And we're looking forward to our eighth. Everything about this log cabin on the river is right. Peter is a gracious host. The guy you'd want for a neighbor back home. The property is immaculate. The view from porch and patio is blissful. The neighborhood is quiet, but groceries, dining and sightseeing are nearby. Mostly, though, we just love to sit with the river in view, read and talk.

My stay at this oceanfront cabin in Maine was absolutely fantastic! The cabin itself is beautiful and cozy, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. The location is unbeatable, right on the ocean and only 15 minutes from the charming downtown of Boothbay.
We loved waking up to the stunning ocean views every morning and spending our days exploring the nearby attractions. The cabin was immaculately clean and well-maintained, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
This was one of the best vacations we've ever had, and we can’t wait to return. If you're looking for a peaceful and picturesque retreat, this cabin is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!

We loved sitting at water’s edge with our coffee in the morning or reading a book in the afternoon. The cabin had everything we needed - the fireplace was wonderful. Peter was a caring host. What more could one ask for. It was a wonderful experience. We will come back.

We’ve stayed at the cabin five times. I can’t think of anything that would make the experience better — other than more time there. We spend most of our vacation on the patio or the deck, reading and looking our at the Damariscotta River. Most relaxing time of the year. And Peter is a wonderful host

The owner was cordial, cooperative, and never intruded. The interior of this authentic log cabin had charm and character. It was ideally situated on the property to have commanding views of the river. We observed a variety of waterfowl and even a few harbor seals. Overall, it was a very private, quiet and peaceful way to vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed the rustic, but very charming log cabin that Peter has created! Everything he has done is tasteful and supports comfort and respite from the hectic lives we live in a city.
Peter is very considerate and enjoyable! We will definitely be back!

We had a great week staying in this cabin. Property was clean and had everything you needed for the week. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were nice. The area is quiet, no issues sleeping with the windows open.
Thank you Peter for sharing your cabin with us.

This was one of our favorite stays in Maine. The property was in a very quiet location yet a short drive to Boothbay center. It was a beautiful, well decorated cabin. It was fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The view was incredible. We saw may seals that were fun to watch from the patio. It was a perfect place to kayak. We loved that we could walk a short distance (less than 1mile) to the General store. Peter was a great host.

When searching for a place to call home during our Maine vacation, I wanted to find a place that would appeal to my husband as much as it did to me. I knew I’d picked the right spot when my husband, not a man to waste words, commented several times that he loved our little cabin! If you’re looking for that camp feel, but want it comfortable rather than spartan, this is the place! The kitchen was well equipped, the furniture in the living room comfortable,

This was our second visit to this charming log cabin on the water. We bought our kayaks and really appreciated the kayak dock (tip: it's very easy to take your boats down the tide ramp to the floating dock at high tide). Enjoyed wood fires in the big stone hearth to cut the chill in the morning and evening - and had several pleasant conversations with Peter, the host. Something new: we made a nice lunch with company on the new (since our last visit) stone patio with gas grill and stout teak furniture. A good week !

We’ve just completed our fifth summer stay at the cabin and signed up for a sixth. How’s that for satisfied customers? It’s an ideal location for folks who like a quiet getaway without feeling cutoff. The log cabin is beautiful and so is the view. Our gracious landlord can’t be beat.

This was our second stay here and it was terrific. Loved the new patio area and uber-comfortable adirondack rockers. Also made use of the new fridge and oven. This is a special place and we look forward to next year’s visit!

The accommodations were exceptional. A totally restored and nicely furnished log cabin (old west cowboy and seafaring memorabilia adorned the living space)that made the stay uniquely chic. We BBQ'd and dined on the beautiful slate patio off a spacious porch while enjoying the serenity of a cove full of seabirds and marine life. A wonderful place to unwind and relax! Our host ,Peter , was most accommodating and
shared many anecdotes about the area.

Peter is a gracious and welcoming host and his care for this beautiful property is absolutely evident. Communication was easy and straight-forward. This cabin is absolutely one of a kind with a history that is fascinating. This is the authentic Maine cabin experience with unbeatable water views- warm, cozy and well appointed. And the outdoor shower is just a dream! The beds were very comfortable with high quality linens. The kitchen was well stocked and included modern amenities. We especially enjoyed the patio, grill and comfortable outdoor furniture and spent nights star gazing. The location itself couldn't be better- plenty of excellent shopping, dining, beaches & trailheads. We enjoyed all of the character and history of the property and look forward to reserving it again in the future.

As always Peter was a very gracious host. Friendly and there if you need him but never intrusive. The view from the new patio is spectacular and creates an atmosphere of total relaxation. The property is very quiet on a dead-end road but it’s less than 10 minutes to the downtown area and anything you want or need.

We loved our stay at Meadow Cove. We were looking for a quiet, off the beaten path place to rest and restore. The log cabin, especially the porch and patio area were ideal for that. We loved getting up early to watch the sunrise most mornings and got used to a front row seat from our Adirondack chairs. We also appreciated the authentic style of the cabin with plenty of modern amenities. Everything was cozy and just enough. Additionally, the water access off the dock for our family of kayakers was super. We spent time exploring Meadow Cove, Fort Island, and the harbor at Lobsterman's Wharf. Peter, our host, was genuine, helpful and kind. Our peaceful Meadow Cove memories will last a lifetime.

We stayed at this property last summer and loved it so much we came back with our daughter. We spent many hours on the patio enjoying the spectacular view of the river.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin in East Boothbay! The house was well equipped for our week away (kitchen essentials, cozy furniture, lots of spots to sit and view the river from) and treated us so well. Would recommend!

Perfect Maine stay
The log cabin is charming, well appointed (lacking for nothing), loveingly cared for and perfectly situated on the river with long, beautiful views of the Damariscotta River. Sailboats, lobster boats, kayaks are every day sightings. This spot is a short drive to the town of Boothbay Harbor area with its attractive shops and restaurants. A delightful stay.

We had a great time here - it's a gem and we enjoyed every minute of the beautiful views and ideal location. Proximity to Boothbay Harbor, Wiscasset and Damariscotta - right around the corner. Charming house, beautiful spot, gracious host!
We loved our stay in East Boothbay. The cabin is charming, of another era, and so perfect...from big stone fireplace to gorgeous views. The area is quiet and peaceful...we really loved exploring the area. There is a great general store and fabulous wharf for seafood (the food truck salty boyz was delicious). Our host Peter could not have been more gracious or charming and we truly enjoyed meeting him.

Gorgeous views & amazing interiors
We really enjoyed our stay at Peter's cabin. The Damariscotta River was full of wildlife--seals, herons--and the cabin itself is full of amazing details and beautiful furnishings. One small note: the pictures for this property show a seating area next to stone wall directly adjacent to the water. This was not available to us. We did have an outdoor seating area (plus a wonderful covered porch), but did not have access to the area shown in pictures.

location the best
It’s close to town and shops but you can just kick back and enjoy the view from the dock, porch or yard.

Paradise at Meadow Cove
The location of this log cabin is close enough to Boothbay Harbor for societies but secluded enough to enjoy nature. The view of Meadow Cove is spectacular and my husband enjoyed fishing from the dock. We loved the log cabin with all it's quirkiness and pioneer feel. Our host Peter was available ro answer any questions and give us suggestions.

Boothbay cabin
This log cabin style cottage was a perfect place to relax and enjoy time away from the office. A beautiful location, very quiet and secluded from neighbors. Peter was a gracious host who responded quickly to any questions. Location is a few minutes from downtown Boothbay but also has an excellent general store and outdoor seafood restaurant right around the corner. Beds were very comfortable, outdoor seating was comfortable and plentiful. Good spot to launch your kayak - right from the property. Tons of bird activity including bald eagles and osprey. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect Get-away Location
We found the quaint rustic cabin in East Boothbay to be the perfect spot to get away. The cabin is not remote, with the owner just a few steps away, yet we felt the peace and solitude we needed for our vacation. The owner kept us supplied with firewood for the fireplace which we used every day. Stores are within easy driving distance; small towns and restaurants are a few miles away; the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens are within a few miles. We could drive to Bar Harbor and back in a day and visit other towns and lighthouses easily. All in all the most relaxing vacation we have had.

Perfect Coastal Getaway
Better than imagined. Rustic yet refined and what a beautiful location. Our host was accessible and responsive. Ample supply of firewood supplied for evening and morning fires. Cabin stocked with all necessities. Close to stunningly beautiful hiking trails along the water and quaint villages. Will most definitely return.

Outstanding spot
As described, it is a log cabin, so don’t expect a brand new building. It is very charming, comfortable and well equipped. The linens were very nice. Be sure you have access to an online streaming service for TV in the evenings. Peter is a very welcoming and helpful host and kept our wood supply full which we needed as September this year has been very chilly. We had a very relaxing week.

Splendid Spot
This was our third summer at the cabin, and we plan to be back next summer. We couldn’t ask for more in a cabin, a location, a view or a landlord.
