Wow we had a great time! This lodge suits us. Ladies loved the kitchen and stove. Kids loved the game room. Men loved 2 grills out on the porch. Nice firepit outback however the wood supply was limited. Access to traiks is very close. Peaceful location. Sauna room was enjoed. Bar was used to sit around and converse until the wee hours. 6 families gathered to bring back an old family tradition of cook out on labor day my grandfather started many moons agao. We are already planning it for next year and voted this will be our spot!

The house was great for my family of 8 adults and 8 kids. Backyard was fun to run around in and have fires for s’mores. The house could use a good cleaning and some repairs but overall good. The host was quick to respond to any questions.

Had a great time watching the eclipse and spending time with friends and family! Spacious, comfy, great amenities. Hunting lodge charm!

Our group (16 adults, 4 toddlers and 2 infants, 1 dog) loved the house. So much space for us to enjoy and not feel like we were on top of each other. The kitchen made it very easy to cook for everyone, which is necessary given the isolated location (not a negative!!!). We really enjoyed the steam room and fireplace.
I've started in cleaner houses but it was clean enough especially given the size. Some of the table games in the game room were not in great condition but we weren't there to use them.
Really really appreciate that the host sent someone to plow out the large parking area during our stay given the large snow storm that hovered over the area during our stay.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend for a large group who wants to enjoy each others company and do the many outdoor activities that Lake Placid has to offer.

This place was perfect for my large family. Plenty of room to spread out, large back yard with fire pit, which was going every night. Ample seating throughout house and outside. Screened in porch was great for the rainy day we had. Kitchen was amazing with the huge commercial stove/oven. Ample supplies left so there was no emergency to get to store. It was campy but in a good way. We love the Adirondacks. If anything could be made better about this place, it would be on water and a wee closer to town. But we didn't care!

The Wild Goose Lodge was probably a lovely place when the pictures posted online were taken. Its not like that now. The house has not been maintained except for some base cleaning. If i had known the condition of the house i would never had rented it. We took the time to do some cleaning to make it work but the pictures aren't representing the property we found. Shame on the owners and managers for not forwarning us or posting current pictures of what you get for your money. Not sure how to trust renting thru VRBO in the future

We had a great time. The house was great for our group of 23, ranging in age from (2) to (86). We had bedrooms and beds for all. Lots of yard to play in. We had all sorts of sports and water fun activities planned and we were able to play them all. The game room downstairs was a huge hit, especially on the day we had some rain. There was more than enough space for crafts, games etc.
The kitchen was awesome for a group our size. We loved the two dishwashers making it possible to use regular plates instead of paper. Our biggest challenge was fighting the biting bugs which was certainly no fault of the property. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful property!!

This was a great place for family to gather and reminisce about our loved one who passed. Lots of room, plenty of beds, and bathrooms. The game room was an added bonus. Trails were awesome. Just know stores are about 20 miles away. But great place to stay.

This is a great house. Plenty of room for a large group. A lot of excellent features. Love the sauna. Plenty of bathrooms. Lots of comfortable beds. A ton of wood for the campfire. Quiet and gorgeous neighborhood. Far enough away from civilization yet close enough to find it. It is our second time staying and we will definitely return. Huge yard for yard games. Great firepit in back. Love the layout. The downstairs is a fun place for everyone to play. Great for all ages. Love, love, love.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jessica’s home! There is tons of space, almost every bedroom has an AC unit and a fan, which really helps on hot summer nights. There is a lot of space for family get togethers so we weren’t bumping into each other constantly. It’s a short 20 or so minute ride to Saranac and just a few more minutes to Lake Placid. The location is nice and quiet. We played wiffle ball in the yard and celebrated two birthdays while we were there! The grills on the back porch were great for cooking and ample storage in the kitchen. Jessica was very quick to respond to all my questions and helped us to enjoy the trip as much as possible. Great place!

This house was spacious enough to wish we had even more people staying with us! Upstairs are 8 bedrooms set up dorm style with numbers on the doors. Bedrooms were comfy. Downstairs there are multiple fridges a a freezer with an industrial stove. The kitchen made cooking for a crowd with multiple chefs a breeze. There is a very well stocked kitchen and pantry. Although there were cosmetics that needed updating and cleaning, we were very happy with our
stay here with a big group. we loved the fire pit and large yard. We would definitely go back again.

A super comfortable spot that easily accommodated our 15 family members. Loved that there are multiple hangout spots, like living room, fire pit in back, kitchen, basement rec room, and den. Amazing kitchen facilities and just a very comfy vibe. Thanks!

We enjoyed our stay in the lovely house. The upkeep could be improved but this house has it all. It also has a nice big yard and we played cornhole a lot and had fires almost every night. I think this house is ideal for family reunions or people who just want to relax and be away from it all. I would definitely go back some day.

Our extended family of 13 (ages 2-60) stayed at WGL over Christmas and had a wonderful time. The house is laid out perfectly to accommodate so many people, and gave plenty of space to spread out. The house is a bit rustic, but things were clean and everything worked properly. Communication with owner/property management was easy, and they even helped return a precious left behind stuffed animal for our 2 year old. One thing to note, there was zero cell reception and with a group our size, the satellite internet was not the best. It didn't really hinder our stay, and when we cleaned the satellite dish off the signal improved, just caught us a bit off guard not knowing ahead of time. All in all, this is a great house for the money and we would return.

The place was just awesome. Loved the stay for 4 days. The amenities were great and we had all the comfort required for the stay. With kids this place is great for playing and very spacious. Love to come again.

We enjoyed our stay. A bit of confusion as to where to find keys since lockbox was moved but description wasn't changed. Also, one less fridge than description as one was out of order. We had to clean both fridges from previous occupants. Several partially drank drinks, rotting fruit and other perishables left in fridge. Wet cloths left in washer. Table was sticky and when wiped down the white cloth was gray. So, to start we were kind of disappointed having to clean before we started. Once that was behind us, we had an excellent stay, place was large enough for kids not to drive us crazy. Fire pit was great for making memories. Rooms were fine, beds were comfy. Lots for kids to play with, kitchen was wonderful to cook for 13 ppl! Yard was large enough for 5 kids to play in and the lives the trail behind it, picking berries daily. Overall it was a great place to stay. Wish there was directions on how to use steam room and how to clean flat top. Had to light flat top with a lighter instead of just turning on which could be iffy if you didn't know what you were doing.
Kitchen had anything you could think of and was great to have. Disappointed we had to pay a cleaning fee since we left the place MUCH cleaner than we found it. Would definitely recommend staying her though. Great memories made.

The road this house is on is gorgeous and as we were a group of motorcyclists we enjoyed riding the Adirondack region everyday.
The house was perfect for preparing meals and relaxing. We pretty much spent our time in the screened porch and around the fire pit. Great house!

Great piece of real estate with ample space for large groups - we never felt like we were on top of each other. The property had a large yard suitable for outdoor entertainment and for kids to roam around. Would certainly return.

Large, comfortable Lodge. EVERYTHING you could think of was provided! Rooms were very comfortable, Kitchen was commercial quality and well supplied. Loved the Steam room! Snowmobile trail ran behind and accross from the Lodge.

House has a great layout for a group. Awesome kitchen/bar area opens to great Livingroom. We love the fireplace, and also used the outdoor firepit every day. Our family has rented here 3 times, never feels crowded. We love the location with trail system /state lands that surround the house. We had some housekeeping issues that were addressed swiftly by management , awesome memories made here. We would definitely rent here again.

This is a great location for large groups. We skied Whiteface over the weekend and relaxed every night by the fireplace. Breakfast for 14 every morning was no problem for the commercial stovetop, including a griddle.
