the river is not viewable from this property unless you travel through high brush and trees. This was one of the things we liked about the property, and we were disappointed the river was not available for use or viewing.

This was a great rural spot! Derek was accommodating with booking changes, and the property manager, Tyler, was super helpful and communicative. He even gave the group an impromptu wood chopping class! Even though it was cold and wet (we stayed in early April for the eclipse), it was a lot of fun here.
The outdoors property really lived up to the listing! Inside, there was lots of space to relax and a well-equipped kitchen. We also took advantage of the game room, which is a big plus whether you have kids or not.
We did have a few gripes, but they did not even come close to ruining things for us.
The host or manager got mixed up and they thought we had booked to check in a day later. Because of this, the house wasn’t ready for us when we showed up. For instance, old food in the cupboards, some mouse droppings, and dead flies near the windows. As it was the off-season, part of the mess was likely due to the house being vacant for a while.
The basement toilet was broken. However, the other bathrooms were in working order. Also, two upstairs rooms are listed as having a twin bed, but they don’t. These things would mostly be concerns for larger groups. I’d also recommend downloading anything you need ahead of time. Being rural, our cell service was not great, and the wi-fi could be spotty.
Overall, our stay was great! I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxed, rural place to share with their family and friends.

The house is absolutely beautiful. There was plenty of room for my family to spread out and have their own space (we had a total of 8 adults and 5 children). The master bedroom and bathroom is elegant. The upstairs bathroom is gorgeous. The game room kept the family occupied in the late evenings. Everybody loved the 4wheeling trails. The horses are friendly. We are planning on making this an annual trip now.

The house is wonderful, the preparation of the house, not so wonderful. Because there was no drawer and only insufficient closet space, we were made to feel like unexpected guests. Everything else -- the horses, the kitchen, dining, and living room areas, most congenial. The game room was a hit for the entire family.

This house is so much more than the pictures show! Lots of room and the grounds are just beautiful!

Beautiful property, nice large house. Would have liked to have had a place to put clothing in dressers but they were ful of owners items. Luke, the property manage was very helpful and very friendly. Grandchildren had lots of room to play and didn't want to leave at the end of the week. They loved the horses as well. Game room was a big plus, hours of fun.

House was in a nice area on a beautiful farm. It was everything we needed. The only changes I would ask for is a better upkeep of the outside. Maybe some cut paths to the creek and trails so we could walk and explore and a little better yard maintenance. Otherwise we loved it and it fit all our needs! The manager was very kind and we enjoyed our visits with him. We will most definitely rent again.

This is a really cool place! The pictures don’t do justice to it.

Had a great time. Our group was 6 adults and 1 four year old. Hearing the horses trot across the field was awesome! They were very gentle and ate from our hands. Just make sure you don’t feed them anything harmful. The game room was awesome. The numerous trails are great for hiking or “wheelin”. The evenings are great for a little campfire or a dip in the hot tub. my only constructive criticism is that it would have been nice to have some printed instructions regarding the house and the area etc. However, we figured things out pretty quickly. And the groundskeeper was available all week if we needed him. Overall we had a great time. Thanks Derek Hope to visit again

The ranch has room to explore, with numerous intersecting trails that make it impossible to get lost. The house was spacious, with enough amenities for our family. It is a ranch, and not a Hilton! Have the right expectations, and you will really enjoy. Hat’s off to Derek and Luke for making this work even though Covid had made things really challenging for all. This location is for the businessman or family that wants to enjoy more rural and isolated living. Local fishing on the St. Lawrence River and Lake Norwood make it attractive for the fisherman who is willing to launch and pull out a boat daily. Regional golf courses are also available.

We had a group of 7 co workers in town for work. The house was perfect! We each had our own bedroom! The property sits on 300acres of woods with trails and pasture that the horses hang out in. The horses also dont mind being fed at the fence, we went through alot of carrots. Night skies are amazing and if that isnt happening the game room with ping pong, pool, darts and plenty of couchs for people to hang around will keep you occupied. House wide Sonos system made for a great overall sound in and outside the house. Hottub and fire pit out back added even more to the place. I cant say enough great things about the property. The biggest benefit is the owner is very easy to work with and definitely takes pride in his home.

Great place to stay. Plenty of room for parking especially with four trucks and boats. Derek was very helpful and the house has everything you need and more! Definitely recommend staying here.
